The samples that were taken from my husband were stored at The London Fertility centre. This is based in Grey's Inn Road, where the Lomdon Dental Hospital is. This causes much ammusement as it is the first line of the address. Anyway sperms are not stuck anymore so all ready to rock and roll tomorrow!!!!

DrBoots – it sounds like that could be from the side of your uterus where they saw fluid in your lining during your u/s???? Please let us know what your RE says when you see or speak w/ him/her.
Hey everyone! Had a quick break at my conference and just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone for all your kind words! Definitely feeling some symptoms so I have my fingers crossed for Wed beta! Good luck tom Helene and babyluv!!

I know I'm rather late to this board - seems like it's been going for a while, so I hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm just starting out on my 3rd try at IVF. It's the first time I'm doing FET so it's feeling a bit new and strange. So far I've had an injection (think it was to stop me ovulating) and I'm now taking the drug Progynova (think it's to get my lining thick). It's all a bit of a mystery because it's all in French, but I'm just so happy not to have to have injections, that I'm not asking too many questions!! I think the ET will happen mid April if all goes well. I heard that the success rate for FET falls from about 30% (fresh) to just 20%. That depressed me a bit, but I'm trying to stay positive. If anyone has any wise-words for me, particularly about FET, I'd be really grateful.
thanks, and good luck to all you brave people.

Emmax – welcome to our little family! I have had a fresh cycle before in 2008 and they put you under general anesthesia for the procedure so you shouldn’t feel anything for the retrieval. I do recommend taking the full day off from work as you will be pretty sleeping for the entire day.

Kushka – I want to welcome you also to our little family! Yes, FET can have lower success rates but that doesn’t mean that will happen to you. There are plenty of ladies who have had very successful FET on this site. As a matter of fact, there are several women right here on this particular chat forum who have had recent luck w/ FET’s. I personally did not have a BFP w/ my FET last year but I had other extenuating circumstances involved in my process.
Thanks for your warm welcome Angela. And thanks for the encouragement too. I'm trying so hard to be positive about this one, so great to hear that there are lots of success stories out there. I'm looking forward to hearing them. What about you Angela? It seems from your signature that you've been through a really tough time. Are you cycling now?

Yes, I am doing a fresh cycle this time because I will be 35 in Sept and I have almost reached my lifetime max for my insurance. I am injecting my stims right now and I am supposed to have my retrieval in 3/31 and the transfer on 4/5. I am becoming so very excited but I don’t want to get my hopes up too high. I am nervous also because I will only be transferring 1 embryo because my RE thinks it is too dangerous for me to get pregnant w/ twins like I did last time. He absolutely refuses to transfer more than one embryo. I understand the reasoning behind his decision but I also look at the cost & time associated w/ each transfer … and I start panicking all over again!

Welcome Kushka, I would like to personally welcome you because I did my first FET with embryo adoption from my clinic and I am pregnant... So we first did an IVF with Donor Egg but it failled so I had to wait for someone else to have embryos to give to us ... and once I adopted I decided to try and do a completly natural cycle because I am able to get pg just that my eggs are no more good... so I just went after my ovulation and they put them in with absolutely NO monitoring and it worked... I am shocked I have to admit but you know what they say!!! FETs are MORE successful then FRESH IVF sometimes BECAUSE it is a lot less STRESSFUL... you go you girl and believe in it ... it works.
Enjoy and good luck.
