Thanks everyone. They PMA is through the ROOF today!!

Lisa I echo what has been said- you gotta rest that day girl. The day of my ET I walked about 4 steps to the car, 30 feet from the car to my couch and didn't move again except to get up and pee one time. You have to stay in a reclining position for 24 hours- even sleep!

Helen You were posting the same time as me! CONGRATS! I did a day5 so I'm not sure but I think 10 and 11 cell on day 3 sounds really fabulous! I think 8 is normal~!!!! Good for you.
I have not a single doubt that your two embies will progress to 8 cells. My dr told me we wouldnt have a single frostie and they called the next day with three!
What a great report! you go girl!!

Thanks for all of the PMA ladies...i guess i have to have it out with dh tonight and tell him how i really feel asap before it turns ugly and ruins my chances of a BFP. i just can't be stressed! i am, however, jealous that many of your dh's are so incredibly sweet. mine is too, he just doesn't GET IT right now!

dogz- that is AWESOME! i knew it would be great news! now you need to let it sink in! :)

as for those of you talking about bed rest for twenty four hours or more after an ET....not to freak you out, but my doc said that's ridiculous. i rested at the hospital for 30 min and then he let me walk home 10 blocks. he told me that your body will either respond and it will stick and progress or it won't.... lying down didn't make a difference. maybe it's different depending on the male/female factor? just wondering.

Sounds like there are some positive vibes resurfacing on the board!
Enjoy your day! PMA, PMA, PMA!

Congrats DOGZ! Really happy for you take a deep breath and try to find away to celebrate..this is really happening for you :D

I have been off this board for a week and a half, took a family trip to the middle of no where with no computers. It will take me that long to catch up

CT_Michelle: Can you add me to your list...I started Lupron on 7/27 start stims on 8/7 and targeting ER on 8/17 or 8/18.

Hoping to catch up enough to someday do some personals, but this is such a fast moving message board and my first time doing both (IVF and Message Board member).

Hi Ladies! First let me apologize for not posting earlier. I have been a bit of a wreck since Thurs baby shower and general break down. I have been reading all of your posts and they really helped me through the hardest waiting days of Fri and Sat. Thanks for all the PMA and support!!! I would not have made it through without you all!

So,AFM: unfortunately, Sunday got a BFN...Hcg of 1.7 (if you thought yours was low!) and they wanted me to come in again Tues to retest, but I started bleeding and AF cramps last night, so called my RE, and she said no need to retest unless AF doesn't come fully now. I'm definitely disappointed, but not so surprised. I guess it helps to be prepared for the worst.

Anyway, I will now focus on all the wonderful things I can do for the next few months: planning my wedding in Oct (to think I was worried about being "too" pregnant in my wedding this year...LOL), training for a half marathon, finishing painting the house, eating sushi and wine-tasting on our honeymoon in Italy. I am blessed with a lot of wonderful things in my life now.

And, I'll be back in Oct/Nov cycle to try again!!! I know you will all be BFP by then, but just in case, look out for me on that board.

A few personals:

cheeky: thank you for all the encouragement, and please keep up the PMA for your upcoming FET. I know you will get a BFP next time, and I'll be thinking of you!

lw: good luck on beta! I agree and am relieved to hear that lack of symptoms doesn't mean anything. Can't wait to hear your BFP!

dogz/beth: I am so happy for you both! I know your levels will look great today. Keep up the PMA!

marymegan/julienurse
: welcome to this fantastic board! I agree with the discussion around embryos. They are each individual and the ones that make it are the ones that count!

babies: thanks so much for your support! Friday and your BFP will be here before you know it. I agree with dogz, I wouldn't POAS before, the next few days will be hard enough to get through, if you get a false negative.

lw: good luck on beta! You will get a BFP!! I am thinking of you!

michele: congrats on AF and good luck with your FET! Thanks for keeping the posts going and being great support. Unfortunately, you can move me to the BFN category (until Nov, I hope!).

For everyone mid-stim and waiting to stim....lots of luck and sticky baby dust to you! Here's hoping your shots will be painless, symptoms mild, and you will get lots of sticky, hearty little embies and BFPs!

Cheers,
Amanda  [/b]

Congrats Dogz!!! :D Now maybe your good fortune will wear off on the rest of us.

