Lou - I don't have a ton of experience with being faced with a canceled cycle that has never been our problem - keeping them is our problem. But heres my two cents anyways - I am a rooter for the under dog I always choose the least likely and am proud when whatever it is succeeds so I think if I was you I would go for it - we did so many IUI's & none of them worked - but with each IVF we have gotten a BFP (I know my circumstances are different) but my RE told me he has seen the worst quality eggs with older parents (funny we are "older" I think of my self as so young) and put in 3 or 4 with low success rates & low & behold out came a perfectly healthy baby. So if I were you & I had come this far - I would do it!!! And we are all behind you praying for sticky babies. I would take a few days after transfer & really lay low so those little guys have enough time to find their home for the next 9 Months ;-)

Darlene - My RE told me to eat, drink & take medications as if I was pregnant each meal should contain a balanced portion of proteins, fats, carbs & veggies - no OTC drugs except tylenol and whatever else you RE recommends. I did try to get a little fresh air & exercise everyday - just walking etc.... but take care of those babies you are brewing! Also I think acupuncture is extremely helpful.

Hope - We had 10 follies on last cycle on day 3 or 4 (can't remember) an on RT day we had 17 - 13 viable then 8 fertilized and all made it to 5 day blast & 2 transferred=BFP (MC later :-() and 6 on ice.

Krcaja - I don't know about the pineapple but my RE told me to eat a balanced diet - see above. Lots of green leafy veggies & most importantly lots of WATER! Also the acupuncture that I think you already do is great -

Nwquiz - Doing the Aunt Flo dance for you! Dancing like a crazy person - me & my DD are dancing around the house she doesn't know why but we are having fun!!! Come on Aunt Flo!

Margi - Where are you???? Are you OK? How did your WTF go?

Everyone else who I missed where ever you are in your cycle remember that we are strong powerful women and we can do this to achieve our dreams. My sweet MIL who adopted my hubby used to say to him that he was chosen & all those other mommies they were stuck with their children. I feel like we are choosing our kiddos too since we have to go through all this BS to get them. And with each loss I just think OK pick myself up off the floor & get ready for another round, that was just not my baby the next one IS my baby. You are all in my thoughts & prayers each night & even though I have my absences I am thinking about you all each day. Now lets go make some babies!

AFM - I had some blood tests last week to confirm my HCG was lowering it was at 8 (down from 5221 two weeks ago) so that is good & RE is confident it will be completely down by the time we start to get ready for FET on 2/15. Also had my prolactin tested it was up to 36.5 so back on the bromocriptine for me I thought I finally escaped that part of my life!! ARRGGGHHH - he also tested for some other things
Lupus Anticogulant Panel = not detected
Cardiolipin Antibody = negative
B2Glycoprotein = negative
Anybody ever hear of these? One was done on my DH I think it was the last one. Something about if you are positive for any of these or there is some detection of it in your blood it can cause re-current miscarriages - happy we are OK with all these but WHY wouldn't they do this BEFORE we had IVF AGAIN????????????????? WTF - even though they are all negative don't ya all think this might have been something they would have tested me before we spent 20K????????????
Anyways we are happy & now we are getting more confident than ever for this next cycle - the FET rates for my clinic are about the same as fresh cycles so that is giving us hope too. I start working the Sundance Film Festival on Friday so I will be in and out for the next 10 days but I will try to catch up

Sunshine- Good luck with the surgery

CjinNC- have you started POAS yet?

LOU- I would go for the IVF but I am a all or nothing kinda of girl. :) Which ever one you decide to do we will all be here to support you.

Nwquiz- My DH & I have a happy dance we did today so I will just add a few moves for the AF dance for you.

AFM; Today is day 5 of stims and we have 6 follicles so far. One is 16 an the other ones are at 9 and they are all on the left ovary since the right is just a partial ovary. The nurse said we are looking good so far and she believes we will have more to pop up before ER.

Leora – yup, I hear you sister…being away is the best part. I always like not having to worry about what time it is when on vacation. No schedule, no phone. I’m so sorry to hear that your down. But, I’m hopeful that talking to your phych will be helpful, why are they always busy when you need them! You can always vent here.

Kat – 10 more days! That’s exciting! I love POAS!

Lauren – I have read from a few ladies on here that definitely know their bodies better than the docs that have done a little tinkering here and there. Although, it’s probably not a good thing. All we can trust is that our RE’s know what the heck they are doing. However, I’m pretty frustrated reading what you are going through. I hope they have good answers for you!

