My DH & I have been TTC since April 2005 - so we know how hard it can be but being a member of a board particularly this one has helped me to be inspired & get excited about upcoming dreams coming true! Going for Baby #2 shortly . . .

have to do a hysteroscopy of Friday . . . RE found something on my saline ultrasound, so we're going in to get rid of what ever's not supposed to be there . . . and to complicate matters, I have a corpus luteum hanging around . . . hopefully, it gets absorbed by my body, or my cycle gets pushed back to next month . . .

excited, scared, anxious, hopeful to try for Baby #2 . . .

KatieB - I'm glad you are getting excited about your ET. I always get excited, even though I'm terrified. I have about another 2 weeks until I start stimming - I'm getting excited already!

Hot Green Tea (Sherry) - welcome! I'm sorry you have been TTC so long. Hopefully this will be it for you! I know how you feel - sometimes I feel like if I frequent too frequently I get more and more obsessed.... but I need somewhere to vent and it's so nice to get to know other people in your shoes who understand more than anyone in real life.

nwquiz- sorry your clinic is also annoying about sitting out a cycle. Ugh. Well, at least this way we get to be cycle buddies!

NancyB - you are an incredibly strong woman. I avoid going to visit friends at the hospital with their newborns (especially the hospital where I delivered my twins). Congrats to your brother and hopefully you will be next. I know exactly what you mean also - I would never wish this infertility nightmare on my worst enemy - but it really bugs me that people don't understand.

Tiger - my favorite part was being away. Away from everything. Aaaahhhh, so nice. I'm really feeling down now that I'm back at work... Congrats on getting AF (when you wanted her!)

deftonesmo - hi! Welcome. Baby #2 - how exciting! I see in your siggy that you had hydrosalpinx - I'm having an HSG tomorrow to check and see if I have that problem (we use IVF/ICSI because of male factor, but after so many failed cycles, the RE wants to check that my tubes are okay because hydrosalpinx can severely lower pregnancy rates even in IVF).

AFM - HSG is tomorrow (which means I had to have a blood hcg test today - BFN --- no f*cking surprise, but I had beeen hoping for a miracle). I've gotten conflicting reports on the pain - some say it's totally fine and others say it's awful! I'll find out tomorrow morning, I guess. More bad news though, I broke a filling, so I have to see the dentist tomorrow afternoon ---- what a sucky day....

Also, I suffer from major depression but I've been stable on my meds for a few years. Suddenly, I feel like I'm having a depressive episode. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I'm sad and moody, I keep crying for no reason, I can't concentrate, sexual drive is gone, I can't remember things --- so I called my psychiatrist for an emergency check-up. The soonest he can see me is next Thursday. UGH! I'm already on my 'high' does of meds, so I can't try to self medicate. I have a few sleeping pills lying around, I'll try to see if that helps tonight. The depression is not caused by the IF, but things in my life sucking definitely don't help. I've explained to DH how I'm feeling so he understands. I'll get through this (I've had worse episodes in the past), but this sucks....

Leora-So sorry you are goign through all that. These IF problems defnitely don't help for sure.

NancyB- Your so right. I have my friends who get upset that I haven't come over to hang out with their babies. They constantly say come over and hang out. They just don't get it that it's hard, they mean well though.

Nwquiz- Your cycle will be here before you know it. It's definitely your turn to get that BFP.

My beta is 1/28. But I"m pretty sure I'll cave in and test early this time.

Did any of you do just bcp for suppression? I just realized that I won't be doing Lupron like most women. Tomorrow is my suppression check. I assume I will have a bleed after I stop the bcp before I start injects?

Sherry - I am on the Antagonist protocol...is that what you are doing? I do BCP and when I stop I get AF and start stims. No Lupron.


