Kynlee - unfortunately there is not much you can take. At this early point in your pregnancy, you really are limited to just regular Tylenol and benadryl. A humidifier will also help, as will saline nasal sprays and nose strips.

Dogzrule- Thats what i figured Was hoping there was something lol I do have nose strips so Ill try them I been eating cough drops to soothe my throat but Ill be fine

kynlee - I think you can take Claritin and Zyrtec too. Zyrtec is category B and I have tAken it all through my pregnancy, from the beginning with clinic's approval. Pretty sure all category A and B drugs are OK.

kerpupples- Thank you I will double check in the morning, I thought my last cycle during 2ww they said i could take something but wasnt sure... I been filling up on fluids but I think its allergies and not a nasal infection we shall see

Ninde, of course you weren't rude when you said not to disappear. I'd totally feel like an idiot, using your daily support then rushing off the minute it's good news for me. I want to and I WILL get to cheer you on too. Also, for me it's different because with a history of PTL we can't relax for example right after 12 weeks like many other women can with simpler pregnancies.
Sorry about the arthritis! How are you now? And yes, I love biology. I think a lot like your profession it's more than just work...

Kynlee - sorry about your allergies, and also for not knowing anything about what you should and shouldn't take...how is it going now? Well Wednesday's U/S will be here before you know it just like you always say!!!

Tiger – Congrats on your third fabulous beta!!! About how to tell DH family about the bean when they're out of town…it's complicated. We waited for a long time the first time and will probably wait even longer this time around , if everything goes okay. Maybe a card letting them know about a certain date a new family member will join you all and will ask this or that special dish from his grandma?

POCOS – I hope you are feeling better. The first 2 fresh cycles I had 20 something eggs both times had OHSS. It was worse the time we got pregnant, and it is pretty bad this time around even though I "only" had 19 eggs. It's impossible to sleep on the side and nothing seems to help but time. It is painful but since it can be a symptom that things worked, I live with it…it does subside and then if you're pregnant you get to enjoy your belly and maybe a new dress to show it off! Then it will be a round belly from all the right reasons!

Christy - your neighbors are unbelievable. Okay to complain, but why not come over and talk it over in a civilized manner, especially since they know you and there aren't many houses where you live? Unbelievable.

Blue - I used the sauna sometimes when I lived in Scandinavia for a few years. I particularly loved the Finnish sauna, and their custom of jumping into the cold lake in between. But I never was a fan of getting undressed with my ex's entire family. That was too much and we used it in when we were just the 2 of us.

AFM - Am a bit concerned because the doubling time was after all 55 hours...Scheduled for an U/S August 8!!! The secretary sounds like a person with dangerous mood swings so she was alright this time when I called to schedule I guess. Seems like a new 2WW to me Ugh.

Kay- I hear ya! No way could I undress with dh family! I use the sauna after every workout at the gym. I use it 3-4 times per week for 20-30 minutes. The data is scarce regarding safety for pregnancy. Most data is for hot tubs which is very different and much more dangerous. The Finns use the sauna regularly even thru pregnancy and may even deliver in it. They have some of the lowest miscarriage rates in the world. I would love to see more research looking at saunas, both wet and dry.

Blue - if i remember it right, it is believed that water with direct contact to the mom's body (belly naturally) is the damaging factor and that this is why women in countries such as Finland continue to use the sauna even when pregnant. The key word is 'continue', because it can damage anybody who isn't used to these high temperatures, so just like workout, one should only do it if used to it before. When it comes to the low miscarriage rate in Finland..they are pretty impressive in many areas (such as education) and sauna there is referred to as a place of serenity etc...

CRASHING
If I'm not mistaken, it's 2:15am Monday by Leora. She was having an ultrasound on Monday, right?? But, no Sonya-you're def not the only one!!!!!

Kay- Yeah, and some of the data people throw around saying saunas are bad for pregnancy use fevers as a reference. There is a huge difference between having a fever, using a hot tub, and using a sauna. Definitely agree about doing what is normal for your body. That's why I will keep running and working out until my body says no more. Hot tubs and baths are bad because the body can't cool itself and the core temp rises. The sauna is different because the body is able to cool itself through the sweating. I'm so glad to have someone else who uses the sauna to talk with! How are you feeling?

Patricia- The injections are fine. I'm getting a little crampy but it is hard to tell what is from my period and what is from the shots. I'm having a period from stopping the bcp. Hopefully it will stop soon. I was able to run today without any trouble.

Always- That is really early for a u/s. I can't imagine that you are going to see anything. Doesn't the beta have to be over 2000 or something like that for a sac to be visible?

Kynlee- Sorry about the allergies. I hope it subsides soon.

AFM- Day 3 of stims today. They are ok. I'm getting crampy but also crampy from having a period. I ran 10.4 miles today and was fine. I ran until I noticed the cramps increasing then stopped to walk. Overall it was good. My accupunturist said from a TCM standpoint there isn't anything wrong with continuing with my workout program during stims, it's the time after transfer that they want a calm uterus. It's funny how each philosophy has such differing views. I think the only one I'm going to listen to is my body. It's pretty good at telling me what to and not to do.

Blue-I think the nurse screwed up, I think I only have blood work. That would not make any sense to me.
