hi ladies

Looks like i'll need to find another thread to join, went for my consultation at the private clinic yesterday to find out about the iui. turns out i've been totally ill advised by the doctor my gp referred me to for tests. :evil:

consultant at private clinic was great but after looking at my results and my partners he said we're definately not suitable for iui but is recommending icsi but not until he has treated my endometriosis for 4 mths.

I feel numb can't believe it i know it's only another 4mths but it feels i've been waiting forever nearly a year now since i first approached my gp. Now the cost is going to spiral too. I'm so upset right now :cry: need to get home and have a good cry.

I am so sorry.. You would think that your first doctor would have done the due dillegence to make sure he was doing the right test and suggesting the right procedures..That is scarry...
You deserve the right to be mad and frustrated.. but think now you are on the right track (so even though a little delayed you are on your way)

Nicki- IUI in June/July

Jan- BFP!!!! Yeah!!!

Jackoa- on BCP for this month.. IVF consulation April 7th....Possibly 1 more IUI (this would be 4th)

Holly-

Angela- BFN - Got to take 1 month off.

Green- Recomended Icsi, instead of IUI....Endo to be treated first.

Wow Nicki, your time is coming right up girl! Hope you are getting lots of rest in preparation...eating well, etc. We're all pulling for you! :D

Angela: how are things going honey? Just think...May will be your month! I know it...

Jackoa: have you decided to do another IUI? No matter what, remember, we're here to support you!

Hi to everyone else out there on the journey with all of us.

As for me, well, I'm feeling fine...things are going well. I have another blood test on Monday morning, just before we fly out to the Dominican Republic for a long awaited vacation!! 8) My clinic has also scheduled me for a 6 week U/S on April 30th, just after we get back. So, we're really just holding our breath until then.

Take care and talk to you all in a couple weeks.

Hello all
OK so we had the IVF consulation and we are starting in May.. I am so excited.. I am scared and nervous but also excited.. I just feel like this will be right for us.. The doctor really did not even suggest another IUI.. Which is probably best for us.. How is everyone doing....
baby dust to all....I will still be around and reading and posting.. even though I am on BCP and will be for this next cylcle the next one will hopefully be the one.....

I know I was going to post and say the same thing.. Most people are probably off work today so if they are out enjoying the nice weather they are probably not posting...

For me I am doing good.. Just finished my last BCP so as soon as AF arrieves I will start the next pack of BCP and that will be the start of my IVF.. Hopefully I will only have to do just the one IVF.. I pray that it takes and I have lots of sticky baby dust for that month... I am excited but nervuos..

I hope everyone is well...

This thread has been really quiet... I think everyone has moved on. I am staring IVF this month.. I am neveous but excited...

Hi - Can I join the IUI girls? I just received the results of our first IUI attempt - negative. We were advised to take this month off due to the still large size of a follicle on my left ovary and to start up again next cycle. Dang, I can see how this could drag on and on...

It's discouraging that it didn't work the first time, but not terribly surprising given the 20 chance. My DH is staying very positive and we are hopeful but feeling the need to grieve a little also.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!