AFM - My past few cycles have went fine as far as follicles, lining etc. I have been on same dose 450 Gonal F with 150 menupur and have done shots for 14 nights each time. 2 times I had bleeding and I had to take estrodial which they say to use vaginally, but if bleeding I just took it orally. RE says it absorbs better vaginally. They did not give me the esrodial until I complained about bleeding not going away so usually day 6 or 7. This time he started me on it on day 1. I started off doing it vaginally most of the time. On day 6 my E2 was 1680 so he decreased my Gonal to 300. I have never been decreased before. Also started Cetrotide to prevent ovulation, which in my opinion was way too early for me. Anyway, on day 8 my E2 dropped to 450. I figured it was due to the Cetrotide since I heard it causes a drop in E2. Well today,day 8, my E2 was only 318. This has never happened before, and of course it's a holiday so I did not get to speak to my regular nurse. The nurse said the RE was monitoring the drop and concerned and would probably contact me himself later in the week. Why? To cancel me? Now it's driving me crazy! I have been taking the Estrodial orally the past couple of days because the blue discharge is gross. I am now thinking it may be because of that? Or because he dropped my Gonal to 300 and I should have stayed at 450. Now I want to increase my dose! Am I the only crazy person here who thinks they should self medicate??? I called to talk to him and of course the slob at the desk said he was not in and I could wait til tomorrow if it is just about dosage questions. I did 9 nights of stims and I probably only did those stupid pills vaginally 4 of the nights. I really think he should have left my 450 dose alone and I would be fine. Also follicles are around 9 mm today which is normal for me at this time. The US tech asked if I still had AF. I said no, not since Wednesday. She said there was some fluid. They do not say much! Fluid means what????

I suppose I am on the same protocol as I am on bcp only and no Lupron. (I had to take 6 months' worth of Lupron three years ago for my endo and it was not fun!)

Are there pros and cons to doing it this way?

kynlee - doing AF dance for you just in the right pace so that you get it right on the time that is convenient for you..

leoria - great snaps!! looks like you guys had an awesome time..sorry to hear that you are feeling a lil low.. it happens to me sometime after a great vacation , as i would suddenly have some me time to feed my -ve thoughts.. sending lot of PMA your way….how was your HSG? i had done it a few years ago..it was very painful for me..but it lasted only for 3-4 seconds..i started screaming, and even before i could complete my screaming, it was over..

kat and krcaja - woohoo…welcome to PUPO club..i really need some more company…

kat - regarding HCG leaving my system..i took a test on last thursday, 2 days after my transfer, and didn't see even a faint +..

hotgreentea - welcome..good luck on your cycle..i didn't take lupin for my cycle, only bcp..

rio - yet..good to hear that your baby put on some action for you on U/S..and hope you sorted out the drama at home..

lauren - i am sorry i dnt have a clue about all these levels..i try to stay away from all the readings..but i know you will be in 1 hell now with so many questions in your mind..i hope you get your answers soon and your cycle turns out to be well..praying for you…

afm - did a test last week to make sure that the trigger shot is out of my system..and took 1 more today,BFN as expected..i have stocked up 25 cheapie tests from amazon for my POAS addiction..will be testing daily till i see a BFP…i guess im 6dpt today? or is it 7dpt? my transfer was on last tuesday.. i really hope to see an extra line on 9 or 10dpt..

I just had my 1st transfer today. We were able to transfer four embryos. We are hopeful but cautious. I am 43 & have not read of too much success at my age.

weird fact: i have as many follicles now before stims than I did with stims... maybe DD told my ovaries to kick it up a nptch while she was in there

Hi ladies,

Quick update. Went in for u/s and baselines today and got the green light to start stims...yay! RE said pockets of fluid in ovary still there and no smaller and could create some issues for the retrieval. Optimally, they don't want to rupture them for fear of infection, but they may need to in order to retrieve good follies. So, fingers crossed that part works out. But otherwise I'm ready to move forward. Yippee!

Hope - did my first Follistim pen earlier today and did the same thing. Psyched myself out...and turned out to be easier than the Lupron. I read your post and was laughing since I just went through the same.

Leora - hope you are having fun in Greece!

Love to read everyone's posts. I don't have much experience or clue what half of the stuff means (yet) but I still love sharing your stories. Keep positive and keep sharing!

Hi everyone!!!

I just heard from my RE one of the three remaining blastocysts made it to freezing so we have 1 frozen embie. As for my first beta, it is scheduled for 1/28. I am not sure if I can stand doing a HP test as I had so many failed IUI's and totally fell off the wagon with every negative I got. I was wondering about eating pineapple. I saw someone mention about eating it. Can someone please explain. I am going to the acupuncturist tomorrow and can grab some pineapple too if that will help!

Leora- I just wanted to take the time to say I know how you feel very well. I too have had my share of depression. is it ok for me to send you a PM about some things that I have done that have really worked for me. I know how hard it is to "stay afloat" when it feels as if everything is not only sinking but you feel like its in slow motion. hang in there and let me know if you would like to hear what i've done and still do.

for all my PUPO ladies...PMA to all and please let me know any and all info you have on getting these babies to stick and stick deep!!!!
