Unexplained-I am sad for your loss, however am happy to hear you and DH ave made your plans. All I knew from being at our fertility clinic was they would help to do donor matching with you. Women and men come in for donor procedures, and they keep very tight records on who the folks are genetically. I am sure you will find what works best for you. You sound like a strong person, and am only hoping for your continued strength to bring you to the next stage! I have read plenty about folks who considered both adoption, and donor eggs and both getting awesome results!

hopeful-I'm glad you got all registered. I know, my DH was completely overwhelmed as well, and yes if he had to get outside I would have laughed as well! It has sunk in now, but he jumps the gun more to the "safety" factors we need to consider in the home...uh, not til he crawls and begins to pull himself up, dear :)

Dakota-I'm sorry for your family's loss, but am glad to hear you are doing well.

crogers-that's awesome you got your cribs set up too. We have our crib picked out, but DH is travelling right now so when he gets back we will purchase it, and set it up. We got the mattress over a week ago, and its just sitting waiting.

Take care ladies. I think I probably still have the prize for biggest belly yet, and I'd even compare to those of you having twins. I don't have a lot of room on my short-waisted frame, and even my OB laughed when she saw me at the half-way mark! :)

I know what I wanted to ask: QUESTION FOR ALL LADIES:

do you think you are looking like you're going straight out, or growing all over AND with your reply, are you having a girl or boy? I'm having a boy, and I'm going straight out; way out :)

Well I had to go see the OB yesterday because I have some weird rash on my inner thighs/butt cheeks. I know women get a rash quite often on their belly and arms, but they had never seen mine before...figures. They put me on an antibiotic in case it's a bacterial infection, ran a culture (waiting for results), and they'll see me next week for my ultrasound and scheduled visit. If it's still there they're going to send me to a dermatologist. Anyone else have this? It looks like I have about 50 little red bites on my inner thighs and they itch like crazy. Good thing was I got to hear the baby's heartbeat, which had been too long since the last time. It was beautiful :)

ftg - I hear ya on the getting big part, my mom saw me for the first time and was blown away by how big my belly is at only 18 weeks. My uterus actually measures at 20 weeks and has been measuring 2 weeks ahead for quite some time, so that may be why I'm showing earlier. To answer your question, I'm growing all over!!! I'm having a girl and I hear that's the case with girls and straight out with boys, so I'll be interested to see what others say.

unexplained infertility - I'm truly sorry for your loss and wish you the best of luck in your next pregnancy. I do not have any experience with donors, but think my RE's office offered a donor program.

hopefulinillinois - Too funny about your DH, I'm sure it's totally different for them since they're not expanding by the minute :) Hmm, 2 1/2 weeks away from your due date is a bit crazy, but either way it's sweet...it's more gifts :) I also had an amnio and everything came back great, but we're still on for our level 2 ultrasound next Tuesday. I think the level 2 is something they do no matter what, since that's really the last time most OB's look at the baby before delivery. No cravings here at all, I'm waiting for that to happen!

Dakota - I'm sorry for your and DH's loss, my goodness you've had a lot going on the past few months! Makes sense on getting everything ready 4-6 weeks ahead, especially if the baby comes early. I chose the Kayla bedding on potterybarnkids.com. I've had a few gift certificates for quite some time and figured I'd spend it on baby stuff :) We're also planning to use a cradle for the first few months, but I'm guessing I won't have the energy to get things ready after she arrives.

Hopefull- Your DH is funny!! I am glad you had a blast registering!! Its so much fun, but I stress out thinking that no one is going to buy from the registry. Yeah, I'm abnormally paranoid!!! Yes, I think 2.5 weeks is really cutting it close, I would suggest maybe if she could do it earlier? I know with all of my showers, I was asked what date I wanted them.

Ftg- I am having a girl and I am growing ALL over. I see these cute round ball bellies and mine goes from top to bottom, side to side. Of course my butt and thighs think they are having a baby as well.

