K-rose, it really depends on the individual circumstances as to which day they do the transfer on. On Thursday morning, they will call us and tell us on which day they will be doing the transfer for us(Thurs. or Sat.). Don’t worry about not having symptoms, because it could have happened when you were sleeping :) Three more days, how wonderful! I know that when I am waiting I will try to see what I feel too! It is just my personality. I will pray for you [HUG]

Sorry I have been out of the loop for a bit. Too much going on in my day to day life!

Alicia ~ I have an ob/gyn at Kaiser - Dr Caroline Odell. I really like her. I also know of another great OB at Kaiser in Rancho if you have Kaiser. Dr Heather Beatty is my ob through Sutter. I try to work both systems to my advantage.. ie appointment times, etc. Where are you looking to go?

Kelly ~ Congratulations on the transfer. I don't envy you in the waiting game. So hard not to analyze every feeling and movement. I just think you have to wait and have some optimism. I too had never heard of assisted hatching on embryos that old. I hope that is the ticket to your success. Are they going to give you the results after the first blood draw?? I will be checking in to see!

Denise ~ Great work on all those embryos. That is quite a few! Did you do the transfer today?? How are you doing with the progesterone injections. Those are always a good time. I got pretty good at giving those... You are brave to let your DH help. I always did all mine myself as I couldn't stand the unknown of when he would stick me. I am pretty much a control freak in all sense of the word!

Hope all of you are well and I will be checking this hourly now to see your progress. I have to live vicariously through all of you for now. Although I did manage to sell a few things on ebay so I am getting some money banked for the next one!

Amy, thanks for the message. We did not do the transfer today, it will either be Saturday or later we are down to 13 so we shall see... I am in so much pain right now that it may just make sense to wait. My abdomen is streched beyond what I am accustomed to. Tomorrow when I wake up, I will have to report to the Dr and tell him how I feel.

I am such a whimp about giving myself shots that although my DH did not want to (he is squemish) I made him do it anyway. So in that way I did not let him slide, lol.

I love selling things on Ebay! It is almost as exciting as buying things. I hope all goes well for you!

Did Dr Z explain that once the retrieval has occurred all those follicles fill with fluid? That is most likely what you are experiencing right now. It does go away, but it is rather uncomfortable. If you don't feel like your body is ready than I would listen though. It is so hard to differentiate between the meds and the stress. They both do crazy things to your body. Just rest and drink lots of water to help flush away and think good thoughts. How many are you going to transfer??

He did explain that, but OMG, I feel like a doll that pees when you sit her upright. Surprisingly, I am trying to pretend that I am not stressed out and most days I am able to fake it well. I appreciate the advice, I do need to drink more fluids, I may have gotten a little dehydrated today. When we do the transfer, we will be putting 2 back, when I mentioned that I may want to do three he said that he would not feel right putting that many back. There are just too many risks with multiples and especially with my condition (vasovagal syndrome), having multiples could put me at an even greater risk for complications.

I am hopeful that the transfer will go smoothly with no strange occurances, but realistically, I will probably be on a few days of bed rest after the procedure.

Denise,
I had the same thing being so bloated. I was told to drink lots of fluid but also to drink 2-3 Whey protein powder drinks a day. The protein is supposed to help with the symptoms also. I got it at a vitamin store.

Amy,
They freeze my first sample and then run it at the same time as today's sample. I go in at 10am this am. I wasn't going to take a pregnancy test today (I always do), but I found one last one in my cabinet and caved in. I'm pretty sure there was a faint line!!!!!! I'm really nervous though because I don't want to get my hopes up. i"m not telling my husband. Wednesday night I had some bleeding and a small amount of spotting yesterday morning. It worried me as if it's implantation bleeding, it seems like it would be late. So, I was really surpised when I did (hopefully) see the faint line because if it just implanted Wednesday night I wouldn't think it would show up yet on a test??? They don't usually call until 3:30 or 4pm, but with Northern California you can look up your labs on their website and they usually post around 2 or 2:30. I always cheat and know the results before they call!!!

