Sophie I am so so happy for you!!!!!

OK update they called about my numbers and they have now cancelled sono... my numbers did not double. They were at 504 and now are only at 852. They rose but not to clinics expectations. So now I am a bundle of nerves again and tummy is in knots and I feel horrible it feels like I hit a brick wall head on. Ohhh well Will do personals later.

Wow Susan, that's amazing! Well done you! I'm so happy for you, you must be ecstatic!

hrobinson, is Lupron for downregulating? the drugs are diff here I think. If it is then yes you'll continue to take it until you trigger but maybe it's something else! Thanks for your lovely comments, it's so nice to have your support.

hey Tanya, still waiting?? you're a funny lady, how did you get on with that scan? yes I hope I get to blast too but we'll just have to wait and see. I just don't want to loose out on a transfer by going for blast and them not making it. How did you make the decision to go to blast, was it a hard one?

Jen, glad you had a nice break, nearly time to transfer for you too.

Steph, that's exciting that you get the sono on Thursday, let us know how you get on.

Well done Sophie, what a lot of eggs! The surgeon kissed you??! He's a bit friendly! Sounds like all is going so well. Let us know the fertillity as soon as you know.

Steph, if they rose to the clinics expections isn't that fine? I'm afraid I don't understand all these numbers, we just do pregnancy tests here!

Well, half an hour until I trigger! I remember back in February when our last attempt failed thinking it would be ages before we could have another go and feeling so upset and yet here I am already! Time really is flying by. Nothing much else to report, just need to wait and see what Thursday brings.

I have a hair appointment on Thursday eve which is the same day as my ER, I can't remember how dopey I was last time. Can any of you ladies tell me if I'll be ok to go or if I should cancel and just sleep?

Take care all.

told ya I'd come and check.. between two movies... ;)

gbnut: CONGRATULATIONS! I left a more elaborate message on the other trend, but I'M SO HAPPY for you! The BFP list is growing longer! Yay!

my2lnt: oooooh sweetie... those numbers... I know they can be reassuring when they behave the way you want, but they can be such a source of stress! I hate them for that, and I don't like your clinic having you wait until you meet their standards to make a u/s! I'm sure the bloodwork is more expensive! The numbers are still rising, darling, and that's what's important. I would be worried, too, but it might just mean your little beanie is lazy today. Don't despair, ok? *HUGS* Not every embie fits exactly in the charts!

Jul1e: Congratulations on triggering! yaaaaay! You got there darling! And LOL I realize how me mentioning the surgeon's kiss might have mislead you! Let me rephrase: the procedure was a bit long and definitely painful at times, especially when he dealt with the two big cystsm, so we joked a little together after ER when he was just pushing on the puncture wounds to stop the bleeding (told him I'd kick him if my feet were not so numb) and, just before he left, the embryologist said the final number and we were absolutely exhilarated, all of us! So I saw him walk by the table and I randomly grabbed his arm, hoping to just hold and squeeze his hand so he'd feel how grateful I was. He stopped, turned around, I thanked him and I was crying with joy, and I guess he was touched, because he gave a pat on my shoulder, we joked again and he made a "mwah" against my forehead with his surgery mask still on, said "Really well done, good luck!" and he left. My DH was right in front of him, two nurses next to him and the embryologist was still in the room. I felt it as very fatherly and though I was surprised, I did not mind one bit. It was just the whole atmosphere in that room that made it okay and spontaneous. Sorry for the long justification, but I really don't want you to have a bad opinion about him; it was just very heartwarming to me. (hehehe just talking about it I'm all teary-eyed!) In other circumstances, it would have been inappropriate, I agree, but not this time. As for your hairdresser, well... I didn't even have general anaesthesia and they told me to take the day off at work, and be accompanied to go back home. I would not have been alert enough to drive. So it really depends on the drugs they give you... Personally, I would cancel and reschedule for the next day.

Okay... I'm in shape to update that list with gbnut's amazing news! yay!

Take care ladies,

Sophie

Sophie...21 EGGS!!! That is great!! Looking forward to hearing the report on the fertilization! How are you feeling today?

Gbnut...YEAH!!!!!!!! I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED for you! That is AWESOME! Enjoy this time! Are you telling anyone yet?

My2Lnt...don't worry my dear! At least the numbers are still rising! Stress won't help, so just think positive. I will keep you in my prayers!

