HELP....still absolutely NO sign of AF :( Don't even feel PMTish

So am supposed to start progesterone tabs tomorrow. Has anyone else done this and started a short protocol? Will the progesterone help or hinder the process? Should I just wait and wait and wait for nature to take it's course?
Half of me thinks to wait, the other half to take the meds and get going aarrrgghh ...very confused :? :? :?

anna

sorry that AF is being such a real pain.
afraid i can't help you on whether the progesterone will help or hinder as i've never taken it but i can tell you that the short protocol is great. like you i didn't respond well to the normal protocol, i only had one follie. this time round it looks like i've 6 or 7 so that's a fantastic improvement. even more so when you think i've only one ovary and in any case in italy you can't make any frosties so i hope they'll be more than enough.

good luck with the tabs but hopefully AF will make an appearance before you tomorrow. i'll be jigging extra for you Image Image Image

well done heather.

take care everyone and happy christmas.

Anna,

Been off-line for a few days. What a shame AF still hasn't arrived! Regarding the progesterone, are you taking it for 10 days then expecting AF to arrive almost immediately? That's what I did a couple of years ago (no side effects) and it worked. Regarding the worry about having it directly before IVF, the whole procedure is chemically induced anyway so I personally wouldn't worry about. I imagine you are just relieved to be sorting it out now. Aren't our bodies real pains in the backside?

The short protocol - what does that entail? I have only ever had long protocol.

Best of luck!

Sophie x

Wow, I am one day late, but thats not un-usual, so wont get excited yet, I am sure I am not going to be blessed with a natural pregnancy.

Hi ladies, hope everyone is OK and had a relaxing xmas.

Sophie, thanks for your jig. Was given 20mg of progesterone tabs to take for 5 days, so will be taking last one tonight. Last time I did this I took 10mg for 10 days and it still took a further 10 days after I stopped taking them! I just need to be patient.... aaarrrggghhhh, how many times do we have to wait during this process

The short protocol means that you do not down reg on day 21. You start stimming on day 3. I'm not as sure about the protocol as I am the long one. Will go for blood tests and it will all be explained properly on day 1...whenever that may be!

Nicki, how are you. Has AF behaved herself?
Hello to Rachel, MLG, Heather and other lovely jigging ladies. Hope all OK

Wow , that was a fab jig !!!! Hoping it will work. Do I get the prize for the longest wait??? Now on day 51!!!!!!
Have tried all ideas known to mankind eg jiggy with dh, wearing my loveliest most expensive white undies and going away for a few days with no tampax!!! All to no avail.
Have finished progesterone tabs and hoping they will kick start things in a few days...but not while the clinic is closed over the new year. That would be just my luck

Here's a jig for other ladies in waiting