I'll keep you posted.

KELLY!!!! That is so exciting!! I think that if you saw ANYTHING on one of those it has to be good. I never see a thing - especially if you just implanted Tuesday or Wednesday. I love that they post the results on their website. That is such a great idea. I am going to refer that to Davis - I could even tell them that my husband the web designer could do it for a discount ;). I can't wait to hear. I have to see some students this afternoon but I will be checking back here at 3!!

All the BEST!

K-rose, I will look for the whey (powdered) drinks. I think the faint line is a great sign!!! I have done hundreds of HPT and NONE of them had anything, so how wonderful for you!!! Dr. Z prescribed darvocet and I am almost 100% after only taking 1 last night, that is a wonderful med. I do not like taking pain medicines, but it was well worth it!

Amy, I will also recommend it and maybe because there are several people saying the same thing, they will do it. The website is a little out dated, there is info about a seminar that happened last year or something... But I would rather them spend the website time on us. There are too many compnies with stellar websites but when it comes down to it there is really no substance behind them. But the test results being online would be great and another way for me to express my obsession with this whole process, lol.

Well, they called me at like 1pm!!! I was hoping that was a good sign. My numbers were 87.5 and 246!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I implanted before Wednesday (LOL). Man, I am still in disbelief. I was pretty sure I was pregnant as of this am with the faint line but was worried about my numbers being low. I have another bloodtest Feb 5th. I'll keep you posted.

Kelly~
I am SO EXCITED for you!! That is amazing. Great numbers too. Definitely positive. So no more until the 5th?? At least this time you have positive things to think about during the wait. That is so exciting. You and Alicia should have very close due dates. You should arrange some play dates for the fall! How is your husband taking the news?? He must be ecstatic. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the good news!

Denise~

You should remind Dr Z of how much you appreciate his time spent away from his website, but that you know this guy (Amy's Husband) who does all the websites for Sutter Medical Group and he would love to do yours... for a discount of course. I would love to take my obsession to the web and check endlessly for results! Glad to hear you are feeling better. The drugs sometimes help.

Have a great weekend!

Amy, LMAO, I will have to say it in just that way tomorrow! When my husband is ready to rebuild his company's site, I will have to get a bid from your husband. Can you send me his company info and contact info?

Thanks!

Amy, I mentioned the website and your husband to Dr. Zeringue, just as I said I would and he agreed it was a little outdated.

We transferred the two amd I feel great!!! I am in zero pain and I did not feel any when they did the transfer... I swear the power of positive thinking is great! We do our first beta on Feb. 5th!!! (And I am expecting twins!!!)

Denise,
Glad everything went well. I have never had any pain with the transfers. I got to tell you though, I took Valium and actually fell asleep while waiting the 15minutes to lay there afterwards and was pretty much sleeping during acupuncture afterwards. Maybe that helped, although I did take valium the other times. Goodluck. Do they have you do bedrest at your clinic, and for how long?

Kelly ~ I am still so excited that it all worked out for you. Your numbers look great. I hadn't heard of the valium method before. Sounds like a good idea if you ask me. Knock yourself out so you can stop over analyzing for a few hours. I am not sure that Dr. Zeringue does valium. I will have to ask him if I can ever get back there. I am running low on things to sell! Feels like I will never save up that much. Should definitely stop the trips to Target and Costco. That would probably help. Have a great relaxing weekend and keep your feet up. You should milk it as long as you can. You deserve it!

Denise ~ Sounds like everything went well. The transfer is always painless and the easiest part of the whole thing. Kind of anticlimactic if you ask me. You poke and prod and run from appointment to appointment all to lay there for a few minutes with a tiny catheter that is over in minutes. Well rest and enjoy your two week wait. I can't wait to hear about your results!
