Hi All

I have a question re Baby aspirin.

I notice many ladies here are advised to take baby aspirin. My clinic specifically advises against it. Any ideas why this might be?

Also, I am on Day 3 of Stims. Last time I had no issue with injections and this time I am really struggling. Any tips? I am hesitating as I inject and it actually really hurts as I inject. Feel like a wimp so any advice would be really welcome!

Thanks
Tracey

Love Bug Thank you! Please consider the whole chinese medicine route. You can see what a huge difference it made. Everything...AP, herbs...and I continued through the whole thing and did AP 3 times the week of transfer. That thing was going to stick! :) I'm a total believer...don't give up!!

cwrj00 I don't know why that would be...it's pretty well documented. I took it a month before too, as it helps the eggs get nourished. It thins the blood a tiny bit so it's easier for the embryo to implant & get fed. The only time my clinic told me to stop was for the couple of days before ER so I didn't get excess bleeding.
I don't have any inject tips for stims...don't hesitate, it does hurt more.

Daisy Welcome! Relax and let it happen. I had cramping until about 7 or 8 days post. It can be implanting or it can be the progesterone, they don't know. Spotting is fine too....it may be from implanting. You'll be great...hang in!

Maggie That's great news!! Good luck on Monday.

Amber I'm not sure....I was on another protocol.

Back from the transfer. I have an 8-cell and a 7-cell embryo inside me at this very moment! They gave us a photo of our two embies to take home with us. I just hope these guys stick around. Hubbs and I are pleased that at least we were able to make zygotes together! My beta is scheduled for June 5.

I felt surprising calm at the transfer--wierd as I have been such an emotional basket-case every time I go to the clinic. The egg retrieval was much more emotional for me. The transfer was so quick I didn't have time to get weepy at all! Did any of you feel strangely detached at the transfer?

I do feel a sense of relief now that I have done everything I can and now it's up to Mother nature to see this through. I'm proud of myself for giving up coffee and alcohol, shooting myself up with meds on demand, dealing with each hurdle and setback along the way, and the waiting, waiting waiting. This board has helped me so much--thank you all for your wisdom and answers and also for the good spirit I feel coming my way.

Now for some more waiting. . .

SueQ-- CONGRATS you are PUPO!!!! Just after I had the transfer I had a sense of peace. Just like you said, you've done all you can, its out of your hands now. Can't wait to hear your beta results on June 3rd!!

Amber- sorry AF is a no show, she's so darn unreliable! Keep us posted.

Rinnie- I can't remember when your next beta is, I'll have to look back. I'll be rooting for your little bean! I'm so glad he/she is snuggling into you little womb! I hope you are enjoying every minute of your pregnancy. I just feel like every minute I can be pregnant is a blessing in itself and I'm trying not to focus on what's next. BTW, I don't have another scheduled beta. I'm not sure if I'm going to get any on my own. My first u/s will be when I'm 5 1/2 weeks, but i think I'm going to try to push it back to 6 weeks. That way I'll have a better chance of seeing the HB on the u/s, we'll see. how 'bout you?

CWRJ- my RE does aspirin. You aren't missing out on anything it sticks because you bruise up and bleed after your shots! My understanding is that for women who've had unexplained miscarriage its probably a good idea, but I don't think there's substantial evidence for using it in everyone. I just think all clinics are different.

Daisy- All your symptoms sound great to me, can't wait to hear some good news on June 6th!

Lovebug- A trip to Hawaii would be well deserved! Take as much time as you need away, I completely understand that it helps to stay away for awhile to clear your mind.

Rubylee- Thanks so much dear! I'm wishing you lots of sticky dust! I haven't planned out the nursery yet, I'm sticking with me "enjoy each day of being pregnant" mantra- it helps me not plan to the future and not be anxious about whether my little bugger will make it. I just keep telling myself "at least I'm pregnant today, that's all that matters" I did however break down and official come up with names! BTW I'm not sure how long you are on best rest, however it you are still on it today I think you should watch Little Mermaid or Finding Nemo- as a blow fish you'll feel at home

IndiaBlue- Amen, about the u/s on your AF. I was so confused about how to handle the hygiene of the whole situation, I had a very elaborate stash of pads, tampons, handwhips in my pockets. What a pain!

