Hi Ladies,

Hoping to join you ladies! This is my fourth attempt, I was cancelled twice. I have a new protocol this time and more monitoring so hopefully I can actually get to the retreival point. Not at the giving up point, so full speed ahead! My ESTIMATED retreival date is 12/13/07 and transfer is 12/16/07. But I am slow to stimulate so I know those dates are changing.

I am guilty of lurking but everyone seems so sweet and supportive, so I hope I made the cut  ! Happy turkey today to all.

Hello Ladies --

My name is Doreen and I get to start BC on 11/27 finally after being cancelled for 2 months because my blood levels were too low. Right now my protocol is as follows:

Start BC on 11/27. Taking them for 28 days since the clinics lab is closed around the holiday so they extended the BC to make sure the timing all works out.

Injection class and Mock transfer of 12/18/07.

I should start Lupron injections 12/22. Currently scheduled for ER on 1/9/08 and ET on 1/12 or 1/14/08. This is all new to me so I am excited, scared and nervous.

I have lurking out here for months now but just decided to chime in since I am now a part of the pack.

I know that you all are a wonderful group and I am looking forward to sharing the success.

Is there anyone out there that seem to be on almost the same same time schedule as me. Please let me know.

I'm hoping that once we get closer to ET and ER we can create a treat with everyone's name, testing dates and TWW info out there so we can keep track. It's sometimes hard to keep up when with everyone once the really stiff happens. We definately don't want to forget to wish someone well during the time's that they need it most because we forgot.

I'm glad to be here.
Me, 40 - DH, 47
IVF #1: POSITIVE - Michaela born 9/19/08
IVF #2: Consult on 10/13/09 - Start BCP Dec since clinic will be closed for the Holiday.

we have another one!!!!!!! hot-damn ---- 2 in one day, i don't know if i can contain myself!!! 8) 8)

HELLO and W*E*L*C*O*M*E Doreen!!!!!!! :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Well gee --- it sounds like I'll be cycling pretty darn close to same schedule as you!! I start my bcp's this sunday --- 11/25..... and they have me taking thru christmas eve......af should arrive w/in day or so of stopping bcp's at which time i go in for my baseline scan and probably starts stims w/in couple days of that w/ tentative er/et week of 1/7..... so YEAH FOR US!!

I've actually been thru one round back in august.....so please don't hesitate to ASK ANY QUESTIONS!!!! i'm far from knowing it all -- but there are some things that i'm just aware of cuz i have been thru once before.....like the mock transfer for example ---- PIECE OF CAKE --- compare it to an annual exam......and injection class --- ya learn a lot!! (least i did)....but of course my dh gave me EVERY SINGLE inject - so lucky me!! Anyway.....that is the amazing thing about these boards -- there is SO much knowledge and support out here --- LOVE IT!!!!

So I'm guessing you're here in the states based on your screen name of washington??? That being said ---- HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

gobble-gobble!!!!!

Hi everyone,
Pumma, Wish I had some advice to give you. I also have cyst and endo, but realy don`t know the ivf factors from one doctor to the next. I do know that this is the reason my DH and I went ivf instead of tubal reversal. My Doctor told us that ivf is our better choice, as well as my ivf Doctor said it could be worked with. I hope you get a brighter look on things soon.

esperaza, Thanks for the warm welcome. I as well as you are starting are first cycle. I wish us the best :P

ICS Girl, Thanks for your welcome. I`m glad to be apart of this board.

Tali, Thanks as well to you for your welcome. Glad to be here. I`ts nice to know we are all going threw this journey together.

Amy, Welcome
I just came to the board as well. Wish you the best in your journey..

I am still not sure on much. I know I have my egg retrieval is the week of Jan. 21st I start birth control on the 14th of Dec. Not sure when they said I start luprone. I have my mock transfer on Dec. 6th. I have already done the rest. :D

Hi All,

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Thankfully, we did not have to answer any questions from our relatives as we have not told anyone. I just could not deal with another "Relax it will happen" or "Your doing that again"....."How much does THAT cost???" ......one more of those and everyone will hear me screaming.....LOL.

I do want to ask if anyone has been on the follistim pen. I have always used bravelle and menopur but I gues they wanted to try something different. I mean, does this thing hurt and how does it work? My needle consult is not until next Friday but I would like to be prepared long before because I start the stimms after the needle consult.