Sunshine – YES! I love POAS addicts. I really am hoping for your BFP!

Darlene – PUPO = pregnant until proven otherwise; welcome and congrats! I think staying away from alcohol and caffeine is a good idea.

Kimber – congrats on getting the green light!!! How exciting!

Krcaja – there is some good vitamins in the core of the pineapple…I’m spacing on it now. Ah yes, thank you Carol, that Bromelain….

Lou – how is DH sperm? I would have his motility checked before making your decision to switch to IUI. If his motility and sperm count are good, maybe try IUI?

HopeIsall- 10 is a great number. You shouldn’t be discouraged at all. Each day, they grow between 1-3 mm, so in 2-3 more days, you could be ready to go! Which would be 7 days of stimming. Anywhere from 6-11 days of stim seems normal from what I’ve read through the boards, not an expert by any means, but I think you’re doing great!

Carol – It’s just such a unique deal with how many are mature. I’ve seen only 1 or 2 not be mature from women on the board to sometimes half. I’m not sure statistically, I’m sure if you Google it, there may be something, but it’s just different for everyone.

Katie – I’m glad that all of those tests came back negative, but yes, wtf, hello, tests before! I’m with you all the way!

Amanda – congrats on the great cycle so far! You’ll be triggering soon!

AFM: So, I had just the worst day yesterday and all I wanted to do was get on this board and talk to all of you! But, too busy…ugh. So, I had my base u/S yesterday and everything was perfect. I was having such a great day. I logged onto the sperm bank to order the sperm and my perfect donor was gone. What…where did he go? So, I called the sperm bank and he’s no longer in the program. WTF. Here I am freaking out…I mean…what are we going to do! Called DH, totally panicked, then he was super bummed. So, we spent all last night looking for another donor. THIS IS THE BIGGEST DECISION EVER AND WE HAD TO FEEL RUSHED! Yuck. But, we have 2 donors that we are considering, DH likes one, I like the other…but I like both. What would you do….so, the one I like has a better pic, and by better, I say looks more like DH. The other one is smarter…that’s the one DH likes. But, to be fair, both are smart. I know I shouldn’t get caught up in the looks, but it is important for me that our child look the most like DH as possible. I just can’t believe I’m going through this right now. Not what I needed at all. Now I’m thinking, should I order more vials? Because I do not want to be in this situation again! Ugh.

Hi Girls!!! I'm Baacckkkk!!!

I hope everyone is doing well. I've missed you girls like crazy! I've missed alot. I'll have to start reading up.

Tiger! Oh, how I've missed you! I am sooo sorry that you are being rushed to pick another donor like this...how difficult of a decision it must be. I would be like you and want the one who looks most like DH and I'm actually surprised that he prefers the smarter...because really smarts come from more than just nature, ya know? Good Luck and keep us posted.

Leora...How was Greece? Welcome home...time to get you started now, too! AF is here today and my baseline is Thursday. I start meds on Saturday. So add me to the list...thanks!

For those of you whom I dont know yet...Hi and Good Luck! I am somewhat of veteran around here, unfortunately. I've been around for way too long now. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.

To all of my dear friends that I do know...Good to see some of you have moved on finally...and happy to be cycling with the rest of you again...for the last time...this is it girls...this is our time...as we are all going to be pregnant very very soon! How's that for optimism?

AFM: Long story short...went on DHEA and CoQ10...hormone levels were tested and very high after only 5 days of meds...went to endo the following week...she took me off of them. I had my records moved to the new hospital and decided to follow my regular RE there (who got us pregnant with Zach) and has been taking care of me all along and knows our case well. AF is here today, baseline is Thurs, meds start Saturday, and ER is approx Feb 1st. We decided to jump back in the game now, rather than waiting. There is just no time to waste. Hopefully, 2 weeks on DHEA and CoQ10 were enough to make a bit of a difference.

Hello Ladies! It's been a while!

I had my U/S today. My husband couldn't go because of a terrible cold and now I have it too! I went with my sister.

We heard a beautiful heart beat at 121 bpm and the doctor said everything looked great! I'm 7 weeks. He will not be seeing us anymore, and I go to my regular OBGYB next week. That heartbeat was music to my ears!. This has taken so much time and effort I still can't believe it! But it is possible!.

We had been TTC for 4 years and after our failed IVF I thought getting pregnant was almost impossible. I've been so worried waiting for this US to see that everything was fine.

