AFM - I had another growth appt. today and baby C has grown 5oz in a week. No hospital confinement for me just yet. Looking to the next milestone...

so i went for my beta #3 today. i couldnt wait, plus tomorrow is going to be quite busy. my beta #3 is 3539 at 22dpo. that's 58hour doubling time since my last beta. i was a little dissapointed that my doubling time has slowed down - but the doc seems to think its fine. my u/s is scheduled for next friday, jan 13th ( 6w3d) although the doc wanted me to wait till jan 16th ( 6w6d). he says at 6w3d it is still 50%/50% on the heartbeat. but i decided to take my chances. i just cant imagine waiting through the weekend. at least we will see if the structure is on time even if we dont see the u/s.

more waiting now. boy or boy! this is hard.

Yay...you are so preggo my friend! I do understand about the waiting & how much it stinks! I hope the next 7 days fly by for you!

Hi Ladies! I would love to join this thread with you all. We just saw twin heartbeats on our ultrasound yesterday! I started a thread on the IVF board about moms trying for Baby #2. Third time around this time seems to be the double charm...whoa! We are excited of course, but overwhelmed as well. I used to be a nurse in a high risk OB department (over 10 years ago), so I've seen some of the complications with multiples and of course am worried about it.

Are there any other moms of twins on this thread? I would love to hear from you about your pregnancy experience so far and where you've found good knowledge and support.


According to the twin IVF calculator online, I believe the due date will likely be 7/31/12. The singleton calculator says the due date would be 8/22/12.

Hi Alexis! Congratulations on twins! I'm a mommy-to-be of b/g twins. So far, my experience has been great. I'm exactly 22 weeks today & have gained about 20lbs since the start of the pregnancy. I was lucky since I didn't have any m/s. I was mostly exhausted my 1st trimester. I'm starting to get lower back & hip pain, but nothing too bad. I have been getting a prenatal massage every week & I must say that it has been extremely beneficial. I guess it's a little different for me than for you in the sense that this is my 1st pregnancy, so I have nothing to compare it to & I'm clueless when it comes to the things I need to get. My LOs will have their own cribs. We are getting a double snap n go & another stroller for when they're a little bit older. DH hates the side-by-side ones, so we're going w/ a tandem one; I've heard mixed reviews on the tandem strollers. But then again, I've also heard mixed reviews on the side-by-side strollers. My SIL has triplets & they had a single stroller & a side-by-side that she used when her & her DH would take them out together. They didn't like it. I'm due May 10th, but will go by the end of April at the latest. My goal is to be ready by 33w. I'm a teacher & I hope to work up until I deliver, but we shall see what happens. Congrats again!

Only time for a quick update......
Ethan Finn 5lbs 15oz, 19 1/2 inches long,
Avery Lynn 6lbs 1oz, 20 inches long arrived Tues, Jan 3rd at 732pm/733pm via Csection... after a long attempt at induction.

They are the most beautiful babies I have ever seen! They have been in great condition and did not have to go to NICU at all. I have been able to have them in the room with me and my husband since mid morning yesterday.
Me on the other hand had elevated blood pressure and hemorrhaging issues that have delayed my recovery. Hope to be able to post more tomorrow as I get stronger. I am slowly improving and hopefully will be able to go home later tomorrow. Fingers crossed!
