Hi Faith

Sounds like you have a very pleasant day planned! Hope you get some good stuff in the sale. My clinic always say that if your period starts before 3pm then that is day 1. Also as it continued once it had started I'm sure that is Day 1. You could mention it to them though if you are really worried.
Hope you have a lovely day. Vicky

Hi girls,
Got home about an hour ago and thought i'd pop on and let you know how it went.
All 6 of my wee embies were still doing brilliantly, the Dr said the 2 she was replacing were both Grade 1 top quality embryos, she said we couldn't have asked for better. The transfer was really quick and painless, i feel more when i go for a smear test.
So that's it, i'm finally on my 2ww. I test on the 11th July.
I'm just going to take it easy for the rest of the night in front of the telly watching my soaps and the Big Brother eviction and go back to work tomorrow. I've just phoned my boss and told her i'll be in tomorrow but will be on light duties, she said she's gonna make sure i stick to it and will slap my wrist if i don't
Gonna go lie back on the couch now.
Hope all is well with everyone and i'll catch up with you all soon.
Take care,
Lotsa love

Michelle

Hi Everyone

I've also just got back from the clinic. We had an 8 cell grade 1 and a 6 cell grade 1-2 put back. So I am very excited, DH has called them Billy & Bobby!! Couldn't he think of better names?!

Sounds like things are moving on for most of us now.

Vicky P - I know how you feel - My 'Best Friend' continues to say to me - you can look after your god children for a weekend and then you wouldn't be spending all that money on trying for a baby - they will really put you off having kids for life. But when they are with me, they are the most well behaved children around - they just play their mother up! I have said to her that if she had had the problems we have had, she wouldn't even consider saying such a thing - but it seems to go in one ear and out the other. I have just given up now, there are times when it hurts more than others, but i bite my tounge.

My younger brother got married at Christmas and his wife (who is 15 years younger than me) came back from the honeymoon pregnant. Gosh what a kick that was - they didn't plan it, they had all plans to travel etc, but they have been wonderful and sometimes too thoughful of my feelings and I feel a little left out. But I suppose that is me being too sensitive again and reading too much into things.

Anyway, I'm off now back to the sofa - Sorry I didn't mean to moan - just share the 1st bit of news!

Oh and I go back on 5th July for my test...

Take care everyone...

Congrats Michelle and Anne on your ETs - glad to hear, Michelle, that it was painless, as I've been a bit anxious about that. Don't understand how you can both have ET on the same day but test a week apart. I thought a 2ww was always the same, but is it different in some clinics? Anyhow, hope you've both got your feet up with a bit of Friday night telly to keep you occupied.

I've also just come back from the clinic and EC is now all set for Tuesday and ET on Thurs. I've got 25 follies, but at present only 6 of them are over 12cm (or is it 12mm? No idea). Still they've got 2 more days growing before the trigger injection so who knows how many I might get. We've decided to go for ICSI rather than IVF as DH's most recent sample was borderline (10% normal forms). They said it was acceptable for IVF but because the previous one wasn't they'd recommend caution. We're never doing this again, so this is our only chance of getting some good embies and I think we have to give it everything we've got.

I may disappear for a while as I've got a problem with my pc (I think it could be related to that virus message that some of us were getting a few weeks ago about Spybot - worth checking out spyware detectors, apparently). Anyway, the laptop may have to go in for repair so if I'm not around that'll be why. It's also why I haven't read all the other posts as I don't want to risk it freezing up on me again.

hope everyone's ok. I'm just so glad I'm not at Glastonbury like my neighbour.

Hello everyone

Vicky im more a July/August girl so we will probably be seeing a lot of each other on here. You were right Vicky it was me that got married. :D A party has been arranged 31st July for us, so I think we will be getting a few pressies then. Timing is a bit bad though because that’s heading towards when my EC could be, so they might be having a party without the bride and groom.
Im sorry your feeling a bit down and people are being smug, its not fair is it. I try to avoid pregnant women and babies if I can, not very easy though. My DH and I had to pop to his ex-wifes house today to collect something, she is 5 months pregnant so I thought I would stay in the car to avoid her, no such luck, she comes over to the car with her 2 year old grandson and starts chatting, arrrrr. I gritted my teeth and said all the right things.

