hi ladies,

just confirming the official results - BFN - Was really the saddest part to see the tears in my husbands eyes. He was so positive till the very end. Just a sad, sad time right now.

Would probably be easier if AF had arrived and I had a sign like that - to say it was really over, but like last time, she probably won't show up for about a week. I just feel positively empty inside.

Sorry too to hear the news from Stacey and Mybaby. Take the time you need to grieve and to be angry and upset and empty and sad. It's a huge loss you are feeling, I know. Eventually, things will start to get better, I promise.

I spoke to my mother and told her both that we had tried again and that it didn't work again and she encouraged us not to give up and to try again if it were possible. So, I'm waiting to hear from our doctor to discuss the situation.

Thanks so very, very much for all of your kind words of condolence and caring, they really touched my heart.

Although difficult, I can't help but be happy for those of you who "made it" and have a new life growing inside of you. It really gives me hope that maybe it will work for us and that 3 will be our magic number.

Take care, take it easy and lots of good wishes to you all,
Amy

Amy- I'm so sad that you didn't get it!! I just thought maybe.... You are in my thoughts as is everyone who got the BFN (and I think F does NOT stand for fat in this case)!!!!!

Not that this matters too much, but I incorrectly put my second beta at 201- it was 207, not 201. Am I splitting hairs or what? But, every point matters when you only JUST double!! So, I go back Monday for Beta #3.

Any of you so tired during the day, but at night when time for bed can't sleep? I have been up since 5:30 this morning and it is now approaching 11:30 pm. I laid in bed for an hour and a half and finally got back up. I am sleepy. I don't know if it is the PIO, the preg. hormones, or anticipation of tomorrow's b/w. I guess you are all snug in your beds. I will try again.

I am so very sorry to here you both got negative results back..words can not describe how sad we all feel for you both and and your familys.
This whole process can either be totally amazing or can truly suck :(
I hope with all my heart that your both going to try again soon, and that you will both become mommys soon...
It was 3rd time lucky for me, a long wait but one that i kinow will be worth it.. and it will be for you both too.

I am starting my stims tomorrow. This will be my second attempt and last. Can you tell me how many miracles did this board have? I am so afraid of another BFN.
I am on my 2nd attempt of IVF.

MyBaby- I stayed in bed for 2 days and then on the third, I pretty much resumed normal activities. I saw your post on another board about your full bladder. I don't know about the full bladder, but everything I read prior to doing IVF said that one of the main factors that contributes to success is the skill of the doctor when transfering the embryos. I'm not saying that your doctors didn't do a perfect job, but the full bladder is so important so that they can visualize the uterus better. I was told to drink 64 ounces of water one hour prior to transfer. The website- Advanced Fertility Clinic of Chicago has great information on the contributing factors of successful IVF. I'm so sorry you didn't get a BFP!!! I would be doing the same thing- researching like mad!!

Someone posted a hcg beta link before, can you please provide this again?

The progesterone injections really hurt and I could barely sit. My re quickly moved me to suppositories and that was a great improvement. I am not sure if all clinics offer this option yet, but supposedly it works just the same.
