Hi everyone,

First of all, sorry for being such a misery yesterday and thanks for all your support., Your well wishes must have worked coz today we heard that there were 2 good grade blastocysts ready for ET. I was so relieved. So hopefully they are settling in nicely in their new home ready for a looooonnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg sleep.

So now with the push out in transfer the earliest that I can test is Christmas Day :?

Dolly,
Hope everything went well today with EC and that you're taking it easy.

Lindy,
Best of luck to you for testing tomorrow, I have everything crossed. Lots and lots of PMA to you.

Wendy
Good luck with the double injections,

Alette,
Thanks for your PM. A puppy is a great idea will definitely keep you distracted and smiling for the next 10 days.

Hugs everyone

Hi Guys,

Thank you all for your good luck messages, it has helped me to try and stay positive. I've continued to have lots of nightmares and even woken up several times with pains. But, having been used to Endo pain I'm still not confident about it all.

My last restless night of sleep before test day tomorrow.

Edi - I'm really pleased that you finally had 2 blastocysts transferred. It must have been so stressful for you. Maybe the delay in the actual transfer will have allowed your body to recover and the chances of success should better as your body would have healed itself more. I'm sure they are settling in nicely now. Time for you to rest-up and look after yourself. If Xmas day is your due test date presumably you'll have to wait until after Boxing Day, or will you be tempted to use your own kit?

Dolly - I hope that your EC went well today and your not feeeling in too much discomfort.

Wendy - I know that the injections aren't pleasant but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end.

Alette - I'm really jealous of you having a puppy. My DH says he allergic to them, so no chance of us having any other than the stuffed kind. I'm sure your puppy's giving you lots of love and attention, and probably wrecking the house as well.

Take care of yourselves!

My test results are unclear, so I have to have another one in 5 days
being Monday 20th.

My test detected very low levels, not enough for a positive but not a negativeas yet, which could mean one of two things.

Firstly, it could be that it embedded late and therefore the levels should increase by next Monday. :)

or it could mean that it's on it's way out, so the levels will remain the same :(

Looking on the positive side it's not an outright no, and as my DH says I've always been a late developer, so there is still a chance for now. I don't think that anything could have prepared us for this result.

Another 5 days seems like a long time, but it could make all the difference!! More fingers crossed for now.

Do you know of anyone who may have been in a similar situation to me?

Hope your putting your feet up!!

That's a YES to the Puppie!!

Although, I'll have to settle for biting my nails, and hibernating under the duvet watching day-time TV, yawn! yawn!

You must be at the end of 1WW, so you're catching up with me now.

Thanks for the offer!!

Hi Toni,

I'm really pleased you joined our thread. I'm hoping that you will bring us lots of luck as well as words of wisdom.

At a rough guess, I think this is where the December gang is on test dates

Orla - 17 Dec
Suz - 18 Dec
Lindy - 20 Dec
Alette - 22 Dec
Edi - 25 Dec

Humblest apologies if I forgot anyone or if I got any of the dates wrong.

Dolly - We haven't heard from you, hope everything went OK with EC and that you just don't have access to a computer at the moment.

Orla - Only 2 more sleeps. We'll be looking to you to set us off on a really positive note.

Lindy - Hang in there. I know Monday must seem like a lifetime when you were all geared up for today. I have been promoting the book the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown as a great way to escape the boredom and the endless wait.

As I'm nearly finished that book anyone else got any recomendations on a good read for a 2wwer?

Big hugs and luck to everyone,

Edi

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all keeping well? It's been very quiet, must be the Christmas rush.

I've just finished my first week of 2ww and it's not getting any easier. In fact it's getting worse. I can hardly believe that ony a week has gone by it feels more like a month. I'm getting more paranoid and more nervous. Every time I get a twinge (usually a stomach gurgle) I think something's happening and the next moment when I can't feel anything I think something worse has happened. Thankfully dh is being very suportive and is taking in his stride the lurching between happy smiley face to floods of tears.

How is everyone else doing?

hugs,
Edi

Hi Edi,

I sympathise with how your feeling, it's now been 17 days since my ET and tomorrow I'll be making my way back over to Cambridge for a second blood test ready for the afternoon results. My dh has decided to go to work as he can't stand the stress of it all. It's probably for the best as he makes me even more nervous.

In the first week I had pains and my breasts were tender. This week the pains are much less and I have no breast pain or discomfort, so like you I don't know what to think. I am reasonably hopeful, but I always have doubts and don't want to get my hopes up. I'm still having nightmares, and the other night in my nightmare I was being chased and I shouted out Mum!! in my sleep and woke up my dh. I don't recall ever shouting in my sleep before but I obviously was crying for help.

I'm trying to keep busy preparing for a job interview on Tuesday, but I can't seem to concentrate so I had a look at the boards to see who was there. As you say I think everyone is occupied with the Xmas rush now, so very quiet at the moment.

Try to keep yourself busy, take care of yourself and try not to worry too much as negative thoughts won't help as my dh keeps telling me.

More fingers crossed.

Lots of hugs

Lindy
