Thanks for starting the list of June cyclers My Baby. I think we may need to give ourselves a name just as all others have in the past. If anyone has any ideas, please share.

tpiper55 We are doing our baseline stuff on the same day. How exciting.

I forgot who it was who said this but it is a great idea of having DH give a couple of the lupron shots so that he has some practice for the HCG.

hello again ladies, looks like everyone is doin well. as for me shots are still going well. tpiper55, my doc says that he wants me to take the time off cause i guess with the icsi and assisted hatching its supposed to reaise the chances but dont know i guess we will find out as for the mod swins im not sure if its from that or not i think i was just having a bad day hehe and as for everything else i hope all is well and i well keep in touch

Lupron Day 1 = DONE

. I think I did like a lot of you and held the needle in my hand battling with myself about the stick. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that I felt ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as the needle went in my leg. So, I've officially started

- This is gonna be a wild ride ladies

I'm off to KB class (I'd better enjoy it before these ovaries start growing) but I'll send out more personals in the morning

Hey Everyone...
I just started my donor cycle today and took my FIRST Lupron injection tonight. Which went better than I thought. Took some encouragement but I was able to finally do it

An hour later I looked at my stomach and there was a dark purple bruise slightly bigger than a quarter! Is this suppossed to happen????? please respond, because I'm a little worried.

Well done all you ladies already injecting! (nubbie - no idea about the bruising...maybe technique?) I just received my drugs from the courier...opened the kit and was both really excited and really nervous! That parcel could be the magic little box which gets us a little bundle of joy!!
I already feel like part of a "baby making gang" and genuinely wish us all lots of success!!!

nubbie - I get a patch of red splotchiness around the area where I do my injections and it hangs around for about an hour, but goes away. Did yours go away? One of the side effects of the lupron is irritation at the injection site, maybe this is what it is.

Hi everyone-
I am new to this site and new to IVF. I start my Lupron shots tomorrow-
June 6th. Stims should start somewhere around the 16th. Not too worried about the sub Q shots, but very afraid of the IM Progesterone in Oil to follow transfer. Would love to join the group!

Nubbie...maybe you hit a small blood vessel and that's what caused the bruise. Has it gotten any better?

Hello All...I hope it's okay that I join this thread. I'm in my 1st IVF cycle...I started lupron on Saturday...I was so scared to give myself a needle, but honestly it could have felt like a ton of rocks going into my skin and I would do it gladly case i want this so bad! Anyway as o my day 2 ycle I'e been taking estradiol cause I have high fsh....Saturday I started taking lupron and Monday I started on Bravelle and Menopur....I have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday and I'm just praying that my follies are growing! Is there anyone here that is having side effects or even feeling the medication working? I've heard stories or soreness and bloating but I haven't had either yet...even though I'm just on day 2 of the real meds.

Well I just want to wish everyone luk and introduce myself!

Thanks rockrat. I am also doing ICSI, but on all eggs. My RE said because I am 38, my eggs could have a harder "shell" and the ICSI should help. I am having my injection teach on Thursday, but start Lupron tomorrow, so the nurse is going to talk me through it over the phone. It doesn't look too scary, I hope!! Good luck to you out there in Marietta. I live in the Midtown area.

My last birth control pill is this Sunday, at which time I will have had 5 Lupron shots. I haven't taken BCPs in so long that I can't remember- will I get a period on Monday? Or does it take a few days to start? My protocol is:

Lupron 10 units, dropping down to 5 units during stims
Menopur 1 vial twice daily
Follistim 225 IU twice daily

Anyone else doing this protocol?

I'm wondering the same thing. I take my last bcp tomorrow night and I will have done 6 shots of lupron then. When will I get my period? My RE said call if I don't get my period after 14 DAYS after stopping bcp. Isn't that too late? Will my lining have time to build up again? I didn't really thinka bout it when the nurse first said it to me. Actually I'm going to call and ask right now. I start stims on 6/11 when I drop down to 5 units of lupron too. But my stims are a bit different. I have to do 2 vials of Bravelle and 1 vial of Menopur twice daily.

Jen...out of curiosity are you at one of the branches of ACRM? I've been going to them (in Woodstock) for the last couple years.
