Hi Ladies,how are you all..

Ive been reading through the posts,and altough ive not posted ive been thinking about you all,ive had an eye infection and also tonsilitis,so its been a hard week..Hospital gave me steriod drops for my eyes and had to call my clinic and ask if i coukld take them,they advised mr to go to bed and just take paracetamol,anything else could interefere with implantation,so ive carried on even though i feel awful!!!

Anyway ive now just done my 4th night of stimming inj,and was wondering,ive read about lots of you feeling full and heavy in the ovary dept,but i feel nothing,do you think that means my follies are few and far between,im now worried sick..

Hello ladies, thanks for your support!!!, I had EC today!!, they retrieved 11 eggies, hope it is enough!!!!, I was sooo nervous before starting, but it was nothing, just feeling a little bit bloated and very mild soreness now, but tomorrow I will be back to normal I believe. They told me to drink plenty of fluids, to avoid OHSS, or at least to make it milder if it comes

KF 06, great to hear that you have appt already for your EC!!!, good luck on Monday, and today with your trigger shot!!!

Hopeful in love, I read about somebody else who was giving the shots herself, go to the thread "Progesterone Shots" that I started about one week or two ago, one of the girls told me about her experience, I guess it might help you too!!!

Wannababy, I am going to agree with everyone else, it just takes one for a BFP, so if they gave you the green light then don't worry, everything will be ok!!!!

Hopeful in love, here, I found the post where Rachel told me about giving the PIO shots herself, hope it helps

I was forced to do aome of mine on my own and this is how I survived:

I took a really hot shower (directed on my bum) and when th skin looked good and red, I jumped out, dried off, cleaned with alcohol and did the injection while looking in the mirrror. Afterward, I would lay on the bed and rub my bum with a gentle heated massager for about 10 minutes. I was fortunate that I had been somewhat prepared for the shots due to having to give myself all of the other ones on my own as well. Of, course, once hubby was in town, he had to give them to me, but we followed the same routine

That's ok, I'm in love too. Thanks for your suggestions. I'm going to try the hot shower thing. I think as long as I don't hit a blood vessel, I'll be fine. I'm counting down the hours til PIO time. Only 3 hours to go.

Glad to hear you got out of EC in good condition. Tomorrow you should feel just fine. I hope you get plenty of good quality embies. I had 11 eggs from my EC back in Aug. 9 fertilized and we got a total of 5 good quality embies. 3 of them are frosties now. But not for long!

I'm sorry you're feeling so crappy. I know the hormones are probably making it worse. I hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))
BTW, I didn't feel much until the last 2 days of stimming. The day before ER, I felt like popping. I had 13 follies and retrieved 11 eggs.

sorry you had a bad FET awhile back. What went wrong? I hope this one is much better for you.

Hey everyone, cant keep up with all the posts and people but I am half way there- started stims on 28th and having another checkup tomorrow.

My right ovary is doing all the work, I have about 9 follies but my left is totally munted and not doing anything. Doctor wants to see 10-15 but that not looking possible at this stage. Hoping that the right side has lots of quality on it. I am expecting my EC on Thursday.

Trying to stay positive, but not manic and excited, and trying to ignore the hormonal mood swings and floods of tears brought on by the slightest hiccup. Hating the injections, they have upped my dosage but not the dillutent and it stings like crazy. Hubby decided to put one in above my fat roll (to aviod fat necrosis - he is obsessed with it) and I just about punched him.

Congrats to all of you (too many to remember) that have had such a successful and bountiful harvest and hang in there everyone else.

Casey P thanks for asking. I feel pain in my stomach. It is hard to walk. I feel fat. I can't stand that feeling because I was on a diet before I started IVF and lost 28 lbs now I'm up 3 lbs and find it hard to eat well. I feel like I have cravings for food. The shots are really getting to me. I want to stab my DH right back. He pricked himself with a needle tonight when he was trying to put the cap back on and started crying and freaking out. I think I'm just on edge and can't wait till this is behind me. I did not realize in the beginning how much we all are going through. I'm just burnt out. I am going to the Dr in the morning. We will see how they look. I'm going to try to count with him to see how many follies I have. He doesn't really say to much to me. I hope everything is right on track. I would hope he would tell me if it wasn't. It feels so good to talk to all you guys on this message board. Thank's so much for listening to me. Sending lots of baby dust to you all.

Kristin, try to relax, this is almost over, I know it is hard, but just think that the end of this is a beautiful baby, so think of that and you'll see that you won't hate the injections as much

Hopeful With my last FET my clinic should not have put them back. To start they were tracking a follicle that ended up being a cyst that later burst and my lining did not really thicken up but they continued to put them back and we were a bit niaeve and did not really ask many questions as we thought they knew what was best. We moved clinics after that and things have been so different were i am now. They said that there was no way they would have put them back in with all the probs i had and that they embryos would not have had a chance with the bad environment. With regard to pIO injections when i have the ET we have to use gestone which is intravenious and has to be bum and i always used a ice pack to freeze the spot and then inject and i found that ok. it is harder when D/H is not there but I used a mirror.

Wannababy-I have been having the same sort of situation. This is just
such an up and down experience. I always just try to brace myself for the worst, and yet try and stay positive.


I just got back from the re and he said there were now 12 follies, but they needed to grow. (I think they ranged from 17 to 11) He upped my stims for the next 2 days and I go back Tuesday morning.


It seems like this has been such a long cycle-I started Lupron 10/2, stims 10/27 and it looks like the earliest I will have my ER would be 11/9. Does this seem longer than normal?

Good news just went to the Dr this morning and I have 20 follies. size is 11-18. He said the earliest I would go is Wednesday. I wouldn't be surprised If I go for the ER Thursday. I'm really excited. Going to my in laws today we are celebrating their 50th anniversary. I think it is a little sad that they don't have any grand kids yet. They all know I'm trying. Talk to you all later.

I went for 9 day stim scan on saturday. dr asked in we wanted to cancel, gutted. said we wanted to carry on. news was
good- womb looks "lovely" ( his words not mine)
Bad - 3 follicles 13 , 2 0r 3 10 ish and a few smaller ones.
Does that sound really bad?????
Ovaries killing me now so something must be happenning.
scan again on monday and hoppefully ec on thursday or friday.
hope its not wednesday, got parents evening to do..

Girls, I just received call from the nurse, from the 11 eggies they retrieved yesterday, 10 were mature and 7 fertilized!!!, so I have 7 embrios!!!, I am so excited!!. They told me that given that I have 7, they will see how they develop and might go for a 3 day or 5 day transfer, so depending on that my ET will be on Tuesday of Thursday!!!!!!.
Good luck to all those going for ER today and tomorrow, I now there are quite a few this days!!

ss, don't lose the faith, maybe by Monday you have all 5 in the 15-17 range and I don't think that is bad at all, is this your first IVF?, do you have experience from before??
