So finally it is the weekend and I have time to read and do a proper catch up
JB - so blimin' happy for you. Hope that you are having an amazing weekend on cloud 9. Sending you major doubling vibes. Sounds like you have a fighter on your hands. I knew it was fate when you had to swap donors and they offered you the proven donor. Just had to be your time hun
Kim - what news for you hun?
Kelly - brave lady jumping on the roller coaster again so soon. Great that you have extra follies this time. Sending the folly fairy your way. Hope that your EC will go well later this week. Hope that work is not too busy for you. Such a juggling act. Hope that your puppy is better now
Rhall - how are you doing babe? The second week is a killer but look at JB - you really cannot tell anything from all the symptoms and really just have to hang in there as best you can. Crossing everything for you. So fab that you have all those frosties too. What stage did they get frozen???
Lucy - glad that everything is sorted for your 1st visit to IM. Hope that you got the dircetions that I sent you. They have come from Jen1d and Gill so thanks due to them
Vicki - hope that you are not doing too badly with all the waiting. With Xmas it should pass quickly. Have they given you any dates as yet?
Jen1d - glad that the op is over for you and they did not find anything like cysts etc that might delay your frozen cycle. It is good that you have the adoption process moving forward too
BigJ - WoooHOooo on jumping on the roller coaster again. 18mm lining last time and 8mm already. That is totally amazing. If you get a moment please can you tell me what the TESE was like and why your dh had to get that done. My dh has to have too as his sperm fragmentation result was very high. Any info would be helpful as he is totally in denial. Good luck babe for this cycle
Gill - good luck for your blood test on Monday. Brave brave lady. Hope that you will be able to fit in the bone marrow with your next cycle ok. Hope that you have a nice weekend lined up
Anna - two teeth and a pumpkin outfit. So cute

Thanks for the info re-your result. I texted it to JB straight away. Also told her that it is the doubling that really matters rather than the absolute number. They will take bloods again from her on Monday to ensure that it is rising. Let her know how happy all the board ladies were for her!
Andrea - tough decisions. Mine decision to move to donor is/was not clear cut either - I have low FSH (5) and produce loads of eggs (23 last cycle) but they all seem to be poor quality and we now have male facor too. I think that it is good to start getting your heads around DE sooner rather than later. I was thinking that was where we would end up from around about cycle 3 and certainly through cycle 4. I read a lot and researched a lot of clinics too. It helped me to start getting my head around it as there is so much to think about/consider. Will you tell the child? What info can you get for the child? What about risk of siblings? Etc etc There is loads of stuff about this at the very start of this thread if you are interested. It also helped me adapt faster when the last cycle failed despite so many eggs and the best (in terms of % success) clinic in the UK. So in short I think that thinking about it now and giving your own eggs a final roll of the dice is a good way to handle the tranistion. You do need to grieve for your own child but then you quickly become very happy that you have another chance but you do need to know that you have given it your best shot with your own eggs first. Hope that this helps
Sonia - Work. What a juggling act. I had to push back my last cycle as was travelling to Dubai and Germany but that seems a life time ago now. Sounds like you have a busy but exciting job. At the end of the day guess we all have to figure what is most importnat for us. I shall just walk out next week if I get the call to go to sunny Spain and they will just have to manage. Hope that you can figure a way through the travel and the appointments. You can always 'attend' meetings via video/telephone conference. Not ideal but a way around it maybe????
Hugs to everyone else.
Pleased it is the weekend. Hope that you all have a good one planned. So scan went well. Thanks for the sparkles lady and passing on my news!!! Lining is 8mm after 8 days on patches. No signs of any cysts and no signs of any follicles either. YIPPEEE. Got ARGC to write out my pregnancy test. Bad as cost £40 but means that I can get the result in 3 hours on test day. Never was a patient person. So I mailed IM with the info. But no response so guess now I will not hear until Monday at the earliest. I am quite chilled as feel very ok on the patches. I am pretty much packed. I have a list of things to do when the call/e-mail comes through. Work is always going to be a juggling act whenever we get the call. I think that it will be the back end of next week. But what do I know. More important that they get the donor right than worry about me.
Have a great weekend all . Off to get my hair cut & nails done pre-Spain and we are out for dinner with friends tonight. Means that I can indulge in X Factor and Dancing tomorrow! Although hope that the Dancing yields a more sensible result than last week.
Lots of Love to you all.
Carolyn