Jul1e...Congrats on the trigger! One step closer!!! YEAH!!! BTW...thanks for sharing the video! Dirty Dancing is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE movies!!! "Nobody puts Baby in the corner!" Love it!

Tanya...you sneaky girl! That is great that you have access to a US machine at work, I presume! Maybe you'll see two in there!

hrobinson...definitely only a few weeks that it is not too hot to BBQ here! Then it becomes a sweat fest because it is soooo HOT!!! I know you told me before, but I can't remember...where in TX do you live?

As for me, I am pretty much status quo. I have an appt tomorrow morning for blood work and US and then I guess we set the date for the FET. I am a little nervous about the fact that they are not monitoring me for if I have ovulated or not. Any thoughts from anyone? What happens if they do the transfer before I have ovulated????

Hi all,
I am so busy with the end of the school year assessments and reports and the plans to our flight to Brazil that there is little time to keep up with everything. I've read 12 pages of our thread, just to realize how much it means to me. Yesterday I felt asleep on the keyboard, logged in, totally stressed out. My husband is getting really nervous. He never had biological children and we both hug each other and cry a little every time we see scenes with newborns in the movies. He caresses my still-empty womb and I panic...what if it doesnt' work? My doctors in Brazil are wonderful, they email me with info on the donor...she is all set. We had AF one day apart from each other, as if synchonized naturally. Hope things go well for her, too. It is going to be her third attempt. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, too!

Thanks PMApsy for the dancing panel and the good advice. I really appreciated your comment on depression. We need to respect the brain as an organ, affected as all the other by imbalances and environmental factors. I did get depressed after my daughter was born- it was hipythireodism and, 29 years later, I am still taking tyreoid meds and feeling great. Good luck on your transfer!!!!
(PS: no wonder we enjoy psychology and mental health - our relatives made us more aware of the importance of such things :)!)

Congrats all moms to be! Hope we stick together a bit longer to hear from you after the 12 week's tides! Jovigal, I've read pages before and it was so interesting to read your comments on feeling blue and pessimistic... So glad you were wrong!

Arizonakiwi: your 26 days clock is working ok, right! May your lining be fluffy and nurturing!

Marsxp: AF washes the walls of our uterus and lines it out with hope...

Tropper55: welcome!!!! It is never too late. They probably checked your ovaries and hormone levels. In my case donor eggs is the best shot I have and I am really happy with it!

Daly, still hoping your dog is free of pain and close to you. Staying with the cronically ill is a proof of our better feelings. In the midst of it all, good luck with your fertility quest! I am also curious about the lining factor. What is the problem if our lining is not good?

Julie, are you the same person who complained of being moody and imbalanced - and got more than 20 eggs? Hope you get some strong, smiley ones to meet Mr. Right in a couple of days!

I am making sure I will be able to post and read you all from Brazil. Until them, things go a bit slowly. I will bury myself under a pile of papers and to do lists. My DH got burned by poison ivy but didn't want to take any meds due to our near future fertilization procedure. We will have the spermogram results by the end of this week. We just need one!!!!

Best wishes to you all!

Hey Gang
I missed my u/s window of opportunity and now I do have to wait until next Tuesday!! The u/s tech for pg women is only in the RE office on Tues and when I came home today I fell fast asleep hard because I was just so tired from the night shift anyhow....by the time I called it was past the time that they do them and Now I have to wait but they would have let me come in....uugghh Sleep. I can't believe i needed sleep more than an u/s LOL Oh well. So still waiting.

Hey Literatriz
Nice to see you here girl. I am so happy that things are working out well with you and your donor and your DH! Minus the poison ivy of course. LOL So glad you stopped in.

Susan
That is so awesome! I am so thrilled for you! Welcome to preggo land!!!

Sophie
So happy for you and you did get a ton of eggs Holy Cow!!! I am thrilled for you and I am hoping that things look good for you to get your baby and bring it home!!! That is wonderful. Take it easy girl. No OHSS here. A little R and R would be in order. Again congrats on the 21 eggs!!! Totally awesome!!!

Jules
Yeah on your trigger girl. One step closer to being mama! I love dirty dancing too!!!! Ill dance with Pat!!! I didnt make the decision to transfer at blast stage. The embryologist made the decision for us. I really didnt play a part in that.

Hey Jen...
Yeah I go to ER and see if it is free but we are a busy hospital and it is not always available. I am not sure about the ovulation question. My FET was medicated so they didnt worry about it. Sorry I can't help you there.