Thanks Ladies!

hello everyone,

I hope you all had a good thanksgiving. We had a great time in Boston, we met with friends and family, and had lots/great food! I'm so glad we were able to take a break for a couple of days.

Pumma, I'm glad you're feeling better now. Keep your mind positive. I'm praying for you and sending positive/healing thoughts your way. I don't know if this will help, but I had a friend who got pregnant with cysts and all (shé's about to give birth), so hang in there. Please keep us posted about your process.

I hope everyone else is doing great. We are getting closer!

Hi.ladies
i'm new to the boards...my DH and i are due to have IVF/ICSI sometime in january...he is due for TESE on wednesday and is very very nervous,he is severely diabetic and so suffers from retrograde ejaculation....so far all my test results have been good..hormone levels...vaginal ultrasound to check my uterus, ovaries etc, have been on BC pill since nov.13 and due to start Buserelin injections end of December....feel LOST SCARED even ALONE sometimes...am actually VERY scared at the prospect of having to inject myself as i have always have an aversion to needles..but i am trying to stay positive....

Knowing that u are all here experiencing mostly the same emotions as i am makes it a little easier...am hoping that come '08 we will all have BFP to report.....
Oh forgot to mention i am from the caribbean...dont know if they do stuff a little differently here...we'll see.......until next post i will say a prayer for each and everyone of us on here...always wonder why is it that the ones who always seem as though they'd be great parents are almost always the ones who have trouble getting pregnant...

Welcome Laglenik! Happy to have you in this group :D

What part of the Caribbean are you from? I live in the US, but I am from the coast of Venezuela so I am from the Caribbean as well

Best wishes to your dh in his procedure. I'll be thinking of you two.

Hi ladies! wow - what a wonderfully active board! :D Happy to be a part of it! Welcome to: hello kitty, wunny, washingtonda, laglenik, keisha, doreen & everyone who has joined in over the last week!

Hello Kitty - I use the puregon pen - is that similar? - in my opinion, it is so easy, I wish all the injections were like that...you just insert the meds and "dial-up" the correct amt and give the shot - no mixing or changing needles from big to small ...and changing the cartridge is easy. Really an idiot-proof system. At least for the puregon pen, there are videos you can watch online that show you step-by-step how it works.
By the way, my estimated er is Dec.14 & et Dec.19 - so we are really close! what is the rest of your protocol like?

for the rest of you who are wondering  , the injections are in my opinion much easier than you think they will be! I can never even watch when they take blood from me, but I can give myself the shots and have had no problems so far. The needles for the injections that go under the skin are not very big and go in easily and relatively painlessly. I was surprised myself! give yourself a good pinch and voila -- The ones you might have to do later on that have to go deeper or into the muscle, I had DH do these - for one thing, it was hard to reach and for another, it got him involved. He was so good, I hardly felt a thing. But there are girls who do them all on their own and are just fine. The injection class was helpful for me and put my mind at ease. Best of luck to all of you!

Pumma - guess you are about a week or 10 days ahead of me...24 Dec. sounds like a great test date. Hope you'll get a wonderful gift of a BFP! I'll be testing around Jan. 1...so happy to new year's baby to us, I hope!!

ICSI girl - as for cycling during the holidays - what could be a better way to pass the 2ww than between christmas and new years - at least I hope the 2nd week will go quickly this way! -- actually, my last cycle was way back in July and I've been waiting ever since to start again, so I'm just excited to be able to try again before the year is out. My mother will be visiting us during that time, so she's happy to help us out and relieve me of the hustle and bustle of daily life. In the past, we haven't told a soul while we were cycling- but this time she is in on it and is quite happy to know what is going on before the fact, instead of just after...She doesn't ask a lot of probing questions, which I am thankful for.

esperanza - I do miss Boston -- a great town. glad to hear you had a delicious thanksgiving surrounded by friends! are you from bonaire by any chance? it is the only island off the coast of venezuela where I've been and just fell in love with the place...

to tali and colesmom - hope you both are well. with the holiday season fast approaching, your time to start cycling will be here before you know it! wishing you lots of luck!

baby dust and BFP's to all! Hello to anyone I might have missed!!:D
xx amy
