Hi Mally

I am sorry, thinking of you. I took a long break before this try and I came to terms with lots of things which helped me so much this time in how I felt about everything. You sound like you have a very strong faith to lean on to help you.

Take Care of you

Hi Lynniecat , certainly age is of essence, I am 32 years and i cannot boast of relaxing for long I may rest for six months or more and then try with the frozen embryos.

I however want to give some tea a chance, to be specific, fertili tea.

I understand it helps the uterus, to facilitate implantation, and also enables the maternal's hormones to accept the embryos.
My DH who is a Doctor himself, suspects that it may be a case of a restless uterus, as in both cases I bled on or around the time of my menses. I am therefore going to give this tea a try, continue with my Yoga and let see what will come up.

Anyway lynniecat, how far have you got to? Wishing you all the best.

Hi Sara30,

I am sure you know more than I do, that faith,is the only thread one can hung on for now.   .

If I look at your on experiences, if not for faith, you would nto have gone this far, to have a BFP. I wish you all the best and take it easy during this time. Congrats again, you certainly deserve it. Mally

IVF Long Protocol Update

Post by Sunshine1974 »

Mally I'm sorry this one didn't work out But I will tell you what a close friend of mine told me last time I was negative: Sometimes nothing is better than a possible issue later. Please keep us informed on your progress even if you take a break.

I went in for my 2nd appt this past Friday (Day 16 of cycle). My lining was 6.5, so they approved my starting my stimulation yesterday and start taking reduced lupron (from 10 - 5 units). The nurse said I can inject in the same area, which I did. Bad idea, this morning the site was discolored and tender. Starting tonight I'm injecting in 2 sites rather than the same site. I'm due back to the doc on Thursday (Day 22 of my cycle, Day 5 of stimulation)
mally wrote:Hello Sara30 and Hope33,

Thanks for your thouhgts, I did the test yesterday, and it was a BFN. :( :( :( .

As you all know the swings will be on for sometime, I however hope to take at least 6months break, before I try again the third time.

I am still around anyway, to encourage you all through your journey, because your successes, is what will give me a reason to try again.

Take Care and wishing us all the best. Mally

Wahaaaaaay!! Lynniecat way to go!! What fantastic news you must be feeling amazing right now, sooo pleased for you. When do you have the clinic check you for your beta? Will be keeping everything crossed for you. :D

Sunshine sending you lots of positive energy to your follies to grow, grow, grow.

Hope33 are you still with us?

Update, DH and I went for our scan today and we are in limbo, they could not see a heartbeat so we were sent over to the early pregnancy unit where they scanned us again. They too were unable to see a heartbeat but also said they felt the pregnancy sac was only between 5 and 6 weeks not 6 to 7 weeks so we have to go back in another weeks time. So either our little embryo implanted late or it has died and not yet miscarried. Have been searching the internet and of course have found lots of sites where it says the heartbeat sometimes can not be detected until 8 weeks so I am clinging on to hope. I can't believe we have finally got as far as achieveing a pregnancy for it all to be snatched away. They have said I will probably miscarry this week before I go back next week if our little one has not made it. I really thought we were off the IVF roller coaster this time, and luck was on our side. Sorry for the rant just feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment.

Take Care

Sara thank you. I'm black and blue all over. Been going to acupuncture twice a weeks too. I figure it can't hurt to try that too.

Hope this is it for you. I've also read that it can take 8 - 10 wks to detect a heartbeat sometimes because it depends on where it implanted. If it's too far from the monitor they have to wait til the teeny weeny beebee gets a little bigger. My prayers are with you sweety.

Hi Sunshine

Thanks for the info will hope for the best.

I did accupuncture a few years ago for my high FSH levels and it definately helped. It regulated my cycle better than any other treatment I tried so definately a good thing to do I think.

I went in for my Day 22 check up. It seems the Repronex is giving me a slight allergic reaction but the redness goes away within 2 days. The doc said if the redness spreads they'll need to switch me to something different. They only counted about 4 follicles, but they're all around 1.1 cm so I'm still hopeful there will be more. I'm due back again on Saturday, which mean I'll be back again Sunday or Monday and my HCG will probably be around that time. I'm hoping the retrieval will be later than Tuesday because that's the day of our group holiday party.

Fingers crossed. I truly hope this will be it for me. It's hard to do this as a single woman.

Sunshine--

Sorry about the allergic reaction, I had some itching with ganerelix. Even with only 4 follies, if they are all a nice tight group, you are in good shape. I had that on my last IVF and was delighted. Remember, some people can have a lot of follies, but they are not clustered enough. I think a tight bundle of 4 is very good, plus hopefully some more coming a long in a day or two.

Lee (why is your nick-name Sara?) I keep confusing myself LOL! SOrry its hard to see the heartbeat. I hope it shows up really soon. Its so early and things can change dramatically at this point. Funny how this IVF drama goes on and on and on! I am sending hearbeat vibes your way.

So for me, news is a little iffy --

14 DPO beta was 34
16 DPO beta was 96

I go back on Monday for my next beta. I really hope to see a rise. My doctor says I am running low right now, but the rise was good.

Hi Guys, so sorry i was MIA..... Seems a lot has gone by in a week's time. With IVF 1 week is like a year- things go up and down so quickly....

MAlly - I am so sorry that it didn't work out for you this time but i think a good rest and getting back on the horse will be what you need since your BFP is waiting for you in your future try. <<<HUGS>>>>

Sara30- hang in there, i am praying for your little beanie to grow and thrive and keep things positive for you. Monday must seem so far away but at least you can take comfort that you are still pregant and that your little beanie will grow on its own time..... Keep us posted

Lynniecat- sorry i missed the posting of your BFp when it first happend, wishing you lots of growing vibes too, Hope you beta number gets up to where it needs to be.. keep the faith though since you are still pregnant.... take it easy this weekend.

sunshine- hope your follies grow grow grow and your reaction to meds subside.... when is your ER scheduled for?

Ok so to fill you all in on my crazy life- My computer broke down and my dh had to perform open heart surgery on it to get it working again and thank goodness he fixed it! Then an uncle of mine passed away and on top of all that my little guy DS got this really really bad stomach virus from school which wiped him totally out for 6 whole full days! Of course i was freaking out cause that is the last thing i need to happen to me. But thank goodness for now he is better and no sign of me getting the virus so keeping my fingers crossed.....
I went to the RE last wednesday and my lining had increased to 9 1/2 the estridiol cream i am putting on my arm 2x a day seem to be working better than the pills but i am still doing both. I went backagain for another lining check this past wednesday and my lining is FINALLY! a 12.4 so the FET is scheduled for Monday morning 8:30am. I started endomitrium supp today 100mg 3 times a day and the steriod10mgs 2 x a day .

Seems like this thread needs a lot of prayers and support, we need to stick together and help each other through this now more than ever. Sending postive vibes to each and everyone of you!