BTW, my Dr. advises "Couch Potatoing" the day of ET. So that's why I wondered if sitting around as much as possible equals that. I guess we will just have to figure it out if we get there. Let hope for Tuesday ER and then I will have all weekend to rest!

thanks dogz! I'm actually at PFC in SF. We've been through two cycles w/Dr.Ryan there. I'm thinking about whether we should change for next one, but not sure that will make a difference. I'm in East Bay, where r u?

Also, I'm thinking about starting acupuncture now to get ready for Oct/Nov. let me know if anyone has advice/experience with that.

Thx!

amanda - RSC has 3 centers, one in S.F., one in San Jose, and one in San Ramon. San Ramon is closest to me (I live in Modesto now, but we lived in the bay area before), so that's where I've been. If you're thinking of switching, I'd check them out. Everyone on staff there is so wonderful, and I LOVE my doctor. :D

Wow, I have A LOT of catching up to do!

Amanda- I am so sorry to hear about your bfn. It sounds like you have some wonderful things to do and keep busy with over the next few months. we will all still be here to support you for your next try in october.

Cheeky- I am also sorry to hear about your bfn. I will be looking forward to following your journey in september. I have already joined that thread preparing for a possible delay, and there are some people over there I have cycled with before that I want to support.

Helen- Congrats on your ET. Try to relax and I am sending you lots of sticky dust!

Sunny- I am sorry to hear about dh not doing what he should...don't dh's know that it is ALL ABOUT US! Hopefully he will get with it and start doing that laundry and watering the plants! Really...is that so much to ask? I guess boys will be boys...if I didn't leave lists or suggestions for my dh, he would play video games all day.

Beth- any 3rd beta numbers? I am waiting to hear.

Marymeghan and Julie Nurse- welcome. I noticed the june/july thread was slowing down, that tends to happen as people move on, but I am glad you both joined us...congrats on ET and sticky dust to both of you!

Babies- (and marymeg and Julie)- I was told that for some women, their body is the best incubator. My RE does 3 day transfers over 5 days, he said the only time he does a 5 day is when there are a lot of embies and they need to let them grow for selection purposed only. He said he has had many women who have done 5 day transfer at other clinics, get bfn's and then they come to him and get bfp with a 3 day. So I wouldn't worry too much.

Faith- I totally sympathize with you. I am in the same boat right now, and have been for months. E2 is too high, i am anxiously waiting for my last chance phone call. If the e2 is down today, I can continue for august, if not, delayed again. It totally sucks and I am sending you big hugs.

lw- beta in 2 days...how exciting! Hang in there!

gi- I am still doing the af dance for you...but my feet are getting tired, she better show! lol

dogz- awesome 3rd beta...you need to give in and accept it...YOU ARE PREGNANT! Congrats and enjoy it!

Lisa- if you have ER on monday, a 5 day should be on saturday. But if it is on friday, you should not be at the wedding, sorry, I know that is not what you want to hear. ET day should be like a snow day, hanging on the couch, relaxing. I am sure RE will say the same if you ask him.

Katie- I hear ya on the lawn. Actually, I am so fed up with it, I just hired a landscaper...I say..."haha lawn...you're not my problem anymore!"

AFM- just sitting here staring at the phone waiting for it to ring. I should know the fate of august cycle in less than an hour, pray for low e2 ladies! I will post when I know.

Acupuncture

Post by tryn4#2 »

amandas05: I started acupuncture 2 months before my first IVF cycle and I got a BFP. I started again in June for my current IVF cycle and I'm hoping for the same thing.

I cannot say IVF was the key to my BFP but I do believe it helped.

Hi all-

I got my results and they're the same as on friday - beta of 45. They even ran it twice to check. My RE is going to call me later, but he'll probably tell me to stop the progesterone and wait for my period to start.

I am pretty discouraged right now, but I know I just need to be like that and then I'll feel better. We'll move on to try FET in another cycle or two, and if need be, ready to do another fresh cycle in January. (We're in a shared-risk program, so we prepaid a fee for 4 fresh cycles plus any related FETs.)

Dogz - happy BFP - it really truly is positive!

And my heart will continue to be with everyone on the board - hope to see some of you coming up with BFPs soon, and I'll be back on a later cycle.