Angram- Sorry for your rash, now I am all worried. I had a rash on my stomach last week and I just put creme on it and it went away in a day, I got a small spot on my boob and the inching and bumps went away, but there is still a small dark spot where it has not cleared all the way. I guess I call the nurse and see what she has to say. I just never thought about it!!!

Did you all do your 2nd trimester blood work? How long did it take to come back? Its been over a week now and I am starting to freak out thinking they have not called yet because something is wrong. I have my big u/s next week and the anxiety is starting to come on full force.
I am such a bad mommy...when I listen to the HB daily I can usually hear her in there moving all over the place and feel her, well yesterday she was not, so I lightly poked my belly in a few spots to get her moving just so I could feel it. So bad!!!

Anyone having sleeping issues? I am trying SO hard to sleep on my sides, but I wake up with my arm asleep, so I roll over to the other side then I'll wake up with that arm asleep. How do you sleep on your side without your arms falling asleep?? Also, I am starting to run into issues shaving...utoh!!!

Hope all is well with everyone!!

Unexplained, I am glad for you that you made your decision, and can now look to the future and a healthy pregnancy. I don't know anything about donor eggs, apart from thank goodness for science allowing all of us wonderful options to have the baby we wish for. I hope all goes well for you, and stay strong.

Dakota, sorry about your DH's grandpa. I've been feeling some movements, but not that many yet. I do feel some everyday now, but just a little bit and it's all on the right side of my belly so far where the boy was hanging around upside down last time we saw him! Baby A is lower down in my pelvis - maybe she is deeper in so I can't feel her yet?? Are you getting proper kicks and all now? Shaving issues - I can see how it will become nigh on impossible! I was peeing in the cup at the OBs last week and realised that that must become the same way too.....

Hopeful - hahaha your husband's reaction was too funny! Mine already has 3 kids from his previous marriage, his response was more like 'here we go again!'. Bless - i guess reality is now sinking in for him! Two baby showers will be cool, at least what you dont' get from the first one you can really plug for the second! And you never know, maybe ur little one could be present for the second, I agree that is very close to your due date!

Ftg, glad you are doing okay, and we will have to start posting belly pics soon - maybe we can have a competition for the biggest belly! So far mine is growing some but I can still suck a lot of it in - so I guess that part doesn't count so much (!) So - I am growing a little out, but also all over - and it's a boy and a maybe girl!

Angram - hope the antibiotic helps with the rash and it goes away. That sounds pretty uncomfortable and a bummer if they're itching a lot too. Glad you got to hear the heartbeat tho :) I'm going to look up the bedding u bought after posting this - how exciting!

Hey Ladies--

How is everyone doing? I am doing great! Minus the little cold I have going on. I feel like I have had a stuffy nose since I got pregnant. But now I have a cold. I got my flu shot friday so hopefully I won't get sick this season. I worked with little rug rats all day that cough and sneeze all over me all day, it will be a miracle if I don't get something. But, I'm worried this year, I don't want to be really sick while I'm pregnant, plus I can't take anything. Oh well, I guess I'll just hope for the best!
Knock on wood....my pregnancy has been awesome! I am feeling great, and enjoying every minute! I have only gained about two pounds and am all belly! I guess thats a plus of having a boy! My shower is going to be Jan 4th I think...we are trying to avoid the Xmas season since people are just so busy!
We have decided on the name Jackson. The middle name is up in the air.....but we are think Tucker after my great grandfather....he went by Tuck. Has anyone else decided on a name???? DH is very picky....so hopefully this one sticks. I wanted Jack Michael...but I guess I can't chose everything.
The nursery is coming along. All the furniture is together, we have the glider, and we are going to paint soon. I ordered a border that is on back order for 4 weeks! So we are slightly delayed. I wanted to have the nursery complete by Thanksgiving cause after that all hell breaks loose, and it will be January before I know it!

Hope everyone is well!

cwrj- I am glad that everything is going well. It was nice to hear from you!!! So if you guys are not finding out (I think that is so common these days) what colors/patterns are you going to do the nursery?

