kollegeqtee, I'm so terribly sorry to hear this. I'm about to do my firts FET in about 2 weeks, with one previous try using fresh.
It's great that you have another try scheduled and I think it might help me to schedule another try even before I do this transfer. I don't want to count on it, it makes it harder to recover.
Eeeek. We have got to start getting some BFP's on this thread!

The time before the transfer when you start getting the PIO shots is sort of exciting. It was very exciting the first time, but now I'm trying to tell myself that I am strong enough to do this several more times. The whole process is pretty rough, but I'm very grateful that I decided to do this before I really got too old.
Tomorrow is my ultra sound and my first estradiol test.
My sister says that my frame of mind won't affect the outcome, but I don't believe that. I'm trying to get excited about the possible positive, but also not to count on it.
I was way too devastated last Jan 1, and by the way, Jan 1 is not a good date to go for your blood test.
Hello all... I just have to share my good news. I am 7dp6dt, and I POAS this morning and got a positive. It was a faint line, but definitely there. I had actually POAS Sunday morning as well at only 6dp, and got a very faint line (actaully had to call my DH in to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me), so today's was much darker comparitively speaking. I go for my beta on Wednesday, 4/22, so I am very excited. Cautiously optimistic may be a better description. My DH and I will be stopping by the store on the way home today to pick up a couple of more HPT's to hopefully watch the line get darker.

baylorbear33 thats sounds like a good news. Keep positive thoughts and hope for the best. I am praying for you all. Will post a quick status update for all very soon.
I just got back from an ultra sound. I get the estradiol injection tonight. I remember from last December when we went in for this appt that they were packed with people and it was the time where they are teaching the husbands to give the shots......
But do they have to be so gruff?
My doctor was much nicer the last time. He was not only tense but very short. The nurse was sweet as usual.
I've seen others around the boards mention that they are just a number and that the care doesn't feel as good as it should be. I hate to sound whiny, but I have a major change in my protocol this time and I brought my husband in to ask about it, the docter looked annoyed, and said we will discuss it on the ultra sound appointment on the 28th.
I've asked VERY little throughout all of this, and I realize there may be a few more tries to go, but I think more information is needed.
Why do normal medical offices seem so much more on top of things and more caring?
I do like my RE and I do have faith in him, but he acted like I was challenging his authority.
On the other hand, I may just be really sensitive right now. I know I'm getting very restless.
Hi Ally333 , I can understand your situation. Sometimes doctors have their lips zipped for no reason. They dont want to share enough information for no reason. I would be mad too if i am paying all these $$ and they dont have few minutes to spend with us explaining what their strategy is for the protocal etc.
Next time you should make him wait and ask all the questions you have. Flood him with all the questions you have and the doctor has the obligation to answer all the questions.
Its normal to get emotional during this period , just dont loose hope and try to think on the bright side. Good this that your lining is on schedule.
I guess I'll get my answers next week. Starting the shots always helps, because we feel like we're actively doing something to get there.
How is everyone doing?
Does everyone's husband or partner just take to giving the shots? Mine was scared at first but he's great at it now. I would think some people would just be freaked out. Like me, if I had to give them. I have to do the stomach shots myself, but the intramuscular ones are more scary.
baylorbear that is great news! I thnking BFP for you today! Good Luck! ANXIOUSLY awaiting your results...
Ally-I think I have said it before I will say it again. I went to my first RE cuz she was a woman and I thought she would be more "in tune" with the struggles of IVF. After nearly $20,000 and 3 failed attempts, including OHSS, I finally decided to change. One of the main reasons I also didn't want to change was cuz I thought "she really knows my body after all these attempts, I don't want to have to start from scratch" Changing RE's was the BEST decision i ever made. It is the reason I have my beautiful DD. The new RE is a man and SO MUCH MORE in tune with his patients. Every time I see him he gives me a hug and a kiss (on the cheek). When my DD was born early at 26 weeks, he came to see us in the NICU. If you don't like the RE, look for someone else! You have to feel confident that your money is worth it!
Tomorrow is my last US before transfer. I start Prog shots Sat! I agree, once that shots starts is when it gets EXCITING! My Dh gave me all my shots, I tried once in the tummy and I messed it up:(

Thanks, rikirees, I appreciate the input. I'm going to keep that in mind.
I think we are all so strong for going through this!
Even my sister is being insensitive and seems to have no idea what it's like for me. She has a new baby, so I guess that makes it hard for me to relate to her good fortune as well. It seems like friends are so much more supportive than family right now (except for DH, who is great.)
Hello ladies... I got confirmation of my BFP today. My first beta at 9dp6dt was 85. RE's office said this was a great number, especially for a FET cycle. For some reason in FET cycles, the betas tend to rise slower. I go back in again for my second beta on Friday. Here's to hoping that number doubles over the next 48 hours like it is supposed to.
