Well I got my phone call from the RE this afternoon and he says he's very impressed with my labs. All looks well with my triple stripe still. I have 10 follicles on each side now for a total of 20. He said if things keep progressing well that I will trigger on Tuesday (9/15) for a Thursday ER. Getting excited! :D

Wow, I have a lot of catching up to do! I am sorry I haven;t been around, but with ella's b-day party and then the semester just starting, I have been a busy lady! I will try and catch up as much as I can and try and keep up this time. I may have to do a couple posts, I will reply now to everyone I can see in my topic review.

shelby- Yay for trigger on Tuesday. 20 follies sounds like a good number. Are you feeling bloated yet? I bet you will be glad to get those eggies out!

cheeky- I am so sorry to hear about your bfn. You have been through so much trying to get number 2, and I totally understand how you feel, blessed having one but wanting another. Take the time you need, and if you decide to come back and try again before the end of the year, you know we will all be here for you.

Lady J- PUPO, Yay! I am sending you tons of sticky dust, and I have a good feeling about this cycle for you. I am praying for you girly :D

Chris- I saw you pop in...and I see you are set for Nov, hopefully. I will be watching for you and routing you on.

cheryl- have fun on the may mommies board, hopefully lots of us will be joining you on the pregnant side very soon.

kala- omg, I can not imagine having to fly with sperm. I remember how weird it was just leaving one office with it and driving to another to drop off. Good luck with that. Sounds like your dh has very low count like mine, my dh had no sperm in sample, and was lucky to get 10 twitchers out of tese...hopefully you have better luck.

mjay- congrats on your bfp...those are great beta numbers...when is your u/s?

rayofsunshine- I think all of us ivf'ers secretly hope for twins. Even though I have ella at home who just turned one, I would feel blessed to get twins this time, because then I would have 3 and not have to do ivf again. Even though I know I am crazy to wish for 3 kids under the age of two, talk about no time anymore!

teachermom- hang in there, I am a teacher too, are you a k-6 cert? I am in CT and those jobs are hard to come by as well. But I am getting by on tutoring now, they pay me $45 an hour and no responsibility or lesson plans...woohoo!

wolffie- good luck at transfer...lots of sticky dust coming your way!

johannita- beta coming soon, have you poas? are you going too? You must be glad beta is just around the corner.

katie99- how have you been? Do you have an FET date yet or any updates I may have missed?

AFM- 10 days until my FET...woohoo! After an entire summer of delays I can not believe we are finally here. I am cautiously optimistic this time, and I really hope this works, because I am not sure we can afford much more without putting ourselves in quite a tough spot. And only 7 more days of lupron...thank GOD! I have 2 large hospital size sharps containers that are full, that is how long I have been on that stuff...I think I am pushing 3 months with a short break in the middle...geez! I will try and keep in touch more often ladies, I promise :D
Me- 28 DH- 33 Male Factor
1st IVF- 12/07- BFP! Ella Michele was born 8/26/8
2nd IVF- 04/09 - BFN

Happy Saturday Ladies!

Lady J - the doxy doesnt have anything to do with implantation. I'm sure it isn't a big deal. It really i just to be safe in case you get an infection from the cath at transfer. If you're feeling good I bet you're fine.

lisa - too funny!!! Ye, I see Jacobs! I think he is fantastic! He did my transfer this morning. I wonder why they wouldn't let you do an FET on Saturday. Maybe his Saturdays were already booked. When is your transfer?

kala - that will be a hilarious meeting with TSA! Can't wait to hear how it goes. I know that it probably is hard to not have enough to choose from with dh's sample. BUT, remember that you only need one good strong little spermie!

cheekyone - I am SO sorry. I don't know what to say and I know that nothing I say will make the pain any easier. I'll be thinking of you. ((hugs)) ((hugs)) ((hugs))

shelby - YAY! Sounds like things are going great for you! 20 follies is wonderful! I bet you'll have lots of perfect eggies!

johannanita - thanks for posting the stages! I'll obsess over it now!

AFM, Thanks for the well wishes everyone! dh was able to go to the transfer with me since he got sent home from work last night sick!! There must be a higher power having his hand in this since dh couldn't find anyone to come in early for him. Both my little totsicles thawed out with more than 70% of their cells still in tact. I hope that's good. the transfer went well and shelby - I got my triple stripe! dh and i went to breakfast after, I came home and took a nap, then headed to acupuncture, and now I'm back on the couch. dh was joking all the way home from the transfer that we should stop and look at mini vans! I'm not a mini van type of mama but oh how I hope that the type of car we will need will be our next hurdle!

my thoughts are with you all! [/b]

cheeky i am so sorry!!!

it was a bad day for me too! i got a call from my doctor and we decided to cancel this cycle.
from my u/s this morning they saw that i only had one dominant follicle and a bunch of very small ones. he said it looked like my body didnt respond at all to the meds and that my cycle was a normal cycle not an ivf cycle. he said i could keep trying on meds for 2 more days and see what happens, but i am almost out of gonal-f and he said it would be better to just cancel it now then spend extra money and cancel it on monday. so i agreed. i have to go in and see the doctor this week and and try again when i get my period in 2 weeks....can i say this sucks on here??? seriously this sucks. i cant believe i did all this work and i didnt even have a chance to even think i was pregnant. i dont understand why this is happening to me. its not fair!
i'm giving myself today to be sad and cry and tomorrow i am telling myself is back to step one. hopefully this cancelled cycle will help my doctor know how to make it better for the next time. he said he was going to treat me like a 37 year old and up my injections so my body will respond. he also said that it was a good thing that they saw a bunch of small follies because that means that they are there, and they just need them to grow better next time. all of this is fine in theory, but i am still so angry. i thought for sure this was going to finally be what worked for me.
*sigh*
sorry to be such a bummer!

turtle - SO sorry. it sucks, it really really sucks. like you said though, they have learned a lot about what you need during your cycle. you are still one step closer. this is still going to be what works for you! i know this doesn't make it any easier but you WILL have your BFP. I am so sorry and you should take all the time you need to be pissed, angry, and sad for this cycle. the next one will bring you joy. ((hugs))

Hi Everyone -

I had a crazy day running around doing errands, but I just wanted to check in with you all.

ray of sunshine -Yes, its much better to end up having to order a few more meds than to be stuck with too many, like me. But since this time it WILL work for us, we wont have to worry about all that, right?

kala -fingers crossed for you & DH. Boy, but I dont envy having to deal with the airline personnel. I can only imagine how many times they will make you explain it.

lady j - PMA PMA PMA PMA!!!!

shelby - YAY for 20 follies!!!!

michele - I'm doing fresh. I've never had any snowbabies ever. Cross your fingers that I actually make it to ER this time, lol

Franny -I'm sorry. I know how it feels, its happened to me twice since june. there is no other way to put it, it does suck! Your RE will change your protocol now & hopefully hit the right recipe - hugs!

Hugs & prayers to us all!! xoxo