Neffi- Wow!! You sound like your glowing :D I am so envious that you guys are already working on the nursry and things are coming together for you guys. Sorry to hear about the cold :( I've been sucking down juice like its going out of style. This time of year I usually drink lots of tea, green tea, blk teas, but I am not doing caffeine so I was a little worries about not getting antioxients, so lots of juice it is.
What are you doing your nursery in? I check out Angram's and the pink and green is SO cute!!
I really like the name Jackson Tucker, especially Tuck.

I am starting to feel more and more movement at the very top of my uterus, which I think is her feet, but then there are days that she still curles up in a ball way down in my pelvis. I think I am starting to feel move kicks. Sometimes things are stronger than the "flutters". I am still getting BH on the weekends. I've been trying to consum lots of water and rest for 15 mins in between lots of chores.

Hope everyone is well and babies r growing!! Any upcoming events? I have my "big" u/s on Thurs. Getting nervous!!!

Dakota - I'm so happy to hear you're feeling her move, isn't it awesome!

Neffi - I love the name Jackson. I cannot believe you've only gained 2lbs, I'm far from that these days. I've gained 16lbs since my ET, but my OB says I'm right on target, so I hope so.

cwrj - I applaud you for holding out on the sex, we tried to do that but didn't succeed :) I hope things are going well with you.

We had our anatamy sono today and she was beautiful!! We received our 1st DVD and I cry just watching it. She's doing great and is in the 90% on the growth charts :) DH and I are both tall, so they're assuming she's the same. My uterus seems to be ahead of the game, as it has all along, and I'm measuring 24 weeks, although I'm just a little over 19. Guessing she needs all the room she can get :) I also went to see a dermatologist today and they've given me some sort of Rx cream for my rash. It's not PUPS, but it may be some viral infection. Nothing to worry about and nothing that can hurt the baby, but it's driving me nuts and itches like crazy. Other than that, I got to feel my first kick last night!! She's also kicked 3x since I started typing, so she's very active during the evenings.

Well I hope everyone is doing great and things are progressing well.

Hey Ladies!

Ang- wow 5 weeks ahead of schedule! Hope you go a little early. I have gain 2.4 lbs as of this week, but I am about 20 lbs overweight to begin with. I don't plan on gaining more than 20 lbs.....so we'll see how that goes.

Does anyone else have names picked out? I still think we are going with Jackson, but I just can't say 100%. Well I have just been loving this trimester! I feel like I have a little acrobat in my belly in the evenings. During the day he is pretty quiet, just some flutters here and there.

I can't believe it's the middle of October already! I can't wait for the election to get here and over with! Then as soon as Thanksgiving comes.....the year will just fly by! I am trying to plan all my Xmas stuff early this year so I don't have two things on my mind!

We started looking into daycare options. We have decided that we want a private small mom who watches kids in her home. I found one that sounds perfect, but she wont wait 6 months so I'll contact her again at the end of the year.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Angram- Golly girl!!! 5 weeks, your little one is going to come out longer than me :P I am only 5'2". I have a friend who is 6' and her husband is 6'4" and when she was pregnant she used to joke saying her son was going to come out taller than I and guess what....He was 24" long when born!!! I am glad all is well with your rash!! Your sono sounds awesome!!!

Neffi-2.4lbs wow!!!! I've gained 18lbs!!!! My goal was to only gain 20lbs total, you see that is working well for me. Jackson is a good name, I like it because its a traditional and not a fad name. We are going with Gracie Lynn.

I go tomorrow for my big scan. I am nervous!!! I hope everything is great!! I would love to get a DVD like Angram got so DH can see it. He wont be able to go with me because he is on call. Although my apt is at 4pm, she is usually very quite at that time so I dont think we'll see much action. She gets antsy in the morning before/during & after breakfast, then the same around lunch. Then after dinner I get a little show, but at night its party time. She'll have a few days a week were she doesnt do much at all, of course it scares me, but Dr says its normal for them to have lazy days just like us. I do find that those days I have more energy and the days she's jumpin jack flash I am drained.

