Barbara - I've been craving fruit since the beginning with this one. Cold fruit is best - melons, citrus, apples - and even fruit juice (which I normally don't drink much of.) I hate cooked vegetables right now and that's really odd for me because I usually serve a vegetable with dinner and I just can't find many I like right now. I don't usually eat a lot of lunch meat when I'm not pregnant but I did crave it a couple weeks ago. I just threw it in the microwave with some cheese for 30 seconds and had a hot ham & cheese sandwich. Not the same as a cold deli sub, but satisfied the craving that day.

And p.s. if any of you are craving a hot dog, Oscar Meyer makes an Angus one that is nitrate free. I'm currently waiting for mine to cook (as that was my craving while I was grocery shopping today.)

I have been craving pears like crazy... not so much not as in the first trimester. Also gallons of fruit juice! Lately it's been meat - pure protein... chicken, steak, crab... I swear I could live off protein and fruit right now.

I'm really starting to show now! Is it possible to have belly shots from some of our girls who want to show off? I'm going to do mine at 18 weeks, been taking them weekly except last week. It's mind blowing how far along I am already! It seems like yesterday that we found out we were pregnant.

I also find it a bit harder to take full breaths after eating or drinking.... short of breath and don't like bending over to get things, etc. LOL My doctor said I am measuring four weeks ahead so perhaps that's not such an unusual thing.

Hi Sonya - Oh yes, let's share belly pics!! I love baby bumps. I've gained about 4-5 pounds total but the belly has really popped out the last 2 weeks. (My boobs on the other hand have shrunk LOL.)

I take my pics and put them on my blog every couple weeks or so. Here are mine from 11w, 14w, and 16w.

Stephanie....Love the names! I love the name Jackson too. DD has a Jackson in her class and he spells his name Jaxson which I thought was cute. Problem is...my dog's name is Jack.

Sonya....Congrats on having a BOY! DH must be thrilled! You are the perfect example of what a pregnant girl should be eating...protein and fruit. I can sometimes eat fruit, but I get hungry quick after and need to eat again. As for protein, I can't even look at a chicken breast. Good for you! Keep it up!

Gina.....You poor thing! Pneumonia is awful. I hope that you feel better soon! On a good note....your twin belly is cute!

Klinger...Your baby bump is cute! I'm with you....no vegetables! I don't think I've had one since before 6wks. Potatoes....but that doesn't really count as healthy. DH had the best hot dog when we were in Hawaii. I took a bite and it was sooooo good. The funny thing is that I'm usually a healthy eater. Since being pregnant, it has all gone out the window. Healthy food doesn't appeal to me at all. I'm hoping that my food choices change in my 2nd trimester. I want to be healthy for my little ones.

Deidre.......Awwwww baby Jasmine! How sweet! I love it!

Barbara.....Congrats on having a GIRL! Cute pictures too!

Mellow....Did you have your nuchal scan yet?

Karian.....How are you feeling other than hungry? I've feel the same way. I'm not sure that I'm as hungry as I just need to eat. If I don't, I get nauseous. It hits me every 2 hrs. I get so tired of eating all the time. It would be okay if there was something that I actually wanted to eat.

As for me......I went for the nuchal scan on Friday. The results were normal for the scan....thank goodness. Baby A was so active the tech was having a hard time getting a good look. Baby B was sleeping then started moving around a bit. It was so sweet. She said that she thinks that we have a boy and a girl. Of course, she said it's really early, but that was her prediction. I hope! I also had a blood test which I didn't get the results for yet. The dr said that the babies look great! I have another blood test appt in a couple weeks. Did you ladies get the blood tests too? No one mentioned it.

I love that everyone is finding out the gender. I want to know so bad. We are doing some remodeling and need all the preparation we can get. As for names.....we talk about it sometimes. We have girl names picked out, but boy names are so much harder because he has so many friends with boys and his brothers have 5 boys between them. Not to mention that I have 24 grandchildren in my family. We have alot of both.

For all of the twin moms-to-be...what about cribs? Will you be getting one or two? I've been told that we should only have one because they want to be together. DH is a twin and his mom said she had one. Another friend that's a twin said they were in one. I haven't even started looking at anything baby yet. We have so much going on at our house right now. We want to remodel our master bedroom and bath, family room and kitchen before they come. Plus the baby room of course.

I'm feeling okay. I have good days and bad days. It seems like every other day is good.I'm tired and I eat alot. The eating seems never-ending.

I hope that everyone had a nice weekend!
~Karin~

Love all of the baby bumps! I will try to get a better picture of mine.

Mellow: we are buying 2 cribs as they won't be tiny forever. We are getting the convertible cribs that turn into toddler beds and eventually full size beds. They will definitely share for at least a few months. I want to get the cribs at the same time so they will match too.

Karin~ I didn't really have a formal nuchal scan on friday during my ultrasound, the tech measured one and said it looked fine...but I didn't do the testing because with twins it will be elevated and I don't want any false positives worrying me. :) At this point we have one crib, I left it set up after we lost Johnny. It never officially became his room, but I would go in there to pray and cry, it was a good thing for me for healing. So it's still there, and it was expensive...the store I got it from doesn't sell them anymore and I am not willing to shell out $1300 for another one. So, I think they will be sharing for awhile, and I don't think my DH will let them out of our sight for months anyway, so they will be in our room for quite some time. Funny thing about the cravings...the thought of chicken repulses me too. I wonder why that is.

I've been craving things I am not supposed to have as well. Blimpie subs, would be the worst one right now, and I have to admit I have indulged a couple times. It's hard when nothing sounds good and the need for eating is every 2 hours. That part is really hard. I also have braces, so anything hard like raw veggies is out, things like crackers for snacking it out, and so on...it's super frustrating, and I want them off! I broke a bracket last night trying to eat a stinkin cracker. UGH. I too am feeling better, but it's about every other day that it happens. The dizziness is the worst offender for me at this point, I renders me useless. :)

Oh yeah! Karin, we are officially in the second trimester this week!!! Fist pump!! :D Woot!!

My gawd I am hardly showing compared to the rest of you! I'm about 30 lbs overweight so I'm sure that makes me look not as 'rounded' as you girls.... I sure "Feel" like I'm showing! LOL
