Hello All,
Congrats to you ultimatemama. Bet you are over the moon. Just make sure you spread that babydust around.
I too am already bored stupid and I'm not even a week into my 2ww. My mum and Dad have been round for most of the day today as my dad was doing lots of work in my garden. I'm on strict instructions from DH and my Mum not to do ANYTHING. I know that lots of you carry on as normal but this is my last attempt and I really don't want to leave anything to chance. Tomorrow I have a presentation to write for an interview I have on Thursday - yes I know its a silly time to change jobs but mine is a bit unpredictable (may get made redundant soon anyway). At least it will keep me occupied for a couple of days.
Take care all.

Love

Anticipation is Making Me Wait!

Post by wantarugrat »

Ladies, I've been directed to this thread (thanks Little P). I had my transfer (3 pretty embrios by a 26 year old egg donor via assisted hatching/IVF) on Thurs. Aug. 4 in the U.S. Anyone else with IVF/AH?

I'm just relaxing around the house during this process trying to stay positive while "feeling myself up" every couple of hours to see if any tenderness is occuring (good thing I'm not at the office!). Growing agitated by lack of symptoms although it's only been five days since transfer. I test on Monday Aug. 15th. Any of you girlies experiencing any symptoms early on? I am even, if you can believe it, looking forward to a good vomit (not to turn your own stomachs or anything)!

FYI: For those of you who had your transfer on or around Aug 4 - did you know it was a "new moon" in the lunar cycle and that means a time of rebirth, growth and new beginnings? While I'm not much of an astronomer I seem to be uncovering any and all information that may serve to bring positive vibes - and sharing them with you.

Glad to have a forum to vent/rant my continued feelings of hope and dissapointment (often at the same time!)

Good Luck to us all!

Everyone- Thank you for your kind words and support. I feel so blessed and I hope to share my lucky baby dust with ALL of you!

I am really relieved to simple KNOW a +ve or -ve. I was stressing about it so much it was difficult to think of much else. As you can see from my profile I already have a house full of beautiful children and yet I feel so blessed to get the chance to have another.

I am trying to eat healthy. I am still working out and continue to lift my youngest (22 pounds). I've given up the vacuuming and my oldest children are such a help with other odds things about the house...like tub and toilet scrubbing!!!

As I am only 4 weeks pregnant at this point I realize there is a long road ahead and praying for a healthier pregnancy this time around. Last time I lost a twin during my pregnancy, was on bedrest for three weeks. Additionally, I ended up delivering my son 10 weeks early and he was in the NICU for 5 weeks. What a growing experience! Adoption was much less painful.

:D

This time I pray I and the baby/babies will be healthier throughout my pregnancy. Positive thoughts bring positive outcomes.

Again, thank you for your support and I will keep all of you 2ww-ers in my thoughts and prayers.

thanks Smita. I hope your right about testeing early.

kagome don't test early trust me. It can be a big downer if you get a negative. I was all happy and positive until I took the test but now I am worried. It is better to wait and hear the true result. Take care all of you. My test is tommorow. All of you on your 2ww, trust me you will make it. It may seem to take a year but before you know it your turn will come. best of luck.

Hello All,
Feeling a bit down today - I know this is just how things go but it doesn't help much. Fortunately I'm going to keep myself busy today writing a presentation for an interview tomorrow so that should help to take my mind off things for a while.
It was interesting to read the post about the new moon - thanks Wanda. I had my EC on 3rd and ET on 5th - do you think that is close enough. I guess the two embies I have may well have fertilized on 4th!! Hoping this is a good omen for me.
I haven't got any symptoms of anything - but I guess that's normal at this stage. I don't normally get any PMT or af symptoms unil af shows up so nothing to go on.
Although my test date is 19th it is really 17th that I will be holding my breath for. That is the day af showed up on my last 2 IVF's so if I get to the night of next Wednesday without any bleeding I'll be really hopeful - only another week to go before then!!!!!!
Trying to remain calm but not managing it very well.
Take care all - hope you are all doing better than me!!!!!

Love

Hello Ladies!!

Since my ET on Monday, i've been pretty much resting in bed (doctor's orders) and had my DH and parents fussing over me..... :D ... They're making sure i'm eating all the right food...(you should know that being a chocolate junkie, i can survive on only that for days.... )

My doctor had implanted 3 "excellent" embies into me as planned, and just prior to the ET, she said there was a high chance of me getting TRIPLETS :o , as the embies are of high grade...... :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks, girls, for your emotional support!
My updates coming soon.

Love,
SoreBoobies Chanteq

The 2ww is officially by far the WORST part of the treatment I think, 2 weeks seem like 2 months and symptoms or lack of them can set your mind whirling.

Remember this: some women have no symptoms and get a BFP, some have every symptom of AF and get a BFP. It's just mother nature testing our resolve!!! Take each day as it comes and keep saying to yourself "I AM pregnant, this IS working", visualise your embies settling down and implanting. I haven't got a clue if this actually ever helps but it does help focus your mind.

Chanteq

Great news re: the 3 embies - take care of yourself and your potential triplets

Nicki

Good luck with your 2ww!!

I think that this 2ww will be better, as Ive been though one already, I am going back to work on Monday so that will keep my mind active, also have a interview on friday so really just have tomorrow to myself and my thoughts. Like this afternoon. Alone in this house and just day dreaming!!! It makes you insane.

This evening once dh is back I will slob on sofa watching telly. Anyone know if theres anything good on the box tonight??? Apparently there's an eviction in the bb house? Is that true?

I'm sorry I don't watch bb, but the second part of Silent Witness is on if you watched the beginning on Monday.

I love it - I always wanted to be a pathologist/forensic scientist

Hope that all you 2wwers are ok - we're all praying for you.

Big hugs to all
