Woodcliff - Oooh ouch! A hernia, that doesn't sound nice! Hope all is ok when you go back to sonographer!

Re: Baby showers, as we don't have them here in the UK, I've decided that I am going to invite round a few friends and pay the beauty therapist to come and give us mini facials, pedicures and manicures. Although, I guess things are meant to be for mother & baby, I just wanted a way to thank all those who have given us support through all of our IVF treatments over the past couple of years, I can think of nothing nicer than having a lovely evening with friends. I am not even going to mention gifts, but will keep my fingers crossed that they buy me something...lol :D

Thanks Hayley, your post really boosted me!

WC, hope you're OK? what is the next step?

Vlada, don't worry about being on the small side as long as the DR isn't worried you shouldn't be. I too am measuring small. I've put on 28 pounds but the twins are coming up average.

So I went for my second glucose tolerance test today - not much fun..... a 12 hour fast (fortuntaley overnight), a baseline blood draw (not a finger prick) then double the quantity of that revolting sugar drink followed by a blood draw every hour for the next 3 hours. I felt awful - dizzy, sick and bored of waiting for 3 hours with no food or drink! I hope no-one else has to go through it. I guess I get the results in a couple of weeks and just hope that I pass this time. I have had enough of needles!

Starting to feel exhausted and wondering whether I can really continue to work full time. Everything has started to take me twice as long and I;m getting out of breath very quicky. My hands have also joined in the swelling fun which lead to a very painful night of trying to get my wedding ring off!

Didn't mean this to be a moan as other than the above all is well and good. Can't wait to hit the 28 week milestone....

Can't believe that we're in February now, it won't be long until we are sharing birth stories!! lots to do before that!!

Take care all
