September Hope's and Dream's

Hello Everyone - I'm back from the New Forest and can't believe the amount of posts on here since Fri!!! I've had a quick scan of them as there are far too many to read!!
Well, my scan on Fri went well. I had 12 follies on my left and 5 on my right, some of which were nice and big and some of which were a little bit smaller. So, I carried on with the Menopur and Buserelin and took my last injections of those yesterday (WAHOOOOOO!!!) and had my trigger shot last night at 10pm ready of EC tomorrow (Weds) at 10am!!
Now I'm nervous! I was told on Fri that I'll be under sedation but not put out completely and that DH can't come into theatre with me as he'll have to go and do his "bit" at the same time. Am I worrying over nothing?? They have told me that I might feel some discomfort but won't remember anything about it afterwards. I don't want to feel anything!!!!

Vickie - I know you won't get this til afterwards but I'm thinking of you this morning and praying they get lots of lovely eggies out.

Becky - GOOD LUCK for tomorrow - looks like we're in at the same time!! Hope it all goes well for you.

To everyone else, far too many to mention, keep up that PMA and bucketloads of babydust to us all!!!!

Hey guys? I have missed you so!!!!!

internet have been down at home so I could not connect . The good news is that we decided to get a proper connection so from next week, i shall be connected 24/7!!!!

I cant stay long because i am in a cybercafe.

quick update for myself, my Dr messed it up (again) and my EC will not be around the 5th but around the 12. no need to say that i am p*****off.

Emma,

I had sedation on my last one. Tell them to use max dose and you will fall asleep through the op. The only discomfort you feel are like period type cramps but you can kill them off with paracetamol and hot water bottle. Believe me I have done this 4 times and if it hurt that much I wouldn't do it..right wimp me at times!!!

KF - so sorry you've had your cycle cancelled try and keep your chin up. We are all thinking of you

Ange - how's it going? I'm soo tired it's unreal I'm glad it's not just me though. That was so nice of your friends to do that for you. I haven't told anybody this time apart from our parents I just can't cope with everyone asking me all the time (although it is all well meaning) it's just an extra pressure that I can do without. Good luck with the injections!

Becky - I'm from S. Wales a place called Cwmbran, where are you from? I also have a friend who has married and moved over to N.Ireland to Bangor - there must be something about the irish men!


Good luck to everyone who are having scans and EC's today, I wish you all the best and have my fingers crossed.

Jackie, how are u? Ur post looks very nice. Like aunty. I already asked my accu Dr. He said it was good to do accu during 2 ww. Help implantation. But if we get pregnant We have to stop it until at least 4 months.

I am still on BC. I feel weak easily. But is okay, I need more rest. I hope it will bring down my FSH. I am doing reflexology now... Anything to bring down my FSH. So Reflexology twice a week and accu 3 times a week. I know it looks ridiculous. But I am little bit relax now. DR plan for my 1st Gonal will be 15th. I will be in town 4 days earlier to get used to with environment.

Vickie honey we are all thinking of you. Please keep us posted with how the EC went..I had the same feeling about the HCG I felt like it happened too early (just my body playing tricks on me ) it will be ok and we are all pulling for you

I can only offer my experiences. On my IVF I had 14 follies and everything was going great. The day of EC I went in and found that all of them were empty (except 2) and one of those was bad. We had already come that far so we did ICSI and waited, I cried and cried but I read so many posts on "it only takes one" for me the one little fighter did get fertilized and it even hung around for a little bit. Sadly I did loose the fighter but the point was it did only take one. Its a rough choice looking at finacially but everything else aside if your only concern is only having one I say go for it.. Just my thoughts.. Thinking of you honey

Anglea 15 follies sounds great. My doc also said no heavy lifting from the time of stimms on. I know some clincs just really want us to be very inactive..No cleaning for you than

How are you doing? We miss your daily posts..I think the acc and the reflexology sounds like a great idea.. I did not realize we may be pretty close on our cycles (assuming my cycle plays nicely) how exciting.. I am sorry about the feeling weak thing are you getting enough to eat? The B/C pills may just have that effect but you will be done them soon right? Thinking of you honey

For me nothing new.. I will get the med on Friday to hopefully bring on AF. I am hoping she shows up around September 12th so we can do EC around Sept 22nd or so..

She said her nutnacker barbie was sick I told her if she allowed me, i would give her a best friend she ever had. The real one. She said no, barbie almost die

I hope ur AF comes on schedule honey... U will be doing ur EC a week earlier than me. DR said for me probably around 30th. Talk to you soon. Don't work too hard! When will u have ur permission to leave from work?

Well, I'm back! I survived EC - found it quite panful but had lots of druggies t help me through!

They gave retreived 8 eggs which the embryologist said are mature? I was a bit disapointed after havin so many follies and thought we'd get more eggies than we did.

I'm feeling a bit down about it at the mo. Wot is a good number - i really haven't got a clue? They will phone us in the morning to let us know how they have fertilised and then hopefully we will be back in on Thursday for a 2DT.

If the fertilisation rate is only about 60% am i going to have enough? I am so nervous i just want to know now! we were hoping 2 freeze so that we wouldn't need to do inj's etc again but i don't think thats going to b possible now?!

DH is being brilliant and i am being waited on hand and foot!

Wot do u think ladies - do i have little chance?

I hope you are off sleeping now and hopefully resting soundly Its funny you mention the Zita book because I have to pick mine up and start reading it again. I have gotten lazy I could be pretty close to your schedule too since it all depends on AF and how she plays.. I had to laugh about the barbie story.. I am glad you did not borrow hers it sounds like Barbie needed it a lot more than you did
Poor sweet Barbie I hope she is feeling better.. She is the nutcraker barbie what would the ballet do without her

8 is a great number. It's the quality not quantity. I had 12 at my EC and only 8 of them were mature enough to inject. Out of my 8, 7 fertilised and I had the 2 best put back and 2 frozen and the others where too slow to freeze. You will probably do very well, I am sure of it.
Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow. You should put hot water bottle on your tummy and the pain will fade away.
