Wow! There is a lot happening over here. It seems as if everyone is moving right along.

I have my bw and us and praying for good news. During my last visit on Wednesday, the doctor said that "nothing was brewing yet". I know that I stim kinda slow, but c'mon.

Jsm-I think 9 is pretty good. I got 9 the last time.

Hopeful-I love your term "totsicles"

Hoping for a holiday present for all of us....

I have just returned from my docs and i had another scan, my follies look so big its scary. I have my trigger shot tonight tonight at 8.30 and retrival on monday. I am praying that i am not going to suffer from OHSS again. I asked the doc and he said its possible but no way of knowing. Has anyone been given any tips on how to avoid it?

KF06 i asked him what is the number of follies he prefers to get and he said between 10-12 so to him you are perfect so don't worry. :)

Wannababy good luck doing your PIO shot. What is this shot for? Is it stimming, progesterone or trigger? Hope all goes well for you.

Angellica i am sorry but not sure about your cream but i remember those horrible pessaries  How on earth are you coping with that many follies i am finding it a little uncomfortable with 22. Thanks for sending the healing i will beam some back to you. I am going to get MIL to give me some healing tonight. She is going back to england tomorrow to stansted hall for a trance healing course so i will definatly be using her when she comes back :)
Thinking of everyone else.

Wannababy-thanks for reassurance. I am really just trying to go with the flow of things and not get upset about "what ifs". I will find our for sure tomorrow at my appt.

Good luck to you at your appt. Hopefully you will have a lot "brewing" at this point!

Ellie-I'll be thinking of you on Monday!!! Can't wait to hear your update.

Hopeful-Good luck with your pio, too. Tell me more about that.

Until later-Jill

I had my bw and us this morning. Not very good--the doctor says pending the results of my bloodwork, this cycle may have to be cancelled. I'm waiting for the phone call now. After 6 days of stimming, he said that I only have 4 follicles and my lining hasn't really changed. I kinda expected this for some odd reason. I'm not sure how I will feel if this is cancelled. I will keep you posted!

Got the call this am. Out of the 25, 22 were mature and 17 fertilized via ICSI. I'm pretty excited. But, I'm having a lot of discomfort and bloating!!!!!!!! I can only lay on my left side (can't breath laying on my back or right side) so didn't get a lot of sleep last night. Trying to get in all the fluids but it's hard when I feel like I am going to burst. Last time it only lasted 2 days, but my estrogen level was higher this time and he's having me do some low dose HCG shots also every 3 days times 4 to help with implantation, so this could prolong things. I went and got gatorade and protein powder to make shakes to help with things (what they recommended) Well, can't breath the greatest sitting here. Good luck to everyone's retrieval and stims coming up.

The nurse called and said that we are going to continue and "work around the cyst" which leads me to believe that this cyst is interfering big time with the egg production. I know that it has some effect, but I wasn't expecting this. I don't go back until Tuesday and hopefully I will be in better shape. I know this is premature, but I'm afraid of getting another BFN. It seems like this first part isn't going as well as we all hoped and I am concerned that it is going to carry over until the end. Ok, I'll stop whining now......

Thanks Ellicat for your support. You ladies help to make this so much more bearable!

kelly that is great news you have a great number there. hopefuuly they will be able to take them to blast so that they can pick the best two. You should be able to get some to the freezer too so that this one can have a brother or sister. The pain will pass soon.

wannababy it is only you that decide what to do. There is a lot of what ifs if the clinic feel that it is safe to continue then i would but i would ask them if it will reduce your chances. Can they remove it???? I had a disasterous FET at the beginning of the year and i have since learnt to ask questions.

Ellie best of luck with your trigger. Drink lots of water as this helps with ohss.

Hopeful dont know when ET will be depends on when i surge should be just over a week.

Meg best of luck with starting

Vickie hope EC goes ok.

Janice and tonia best of luck with ET

Jill dont worry it only takes one it just means that the embryologist has less to choose from but in a way it does not matter what quality they are as they say the best do not always implant and some that are fragmented do so in a way there is no ryme or reason to it.

Kristen it will be over soon. Hang on in there.

Angellica hope you are still drinking loads!!!!!!!

hope everyone else are doing ok

enjoy your weekend

Thank you, everybody, for your kind words. I keep saying to myself that quality is what really matters. I hope mine are good quality.
I had bw and us done today (I have several that are 18-19.5mm and several over 15mm, one was still 11mm) and I'm doing my trigger shot tonight at 10pm and then having my retrieval on Monday at 8.30 am. :)
***
Ellie, I'll be thinking about you. I hope your retrieval goes well and you don't get OHSS! I feel uncomfortable with my 11 follies, I can't even imagine how you feel with your quantity!!!
***
Vickie, how did your EC go?
***
hopeful-in-LV, good luck with your PIO shot!
***
Kelly, 17 fertilized - that's great! :)
***
Jill, I also don't have many big ones. When the doc was counting, it looked like I had 6 or 7 that were good size. I just hope that they will be good quality eggs.
***
Sorry, I have to go. I know I missed a lot of people. Best wishes to everybody! :)

KF'06- Great news about your EC being Monday, hoping you get a good number.

Ellie- Thinking of you for Monday.

Kelly- great fertilisation rate. No wonder you're excited. Take it easy, rest and keep drinking. hope the breathing improves and you get some sleep soon.

Vicky- hope today went well. Been thinking of you.

Hopeful- Can understand that your a bit concerned about doing jab yourself. Not sure what PIO shot is, but if its Inramuscular can you not give it in your thigh? Hope it goes ok whatever you decide. I do mine myself but they are only sub-cut.

Kirstin- How are you today? Are you having terrible side effects from the stimming? Thinking of you and remember this won't be for much longer, and it willbe worth it in the end.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all those who responded to mine concern last night. You really helped me to chill out and just try and get on with it. Not sure how I go through my lastcycle without you all!

sigh, I am resigned to the fact that I will do my PIO shot by myself. To those who asked, it's progesterone in oil. It's neccessary for the quality of the linning. When doing the shot, it needs a little more attention because of the thickness of the fluid. which also seems to make it more uncomfortable going in and afterwards. It is an IM shot so it going to be tough watching the needle go in me. And I guess it always must be done in the butt. I've never had to do a shot for myself, so tonight should be interesting.

wannababy, good luck. glad you get to continue. I'm still doing the follie dance! Image

Jill, doing the follie dance for you too. Good luck!

KF'06 and Ellie, Good luck with ER! I'll be thinking of you.