ForMaggie- I'm so glad to hear your doing well. Being "at risk" for OHSS is a double edge sword (i was too). On one hand you like to hear it b/c you think- yeah lots of eggs, but then when they start talking about cancelling your cycle it's definitely NO FUN. I'm glad they are watching you closely and taking good care of you. Let's get this party rollin' now huh? Can't wait to hear about everything.

Angram- Thanks for your support. What better way to celebrate Memorial day than a nice first shot of lupron, huh? Remind me are you a vet or a 1st timer?

Neffi- Its so easy to have doubts, I hope your mind is at ease now about your protocol. Everyone had a different plan, its probably not good for us to compare because our cases are all different. Lots of hugs and support!

Well Ladies, I fell off the wagon and POAS yesterday and today. Both negative. I used First Response. I still believe it is too early though to detect. I am only 10dpt today and I read somewhere that hcg is slower showing up on FET.

I understand about the whole wagon situation :D I agree that its still too early. having an early positive is nice, but an early negative is no reason to get down. Remind me when you have your beta?

I had the best doctor today...she was the one doing the weekend shift, so funny. She actually said "not a problem, but don't forget your lovely parting gifts when you leave" and pointed to the pads and tampons in the basket. She said "we don't want you to go out in the world unprotected" LOL....she was a hoot. I'm partial to my brand though, so I had a stash in my purse LOL TMI but she even said "yep, there is still some fluid in your cavity, we'll get a picture of that"......ummm, okay LOL

Hey ladies. I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekends! I'm glad this weekend fell in the middle of my 2ww! It should make the wait seem a little shorter!

Rinnie & SD!! Congratulations ladies! I am so happy for both of you! Hope you are both enjoying being pregnant!!

LoveBug: I am so sorry about your results. I hope you take your time to heal, and just feel what ever you need to. Do whatever you need to to get through this, even if it is a much deserved trip to Hawaii! Best wishes to you!

daisy: I hope your 2ww doesn't seem too long for you! And congrats on the ET!!

cwrj: My RE actually had the baby aspirin in the prescriptions they called in. I have yet to really figure out why RE's do things so differently. And luckily my DH gave me my shots, so there was time for hesitation. I'm sure it would hurt worse thinking about it. Good luck!

SueQiwi: Congrats on your ET!! Don't you just love that you get your first pic of the little embabies?! Good luck with your 2ww, hope it doesn't seem too long! I was the same way after ET. I was more calm maybe because it didn't seem as intense as the ER.

aims: I am sure it's just too early for that BFP to POAS. So don't get discouraged. Good luck!

Amber: Good luck starting stims tomorrow!

IndieBlue: Sounds like you had an awesome dr today! It makes things so much easier when you feel comfortable!

To all you wonderful ladies I missed, hope you are having a nice, relaxing weekend! Baby dust wishes to all!

Hi Ladies! Just a quick update on me. I had my ER today. They retrieved 12 eggs. I'll find out tomorrow how many fertilized.

The Vicodin they gave me for pain, is making me loopy, so I'm going to sleep. I'll post more later.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

IMBlessed 12's a really good number...not too many, not too few! Congrats! Now rest up and let us know the fert report...can't wait to hear.

SD Hey....I have another Beta on Tues 27th, then they said the U/S would be the following week which would be week 6. I guess they just want to see the gestational sac & make sure it looks ok. According to this chart I read when I plugged in my ER date I won't be able to see the heartbeat until June 14th.
My butt hurts so badly right now...I think DH hit a nerve or something... all I can think of is going in on Tues and asking for suppositories for a week, just to give myself a break. It's taking my mind off waiting for the beta though :)

Sue Congrats on ET! I always look at my photo, I love love love it!

Aims I think you're right about FET...I read in my extensive poas research  that there is less HCG. I only got a positive on the hpt on day 10, so you are absolutely too early.

IndieBlue That's great! I like doctors like that. I mean truth is, they've really seen it all.

jharris12 You sound happy & kickin back! Have a great Memorial Day PUPO :)