Keep trying .... Don't give up!.... I wish you all the best on your journeys!

Katie - Thank you for the info. Do you know by chance when you should be doing accupuncture? Is it throughout the 2 week wait?

Tiger - Thank you so much! I am so sorry you had to go through the loss of your donor. I'm sure you will find another perfect one. Best of luck in making your decision. Try to relax. It will be OK.

Karian - Congratulations to you! You must be so happy! It's nice to see a success story. How long did you stay on the couch during your wait time? My transfer was yesterday & I so want to get off of the couch, but don't want to mess up my chances.

Thank you all so much!

Tiger - I adopted my DD and the birth parents were both very young & we did not get a lot of information from them on basically anything we were concerned that our DD would have a harder time in school if we didn't have that information and we were not so sure about them from talking to them - but she is smart as a whip - started talking in two to three word sentences before she was two and now she is talking in three & four word sentences, recognizes anything and says it - recognizes all her colors, shapes etc.... My point is that you are raising this baby you will be in charge of giving them stimulation - I totally believe in nature vs. nurture after seeing it first hand with my DD. So don't be swayed by this or that - so take a deep breath and just go with your hearts & guts & you will make the right decision.

Darlene - I think that acupuncture can be beneficial for helping the blood flow in the uterine cavity, stress & overall well being. If you have a acupuncturist you are already working with or know of one who is familiar with IF (infertility) and IVF then I would suggest going. As for staying on the couch I stayed on strict bed rest for three days last time & got a BFP this time I am going to split the difference stay on couch rest of the day of ET & the whole next day but after that I am going be cautious but move around. There is no proof that bed rest helps I think it is up to you.

Karian - I have prayed for that every single solitary month of my infertility journey I cannot say how thrilled I am to hear this wonderful wonderful news from you! Congratulations! I am so thrilled for you keep us updated every step of the way please :-)

Amanda - Congrats on the great report for stims so far!! Grow Follies Grow!!!!!

Tammy: SO glad that you are baaaaack!! I've so missed you :D :D

Ladies: I am SO sorry that I have been MIA. I need to spend some serious time reading about 8 pages to catch myself up! I was wallowing a bit in my own pity party trying to figure out what--if anything--we could do to proceed. My "secret" was that I was seriously considering going abroad for IVF. I contacted several different companies and clinics and we were going to try to figure out if we could swing one IVF cycle abroad. Then today, before my WTF session with our current RE I called the insurance company to ask about our benefits to see if anything abroad would be covered....anyway I found out the best news possible...our lifetime limit was lifted as of 2011!! (nwquiz: you were right!!) I literally cried when she told me. I made her repeat it, and I asked her about 10 questions every which way to be certain...but as of now...meds, procedures all are covered. SO I AM back on the IVF train!!! :D :D :D So, now my question is "where?" My current RE is nice and smart, but the clinic has horrible success rates. So DH says we can travel to where the good success rates are...(that take our insurance) So I am now looking from one coast to the other trying to figure out (quickly) who gets the best success with the over 40 gals like me. We didn't tell RE that part so as of now he is planning a protocol, but I don't know if I should do a cycle with him while we try to get something worked out somewhere more reliable or if we should postpone starting here so that we can more quickly get started elsewhere? I am just so happy!! I was feeling at the end of my journey after these 3 failed IUI and now I am geared up and excited to start my next IVF cycle.

I promise to get caught up and dust off my blinkies!!!

Leora: Please move me to waiting for AF...or waiting to start IVF.. :D :D

Penny: This one was a natural BFP. It was just after our failed IVF, and i'm sure that something in my body "learned" something from that cycle. When I had my transfer back in November I stayed two days in bed... but I had to go to the bathroom a lot!. Lot's of sticky baby dust for you!

AFM: Couldn't be happier! I haven't been able to sleep for the last three nights and now I feel like i'm getting a cold.... I'll try some warm milk tomorrow night and sleeping on the couch seems to help me fall asleep... so I guess I'll stick to the couch!.

hi everybody :)

Leora- hi :) can you please put me on the waiting to start IVF list ..I am starting end of Feb....so far I am on DH antibody shots...tnank you! xx

Karian- I am so happy for you!!! amazing news and experience!! :D I am looking forward my self to hear a heart beat or two soon! :D :D

Tiger- Sorry you've ;ost your SD. dont worry! remember that everything happens for a reason! the next one you will find is going to be the Right ONE!...btw I would go with the one that looks more to your DH. when the baby is born I am sure this will bring him double joy

