Hi all my IUI pals

Jan - Will be thinking of you tommorow. Hope it all goes well. can't believe your surge has finally happened after all this waiting. Try to relax during the 2ww. It looks like we will be testing around the same time as we thought so we can support each other. I have got one more injection of menopour tommorow and then the scan on Tuesday.

Holly - How did your doctors appointment go? Have you got a date to start yet?

Nicki - Hi to you and thank you for all your support

hello to everyone else taking IUI. Is anyone else near to treatment.

Angela

Hi Gals!

All went well today...now for the 2ww! Yuck...but hopefully the 2ww will turn into the 9 month wait! :D

The clinic usually tells me 'no restrictions on activity', etc, but thought I'd take it easy anyway today, just in case that helps things along. So, spent most of the afternoon on the sofa...TV, napping, etc. DH was more than happy to be lazy with me today, so it's been a pretty quiet afternoon.

Thanks for all the well wishes...!

Ang: can't wait for you to start your 2ww as well...we can over-analyze everything together!

Nicki: we'll be there for you when you turn comes 'round girl...don't worry!

Take care all you IUIers!

Good afternoon to all the IUI'ers. Well the scan went well this morning and I have 3 follies that are doing well, at 18, 16 and 11. I had my last meonpour injection this morning and have got to take the HCG this afternoon. Then it is in for treatment on Thursday morning at 8am. Dh doesn't realise that there are 2 8oclocks in one days as we work till late at night so are never up that early. Never mind just so long as he can perform we will be alright.

Jan, how is the wait going. Hope you are relaxing.

Nicki - when do you start?

Holly - Not heard from you in a while. Are you alright?

Is there anyone else out there doing IUI that wants to join in this thread.

Speak to you all soon

Hello all
I would like to join in this thread if that is ok.. I have posted a couple of times but most of these threads seem to be really full....I have posted this also but I will again so you all know where I am....
I was dx with PCOS in 03/05 and I have been on Metformin ever since.. I tried clomid (I o'd on my own but to no success) Than I was moved to injections (follistem and IUI) we tried 2 but no luck. This last month 03/7/06 and 03/08/06 was the 3rd and 4th attempt.. They did two back to back.. I am now in the 2ww limbo.. I should be able to do a blood test (assuming no AF on 03/27) this wait is killing me.. I have been through this before and even though I am trying to be positive I feel the way I always do.. Slight cramping bloated.. Nothing new.. Why cant they come up with a sign that says "you are pregnant" I guess I just wanted to join in and look for some support... I feel like AF can start any minute but I will hold for now with hope.... You ladies are really incredible and very welcoming thats why I thought I would join... Thanks for any words of advice or thoughts... Baby dust to all..

Me 31 DH 32
TTC since 03/05 dx with PCOS
3 rounds of clomid (o'd but no success)
2 IUI negative
03/08/06 2 IUI and now on progerstone sup's
hoping for a BFP...

Hi jacko and welcome to this thread. Hope you are well and not suffering too much on your 2ww. You are very welcome on this thread. I like it as I sometimes feel a bit left out on the other threads as the other girls are having IVF and I am on IUI. It is nice to be on a thread where we are all going through the same.

Keep your spirits up

Angel,
thank you for the warm welcome.. I know what you mean about some of the other post's.. Everyone is really nice but if they are not going through the same thing its sometimes hard to breakin to converstation. I am feeling ok just a little frustrated.. I feel like AF will start any minute but at the same time I want to keep my hopes up....

Jacki

I know exactly what you mean about the waiting. After my first lot of IUI I started spotting on day 10. To start with I was devastated because I knew it hadn't worked, then I began to think it was implantation bleeding but then AF came with avengence on day 12 so I knew it was all over. During those 10 days I convinced myself I had got every prenancy symptom going. I knew at the time it was stupid but I was pinning everything on the IUI working. I am hoping that I can be a bit more chilled out this time about it all.

i love reading everyones posts on the other threads and adding my bit but I do feel a bit left out sometimes and also as if it shouldn't be a big deal for me because it is only IUI whereas for me if there is any chance of this working it is the big thing. Jan and Nicki who also post here are both wonderful and have given me loads of support.

Take care and hello to everyone else
Angela

Angel...
This thread has been great.. I am sure we all have wonderful supportive Dh's but I have to admit sometimes I feel like the only people that understand this is people going through it... I like reading and I am always so unsure about posting (I just dont want to but in).
On a funny note...I am sure we all read into the "symtoms" that we have but I have to laugh at myself.. I was at a movie with DH and I wanted to know if my BB's were still sore.. This was one of my last IUI's so in the middle of the movie I just bumped my bb to see and it was.. Well I got so side tracked not really sure if it was sore or not that I did it again.. DH looked at me like I had lost my mind.. I have to laugh because we can drive ourselves crazy wondering....I will just keep my fingers and eyes and toes crossed for lots of baby dust for all

Jacko

During the last cycle of IUI I spent most of the 2ww testing my BB's to see if they were sore, which towards the end they were to the point that I posted to see if it was normal. I think I was looking for someone to say yes it means you are pregnant. Doesn't the pressure of this all make us do some really irrational things. It is wonderful to have this board as to the people on here the mad things we are thinking all seem a little bit more normal.

Hi girls
Well I am waiting for dh to do another s/t at the hospital and he has to make an app to do this. Everyday I ask if he has called and everyday he says later. So today I will try and pin him down. When he has done this then we can make another app with the doctor about doing more iui's.
Wish me luck! After the m/c I want to do some more iui's without clomid.
Before going on to ivf.
Good luck our 2weekers.

Holly

You are lucky your DH would make the appointment. I had to phone up and book it for him. Men certainly have a thing about s/t. Hope he has made the appointment and you can get on with the IUI. I have only tried IUI so far but have 1 go at IVF on the NHS in May, if this cycle doesn't work. From what I have read on hear IUI is so much less invassive that I would prefer for that to work.

All the best and hello to everyone else

hello..
well it seems like the cramping was AF.. It arrived this morning.. I don't know what to do.. This was our 3rd IUI.. I am not sure how we choose if we go to IVF (and how we afford that) or if we do another IUI.. I have heard 4 tries is a good #. Well since this last one was back to back (2 days in a row) is that 3 or 3 and 4.. I am so confused....best luck and baby dust to the rest of the 2ww

well no guessing now it was AF for sure... I have set an appointment for another IUI (we will have to see if I was overstimulated) if so I may have to take this next month off.. I also set up a consulatation for an IVF consulation.. I really hope we dont get there.. the only other thing I did was set an appointment for accupuncture.. I have heard good things about this too (at this point I am willig to try anything)
baby dust to all....