I cant believe we are all half way there or more by now!!! I think with the holidays time is going to fly by in Nov and Dec. We have family comnig from Ohio and MI at Thanksgiving. We'll have 19 people staying at our house!!! DH is already cringing

I hope all is well with everyone and your little one(s) are growing and kicking up a storm!!!

Everyone sounds like they are doing just awesome. The names are wonderful. We currently have Ryan, Ethan, or Liam as front runners. Who knows what we'll end up with. I hope that rash clears up! I noticed some browner splotches on my skin near my hips where I sleep. I know spots are common, but never thought I'd see anything on my legs!

I get a lot of activity after meals, and ALWAYS at night. ALL night so much so I don't get a lot of sleep...this guy is going to get the prize for keeping us up, but babies get that prize anyways! DH now expects to place his hand and feel the flurry of activity each night, and our boy does not dissappoint!

It is really wild how time is going by. Did anybody else find out they were pregnant, and think "wow, the next 9+months is going to be an eternity." I can't believe that I'll be a mom in less than 18 wks!! We can't wait to meet him, but we just want everything to turn out happy and healthy. If he needs to stay in a little longer to relax and watch another Sunday football game before coming out into the cold, I don't think we'll complain :)

I think I've gained 15 lbs, halfway to where I should be for my height/weight at the end. Cross fingers!

Keep up the good work ladies!

Well hello everyone - It has been a long time since I have posted. Sorry about that. I donte even know where to begin to catch you all up. First I have read all the post and I smile everytime I read about each and everyone one of you. I know we are all so close.

Lets see work is busy... I am trying to make sure I have everything in order before I leave. I mean I have a while but still I dont want any lose ends. DH and I have been out of town to just getting last minute alone time in before the boys arrive. And last night DH finally got to feeel them move. It is soooo weird seeing my tummy move and poke out its like little aliens in there. They move so much now non stop. I love it!

The nursy in a work in progress but we are getting it done. I had my 1st baby shower over the weekend in northen CA. My MIL gave it for me and it was nice. Small and comfy. I got tons of clothes and such cute things. Its all so real now. We have an appt on the 23 and the perni again on the 27 but other then that things are great.

I am just nervous as the clock is ticking and I want to make sure everything is done and perfect before the time comes. I cant wait to hear from you all.

Stay well and happy

Hi Everyone,

Glad that you all are doing alright. Anyone heard from unexplained?

Pg to me still a VERY LONG process and I still throw up in the mornings if I happen to drink any milk at all, not even a little bit in the coffee! Other meals are not tasty either, but at least, I can eat almost regularly now. Never had food cravings. Today, went to have monthly check up and gained 11 lbs already, I really have no idea where the weight come from!

Like ftg, our boy is active at night also, but only when I change sleeping positions, he would move. I returned the Doppler two weeks ago, since I rarely use it anyways.

We have not had a name for him yet. Hope everyone continue to have good time in preparing baby rooms, buying baby gears, and thinking names...

Take care!

Wow, this is a busy Wednesday for posting on our thread! It's great to see how everyone is doing, and so nice to hear about you all feeling more movement and kicks. I've been feeling wriggles, but nothing consistent on a daily basis yet that I could put down to a busy time or not. I had a subway the other day though, and they must have liked it cos I got a lot of wriggles and flutters!!

I've put on about 10 lbs since my ET now, but seeing as I managed to lose 6 or so in the first trimester, that's coming on rapidly now.....hopefully it slows down a bit!

Dakota - good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow, can't wait to hear about it.
Angram - wow, that sounds great! So glad that your scan was great and it looks like she is going to be a long baby!!
I love all the names you are planning for bubs, we are going with Christopher Joseph, and for the I'm sure it's a girl - Amy Eva. (if she turns out to be a he, then we don't know yet!)

13 days to go till our 20 week scan. I can't wait!
Lots of happy healthy baby thoughts to all x