Krija- I vote yes to pinapple! the corre vitamins will help thicken your endo lining

Katieb- Yes I've heard of these tests. done them too (all negative :D ) me RE recomended them after failing our IVF#3! he couldn't explain why it didn't work...everything went perfect, from the stim to the ET...I totally agree with you on this one! what if something was wrong with the results of the exams? shouln'd these exams where the 1st thing the RE told us to do? besides all that money we had invested in these procedures (no insurance covers IVF) there is the emotional part that is wrecking you every time the cycle ends with a BFN :( ...anyway, I am sorry I got carried away over this. this is our IVF#5 and it feels so bad when you dont get a reason for why a baby is not happening :( ...sorry again!!! I am sure this cycle is going to be the lucky one for all of us trying to conceive :D

Lou- I would personally go with the IVF. I am not an expert and each case is diferent but from doing my research, I find IVF more suitable with the MF cases. whatever you decide I wish you all the luck in the world! :D

Sunshine- I had a laparoscopic surgery and a hysteroscopic too, a year ago after my IVF#1 . during the ET my RE spotted this white fluid and so after failing IVF#1 he recomended the surgery. the fluid was coming from a small polypod and so he removed it. The surgery asach is not a big one but you need to stay home for a week after the surgery because you wont be able to stand up and walk straight. or even sit straight. but other than that having this surgery is a good thing. I know many women going through IVF or even TTC naturaly, having this surgery.Even in cases of unexplained infertility, your doctor can recomend this surgery. it is a way of seeing your insights and maybe finding whats wrong...if there is something wrong...So all the best on your surgery! I am sure everything will be fine!

No news on me yet. I am going for my 3rd andibodies shot on the 3rd of Feb and then wait for 3 weeks to make the test and see what have we accomplish with this and the following week starting 28th Feb I am starting stimulation...I am so excited! I've missed my shots! lol

so good luck to everybody in what ever phase your are at I am sure everything is going to be fine and this cycle is the Baby coming cycle for all of us! :D

Margi I am just crashing to say that I am so excited to read your post and I just know this next IVF will work for you. I am just thrilled that you get to do this and that all of the insurance crap is behind you now :D :D :D :D :D :D YAY!!!! I am always here cheering you on.

Tammy I am so excited that you are back on the train :) Good luck to you and lots of baby dust

Lou I know your question is a difficult one. I only had 4 eggs at my retrieval last summer and got 2 great embies out of it and got a bfp (even though unfortunately we m/c) so you just never know. but lots and lots of luck to you :)

Leoora I am so glad that the HSG went well. Now onto making that baby :) This will work. My mom always told me a silly saying that the sun rises just after the darkest hour of the night....I always thought "what does she know" and yet our miracle happened at a point when I was in my darkest hour so keep up the faith. With all you have been through you so deserve the happiness of holding your baby in your arms and it will happen.

Wow It will take me forever to catch up..

Deftonesmo-Good luck with your hsyterecopy. My RE made me wait a awhole cycle after mine. Is yours making you wait?

Kimber- That's awesoem you have started meds. What causes fluid in the ovaries?

Krcaja- yay it made it to blast :) They dont' have mnay hopes for my third one :(

kylnee- Hope the next 21 days flies by for you so you can start your cycle.

Lou- That's a tough decision. I'm a gambler and woudl take the risk and do IVF. Have you had good fertilization results in the past and good embryos?

Sunshine1576- I would stick with having your RE do the laparoscopy.

Leora- So happy the HSG show wide open tubes and a prefect uterus. What's a pipell biopsy? Oh and I'll be testing as soon as my test strips I ordered show up. Hopefully by Friday.

Tiger- So sorry you lost the first SD, but I am sure you will pick the right one. Everything happens for a reason.

Tammy- welcome back

Karian-I'm so happy for you :)

Hopisallihave- I'm not sure how many you should have at this point. It's pretty early still.

Margi-Glad your back and I'm so happy for you. what a reliefe that must be for you.

Darlene- when do you plan on starting to test. I think I will start Saturday. I know crazy;) lol

nwwhiz- Evryday that goes by it's closer for you to start that cycle :)

Nothing to report here really. The progesterone I think is really starting to kick in as yesterday I had plenty of energy but today I can barely keep my eyes open. I slept for 7 hours straight last night which is so rare for me. I'm so glad I dont have any pregnancy test yet or I would already be testing this time.

Sorry if I missed anyone.