Steph
Hang in there. That is why my clinic does not do them. She said that they do not always exactly double and people get all worked up. They are still going up quite nicely and I have found several web pages that say that they double in 2-3 days. Not necessarily just 2 days. I would totally not get worked up about it just yet. Its not like they just went up a tiny bit they went up a lot!!! You will have to wait until next week when you can really see what is going on with the dildocam.....We are rooting you on sweetie!

My lovely friends, Thank you so much for your kind and supportive words to me over the last couple of days. They have helped put things into perspective a little and I am hoping that the little one they put back on Friday is nestled into it’s new home for the next 8 ½ months. My cold and cough is stubbornly hanging around, yesterday my boss told me to take the rest of the week off (I must have looked bad…. I’ve never been told to go home before). It is also a Public Holiday on Monday so I won’t be back at work until Tuesday (test day). I asked my DH if he thinks we should do a HPT before Tuesday (I am ok waiting at this stage and figured he would agree). He surprised me and thinks we should try one Sunday…. I’m not sure if am game to or not….but I don’t know about getting a call at work on Tuesday to let me know if it is a negative…..

Sohpie – Congratulations, wow 21 eggs. You have done so well, think of the party your little one have been having over the last 24 hours !!!!!! I hope you are feeling ok and not to tender. Enjoy all those DVDs !!

Jules – I hope the trigger went well – you are almost there girl !!!!!

Tanya – Sleep / ultra sound / sleep ultra sound…. Just think next week the heart beat will be stronger and the picture clearer – it will be worth the extra week wait (opps I mean extra sleep).

Susan: CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!! another success for us May / June girls !!!!

Steph – hang in there, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope your get some positive answers soon.

Well DH has made me another lemon honey drink, we are going to curl up on the couch for the rest of the evening.

Have a nice Wednesday everyone, our Wednesday is drawing to a close, the sky was lovely and blue and I relaxed in the sun reading a book, it is just what I needed today. The Autumn leaves are falling but we have had the 2nd warmest May on record (not a single frost yet!!!!)

Only a few more days now girl! I am so excited to find out. How are you feeling? Yeah yeah I know I know I am still trying to work out an angle somewhere. LOL I am of course an HPT advocate so I am not a good choice to talk to about it. I want to know before the call. I wanted to be prepared either way however it is totally up to you and I support you either way!

Soph, what a drama for your ER! The surgeon sounds really nice and hey, if you're ever looking to have an affair in the future. . . ! Only joking, tee hee. Why no anaesthetic? You're brave. I like having a sleep! Can't believe you had 21, that's really loads, aren't you terribly bloated? When I got 16 last time I looked preggers and they were worried they might have over stimmulated me. I think I've less this time but since the quality wasn't fab for a lot of them last time I'm hoping they're good 'ns. Not long til I find out now. I took your advice and rearranged my hair appointment for Sunday. I love that I can ask daft questions like that to you guys since I can't ask any of my pals anything about this as they don't know we're doing it. It's good to have ivf cyber buddies! Thanks for doing the list so well, I'm proud to have moved up it to my new status of egg retrieval!

Jen, glad you liked the video! I thought it was hilarious. Dirty Dancing is one of my faves too and since I was around 15 when it was out me and my friend knew every line. I though Ducky Dancing was absolutely hilarious! Araid I'm not up on the whole FET process, maybe they can tell by the US???

Literatriz, that's very exciting that you're on your way. How does it work? Do you meet the donor? What do you know about her? When is it you go to Brazil? Will you do any vacation stuff while you're there? I wish you lots of luck. Yes I was the moody imbalanced one last week! I've been absolutely fine ever since I'm glad to say. I don't know how many eggs til tomorrow, last time I got 16 or are you thinking of Sophie and her amazing 21?!

Tanya, still waiting! You've another 8 months of that to do! What a lovely wait that must be. Hope I'm joining you soon.

Arizonakiwi, glad you're feeling more positive. You test Tuesday? That's gone fast. What you going to do with your time off? Let us know if you go for the HPT. I think I will this time, we'll see. So weird you're day ends as mine begins and you're waiting for winter while I wait for summer.

Well I triggered last night and now I wait til tomorrow for my ER. Bring it on! My tummy's less uncomfortable already which is good. Have a good day all.
