Okay, so I’ve been gone from work for about two hours so can’t stay for too long.

I AM PREGNANT! I was in shock and shaking and in tears! I gave him a big fat hug!! I can’t believe I got a BFP! I can and I can’t. I’ll get into more of that later. It has to do with the positive thinking and being realistic and all that stuff. I am still in shock and a little worried. I went out and bought a HPT to take again later so that I can see it for myself. Yeah, I know I’m ass backwards. I’m the idiot that does a HPT after….I get a BFP from the doctor. The line on the test that I took at drs office was light. I asked about that and he said well you are just pregnant. It’s very early. I will get my HCG numbers tomorrow. That’s what I really want! I pray that’s a high number! I also asked him about these damn cramps I am still having. He said he has heard of other pregnant women who said that they feel like their AF is about to come. I don’t think I’ll be able to relax until that feeling goes away. Now that there is a baby in there…I need him, or her or them to stay in there! I was worried going over potholes. This is going to be interesting. lol

So I was trying to decide how to tell DH. Wait until I get home. Yeah right. Like I could hold it that long. But I didn’t want to tell him over the phone. So I called him and he was at lunch with a coworker. I told him that I was crying and nervous and needed a hug from him. I could tell on the phone he was bothered by that. lol He asked if I got the results and I said no, not until this afternoon when the dr calls. So I got directions to where he was. He was in the parking lot when I got there. He gets in my car and he says…so, what’s up. I just started smiling and told him he was going to be a daddy. I think he is still in shock. All he could do was smile and say…OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

I’ll be back to post more later. Have to act like I’m working since I took a two hour lunch.

  Yyiipppeeeeeee fab news for our thread

Wannababyivf, congratulations thats brilliant news and i'm with Shantala you brought tears to my eyes, think we all hope to tell our dh the good news like that one day soon. Enjoy every minute

Carolyn - Hows your embies doing, hoping they are all fighters and are fertilized beautifully

Steph - 3 INJECTIONS A DAY--OMG, i can't even bare 1. Why do you need so many? My scan is on Friday 9th to see how my follies are growing.

Angie - How was the scan, hope everything went well??

Wisconsingal - Hang in ther girl, we are all praying for you

Hi to everyone else as always.

So i started my nasal spray today and the injections are tomorrow. I am a little worried and scared about them this time as there is so much fluid to go in---ouch---i just know its going to sting  oh i am such a wimp, wish i could just get preggers the normal way----us ivf babes SO deserve a wee bundle of joy

Think we should maybe start a little list to keep us on track, what do you all think. I can start a few then we can update our own as we get new dates for scans, EC, ET and BFP's etc

Jen - Stimming 2nd, Scan Fri 9th
Carolyn - ET ?
Steph - Stimming 2nd, Scan 7th
Wannababyivf - BFP

Will catch up with you all tomorrow

Love Jen x

Wannababyivf - WOW. I was in tears having read of your trip to go and see your dh. I am so very pleased for you. How fantastic. You go girl. I am so happy for you. Enjoy every moment as Jen says. Hope that you & dh have the most fantastic date this evening

Angie - so hope that your scan in a few hours will bring you good news of your follies and that you'll be able to trigger soon. Shantala and I need good company on the 2ww

Mominwaiting - sorry cannot help with those meds but sure that other ladies might be able to help you out. Hope that you are looking after yourself well

Jen1d - just a week now until your scan. Hope that your follies are going to behave nicely! You'll be fine with the meds. I find that the volume matters less - just take it really nice and slowly girl. List is a great idea as I am loosing track of everyone - must be the drugs!!

Wisconsingal - praying that the little un will stay where it belong for you

Steph - I thought 2 shots a day was bad but 3!!! That is just plain greedy  Hope that you are feeling ok

Hugs to everyone else

Rachel - Shantala - Aunty - Reach - Laura - Em - thanks to you all for keeping tabs on me & cheering me on. Sorry I have been slow to post news today. Just had a totally mad busy day. Got fert report. 6 made it from 11. I know at my age I should be happy to have that many but we were hoping for 7 based on rates achieved on go 1 and 2. Embryoligist was pretty up beat. He said that they were happy to carry on the blast route for now. So they'll call me with an update tomorrow and then we have to make the big calls - Day 3 transfer or hold on over the weekend? Dh and I are set on holding out over the weekend. Plus do we let them unfreeze some of our precious snow babies so that they are in synch - as they were frozen on Day 2. I think that as we are going to move clinic after this attempt, we may unfreeze all 6 snow babies and see how they all do over the weekend. Big decisions. But I am in the mood to try to throw everything at the problem and see what happens.

Then we went to argc (which has the best stats in the UK) for an initial consultation. Very interesting. They want to run every test in the book especially as I have auto immune issues. I am ok with this as the more that they find out the better from my perspective. They would do a monitored cycle off my April AF so we would not have to wait too long at all. I am happy/relieved to have a Plan B. We will only be able to afford 1 cycle there as it is SO very very expensive. That will be our last roll of the dice with my eggs. After that our only choice would be a donor egg overseas but dh cannot get his head around that yet.

Anyhow 1 step at a time!! Don't get ahead of myself.

I'll let you know how are six survivors are doing tomorrow.

Love to you all.
Carolyn

Wannababy ~ OMG!!!!! That's so wonderful
Your story about telling dh was very touching...I'm sure all of us reading can hopefully see ourselves in the same wonderful position soon!
Looking forward to seeing your numbers grow! Please keep us up on how you are doing!

Carolyn ~ 6 little embies is wonderful! I know you wanted 7, but it's survival of the fittest and these six are giving you BIG odds for success! I know you have a tough wknd ahead with a tough decision to go for it on day 5 or do the day 3....hopefully your embryologist will feel very strongly one way or another and there won't be too much pressure on you guys. Lots of prayers your way all weekend!

Steph and Jen
- hope your embies are growing nicely and on target for success! 8)

Wiggal
~ hope you are doing well. Update us when you can on how things are proceeding!

Hugs to all!

Real quick post to say CONGRATS WANNA!!!! Couldn't possibly be happier for you. :D :D It is such great news. Please send some of those BFP vibes to all of us still cycling so we can join you soon!! Can't wait to hear all the details...keep us posted!

Carolyn- I think that is a great fert report and you should be very proud of those embies!!! :D I know you have some tough decisions ahead of you but when the time comes to make the call you will know the best thing to do for you and DH. I'm certain it will all fall into place. It's great you got into see that new clinic but I honestly hope you never have to step foot inside there because I want this cycle to result in a BFP so badly for you!

(((HUGS))) to everybody else...I will try to post personals tonight or tomorrow. I must rush home as the rest of my meds were being delivered today and it's pouring outside so they are most likely sitting on my front porch in the rain!!

And I'm starting to feel like my RE is out to get me :x ...why am I the only one blessed with three shots a day?? I'm all for being an overachiever but this is ridiculous!!

Hi Carolyn - good luck with the next progress report - I am sure you will know what to do when it comes to decide -just trust your instincts.

Just had a another scan - no real progress since Tuesday so he is increasing the dose of gonal F. I am completely over it now - just sick of the whole mental anguish/process. I mean how much longer can these injections go on - he reckons another week. To start my record stimming was a bit of a joke but now I am sick of it. Low doses mean the follies don't grow, higher doses put me in hospital with OHSS. Really fed up.

That was all about me - SORRY - I'm going to get stuck into some work to take my mind off things. And I am probably going to have a glass of wine over the weekend too .!
