Hi December moms,
I haven't been logging in for a while. Cheryl, very nice to hear that your little baby is doing so well. Malaika, welcome to the forum.
We went in for an ultrasound on wednesday,we saw two little sacs and 2 tiny hearbeats. One baby measured 6wks and the other measured at 5 wks and 6 days, which would make me due around 12/24/08. My RE said its too early to count the rate, we would probably do that next week.
Good luck to everyone,
Rdoc.
I am nervous about joining a thread as I have had two miscarriages in the last 9 months and I don't want to tempt fate! I am 7 wks 5 days today and had a scan last week where we saw the heartbeat. Still not feeling at all reassured as my last MC was a missed at 12wks - I thought all was okay. Anyway I thought I would come on and have a worried whinge! I hope your all thriving and I look forward to getting to know you (if fingerscrossed all goes well!). Love Vicky

Hello ladies. Thanks for the encouragement. I reaaly wish i can just some real symptoms to elevate the worry. I am going for a Scan this weekend. this will be my first as the RE i consulted after coming back refused to do one after 2 weeks and insisited we wait for 4 weeks after the BFP. My due date if all goes well will be for 12/16/2008. I am wishing everyone luck in the journey and keeping my fingers crossed.
Rdoc- Congrats on a successful u/s. Let us know when you get to hear/see your 2 little heartbeats!
Malaika - Good luck with your first scan! Let us know how it goes. It's a shame they have made you wait soooo long...
Vicky - Don't be nervous about joining. We are here to support one another! I've had 2 chemicals and an ectopic since June of last year and I chose to believe this one is the one. It feels so much better as time goes by and you let go of the anxiety.
I had my first OB appt yesterday. Yeah! What a wonderful feeling it is to "graduate" to an OB and also not having the trans-vaginal U/S. The 2 babies that aren't going to make it are still there...OB thinks they will dissolve into my system by my next appt. Our one little bean that's doing well seems to be thriving. Great h/b and the OB saw a leg kicking around yesterday. Wow! My baby has legs! Yippie!!
Hope everyone else is doing great!

Cheryl I was thinking it has been a bit quiet as well. I certainly hope everyone is feeling well.
I am doing well. I had my last visit with the RE today. I was sad. I really like this Dr...The baby was moving it's arms and was very wiggly!!!! It was amazing. Heartrate was 182 bpm. I now see my new OB in 2 weeks as well have some genetic blood work and ultrasound that afternoon.
My belly is getting bigger. This has been my worst week for morning sickness etc. I have not been able to cook dinner as I can't look at raw meat. It's so weird..
Hello other December moms. I have been reading your messages the last several weeks and finally I am jumping in.
I have two children, age 4 and 6, and I am 9 weeks preg with twins. I suffered a miscarriage at 23 weeks (post IVF) last October, so this is our second attempt at IVF. I have really enjoyed reading all of your stories and look forward to this journey with all of you.
Sara
My name is Andrea and I have never joined a message board before but my BFF loved hers when she was expecting and I thought it would be good to chat with other people who have experienced IVF.
I am almost 10 weeks pregnant and we saw the heart beat at 7w2d. I also met with my OB at 8 weeks. I won't see him again until 13 weeks.
This was our second attempt at IVF with an early miscarriage after a FET last July. Although I feel good I'm still nervous as I'm sure all women are after a miscarriage.
My due date is December 8 and I am looking forward to getting to know you all better on this incredible journey.
I have a question. Has anyone had experience of one breast swelling more than the other? My right side is definately bigger than my left side - just wondered if this was anything to worry about. Love Vicky

Vicky - sorry, that's a new one to me. I would venture a guess that if they were not equal before they wouldn't be now. If they were, it wouldn't hurt to make a call to your nurse. I'm sure they answer a gazillion questions daily.
Andrea - Welcome!! You're due one day ahead of me. Yippie! I have my next OB at 12 weeks. I can't wait to see how much the baby has developed (and hoping he/she actually starts to look like a baby!)
Sara - Welcome! Congrats on your twins!
Would anyone like to volunteer to keep track of our board moms - when their next appt is - boy/girl - no of babies expected, etc.? I can't say that I would be that good at it. Maybe someone who can bring in those fun animations?
Hope everyone is doing well!

How is everyone feeling with the morning sickness and exhaustion?
My last two pregnancies I was so sick from 7 to 12 weeks. This time, I have had a few days of nausea, and a bit of tiredness, but in general, I dont feel THAT pregnant (which seems odd with twins?!). I have read other threads and there are some women who have not felt overly sick. I just think it is odd for me, since my last preg I have been SO sick.
Interested to see how you are all feeling physically.
And BTW, my jeans are not buttoning...already~!
Thank you for the welcome Cheryl. I dont know about you but I can't believe how fast the last 10 weeks have gone. I haven't gained any weight but my shape is definately changing. My next appt is June 4 and I hope to hear the heart beat on the doppler - then we can tell the world. Right now only clolse family and friends know and only becuase I had to go through the IVF journey. Otherwise I don't think we would have told anyone.
Sara - Congratulations on your twins!! I'm only having one baby but I haven't experienced any morning sickness or "classic" pregnancy symptoms. I often thought I'd feel better if I was ill every day but then last week one of the kids was sick (at school - I'm a teacher) and then I felt crappy all the next day. So, I have changed my mind about the sickness thing and am happy to be having a symptomless pregnancy so far.
Hi Sara - My daily routine had involved throwing up several times throughout the day since the end of week 6. Mine isn't the "classic" morning sickness - it's caused by indigestion. I start burping, then my food just comes up. I don't go anywhere without a bag to get sick in. At least my DH has a great sense of humor about me burping like a teenager. My OB gave me something that worked, but it makes me feel druggie and oh so tired. I just decided to tough it out. I also have been taking daily naps from being so tired, but the last 2 days I actually feel like I'm getting some energy back. Yeah!!!
Andrea - I know, I can't believe how quickly it's flying by. I sent my DH an email this morning from one of the sites that say how the baby will be developing in week 10 and I put a note saying, "Remember when our baby used to be a tadpole with a little tail?". ha! What fun times lie ahead!
Am I the only who's gained weight? I'm up 8-9 pounds (I wasn't overweight prior) - which is surprising considering that I've been sick daily. I've also gone up one size in my bra. Nothing fits...I squeezed into an outfit this morning and didn't feel preggers, just fat. Why can't I be one of those women who look so adorable because they only gain weight in their belly?? Hopefully I won't end up the size of a tanker truck...

Sorry I haven't written in awhile, it has been a hard few weeks for me. I had written previously that I had to take my mother to the hospital. Well, she had a pretty bad attach of pancreatitis. Well, after a week, they were talking of releasing her. On the morning of the day she thought she might be released, she suffered a massive stroke and passed away a week later. It has been very hard. She was my best friend, she lived with myself and my husband.
Needless to say, I was very worried about the baby. I had my last sonogram the day after the stroke, and the baby measured fine, heartbeat was great. It has been very hard, but we are making it through. I had my first OB appt Tuesday, and I have another sonogram next week. Hopefully, we will get to hear the heartbeat then. My OB said everything seems fine. They didn't even classify me as high risk... yet.
I will try to update more, and do personals later. Welcome to all the December Mommies to be!