Faith I think different clinics have different standards as to what is day 1, mine says that Day 1 is the day you wake up bleeding. I cant see that it can really make any differece though, once your AF arrives that’s it its there. I suppose they want to make sure your AF has really arrived and your not just spotting, im sure we are capable of knowing that though :!:
Hope you enjoyed the sale at House of Fraser.

Joanne Glad your treatment is going ok. Im worried about my hormones once I start mine, they are bad at the best of times

Michelle how are you feeling, hope you are managing to get some rest even though you are at work, your boss sounds fantastic, do you fancy doing a swap with mine

Anne how are Billy and Bobby, :D that made me laugh that’s so sweet. Im sure I will name mine when I get to ET.

Better go and get some tea now  and another glass of water

Hi girls,
I've not really got much to say today and not got much time just now anyways.
I took it a little easy at work yesterday, but it was hard as there is always so much to do, i just stood behind the till most of the day, we don't have seats at the tills so i was a bit sore and uncomfortable by the end of the day. Have to leave shortly to get the bus to work, Sundays aren't too bad as i only do 5 hours, just looking forward to a few days after today.
I'll pop in after work and write the personals as i don't have time now.
Take care and talk to you all later.
Lotsa love

Michelle

Sammy

hope EC is going well as I type. I'm in for mine tomorrow (wish I could be excited, I'm mostly just terrified). But I'm also scheduled for ET on Thursday so we'll be ET buddies!

Morning Everyone!

WOW! What a lot is going on here all of a sudden! Everyone seems to be going for EC / ET in the next few days!

I'm doing OK.... Injections have been fine (pretty much!) First scan and bloods tomorrow. Our appointment is 9-30 am, so we are going down to stay at my sister's in Lancashire after work, so we don't have a three hour drive in the morning. I haven't had any symtoms at all (though DH might disagree about mood swings!) so I keep thinking 'what if it's not working and nothing's happening?' Oh well, I'll find out tomorrow....!
We had a really nice weekend and I kept myself as busy as possible. I still can't quite believe we've actually started....And I still feel both excited and terrified! I know I've said it about 10 times, but I just hope against hope that we get to ET. Though if we do, of course I'm going to want more....

Caroline & Sammy - Good luck both of you with EC. Thinking of you...

Michelle - Take it easy at work! Maybe see if you can be allowed a couple of more breaks, so you don't have to be on your feet so much.

Gail - Thanks for the reassurance about AF.... Your wedding sounds fabulous. Made me laugh thinking the bride and groom might not make it to the party!

Anne - Congrats on ET. Look after Billy and Bobby!

Sorry to anyone I've missed....

I'll let you all know how we get on tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me....

Faith xx

Hello all

Lots of exciting things happening today (and this week) by the looks of things - Good luck to everyone.
I'm still waiting for AF to arrive so I can start counting to day 21 to start injections. Thought I'd read that someone else here is doing FET with drugs - can't remember who but I was wondering what the drugs were like and whether they make you feel rubbish.

Gail p - Did you get married abroad then? - Sorry I bet you've probably mentioned this on an earlier page - I'm still catching up. What an absolute pig that your DH's ex wife is pregnant - that must be really hard. Hope you don't mind me saying so. When do you think you might be at ET stage - or is it way too early to guess?

Anne - Well done & good luck. Billy & Bobby sound like eggcellent specimens!! I was interested to hear about your best friend - It's so weird isn't it how it is often the people who you'd think would be really understanding that aren't. I've calmed down a bit now - normally I just ignore silly comments (& usually think I shouldn't be so over sensitive) but there has been a spate of it recently & I was blooming sick of it!

Faith - Good luck with your appointment tomorrow - that's lucky that you have someone to stay with near the hospital. Hope it all goes well.

Caroline - 25 follicles sounds like a very good number - hope all goes well tomorrow at your EC. Are you near your hospital? - so you can go straight home and be waited on? Good Luck.

Sammy - how did it go? Hope you got lots.

Michelle - Sounds like you might be too busy to even think about those embies! Ha ha! but seriously - hope your feeing okay and that you are relaxing in the evenings.

Sandra - Hi - How are you doing.
