The IUI girls

Hi Girls...it's been a long time since I last posted and alot has happened. The unbelievable emotional roller coaster of infertility continues for us....

After our vacation in April, we went for our 8-wk u/s at the clinic. All was well and we saw the little flutter of a heart! It was an unbelievable moment.

This morning, at 10 1/2 weeks, I started bleeding, rushed to ER and, long story short, I have miscarried.

We are devastated...logically, I know that this is very common, it's a sign that things were not right, etc, --but my heart still aches.

We will try again, as soon as my cycles are back to normal. Thankfully we only told a few people, so that's less to deal with as well.

I feel so selfish for dropping off for so long and only coming back on when things get too much to handle...please understand. I'm lost right now.

On a brighter note, hope all is going well with all you IUI girls. For those who have been successful...all my hopes and dreams are with you! For those still waiting on the BFP--we'll get there...I know we will.

i am very sorry.
there are some great poems on the babies loved and lost forum.
woppa who used to be on here all of the time told me that the wound will heal but you will always have a scar...

please let us know if there is anything that we can do..
mc are very hard no matter watch stage you where at..

Hi Ladies...thanks so much for your kind words.

It's been a hard week, but things are getting better. My body seems to have returned to pretty much normal, and emotions are more under control. M/C is so heartbreaking, and to top it all off, your hormones are so out of whack that it just compounds the problem. But, we're looking to the future and planning for great things to come!

Now, enough about me!

Nicki: your turn is coming up soon girl! How are you feeling about it all? Anxiously awaiting the day I hope?

Becky: thanks so much for your support.

Angela: how are you? What's happening ?

Hi Girls

Sorry I have not posted for a while and Jan I am so very sorry to hear your news. MC is not an easy thing to go through and I want you to know that I am thinking of you.

I have decided to put things on hold for a couple of months. Father in law has been very poorly again, but is back out of hospital now. Anyway we have decided to have 1 last shot at doing it naturally before our cycle of IVF so we have booked a week in the Dominican Republic. We go in 3 weeks and I can't wait. I hope that I have got my dates right and it will be the perfect week for making babies. If not we have got the OK now for the funding for one cycle of IVF so will start that as soon as we get back. I think the travel agent thought I was off my rocker when I was trying to be so specific about the dates we could travel. So fingers crossed now, if not I am sure we will have a good holiday and come back refreshed for the IVF.

Hope you are all well and sorry once again for not posting. While I had put the treatment on hold it felt wrong to post.

Well I will post again soon

Hi girls,
Jan I am so sorry about your news

This is my latest news.....
I had app with f/hosp and next step is lap/with oil pushed in my tubes its like the dye thing I had last feb but they say it works better.After that if all goes well straight into iuis again.In this hosp iuis are more like ivf the doctor said and more intensive. I was not sure how but we will see.The iui s/rate in Holland for women my age+problems, is 10% but in this hosp it is 16%.
Also i have tablets to help with my mucus and a thing for washing inside, both things to be used on different days of my cycle

What fun!
Has anyone else had a lap?

I'm getting there Nicki, we're almost at 30 weeks and the girls are very active these days.

We actually did Puregon, the trigger, then Prometrium/Progesterone afterwards. Drink tons of water with clomid, and if you get the crazies a little, thats normal - I did too. We did the clomid first, by itself. I think the IUI was the key for us, and the accupuncture.

Are they going to be doing scans to keep an eye on those follies?

Hi girls,

I wrote a month ago just after my first IUI, but it was a BFN and I've been a little quiet. But now we have just started our 2nd cycle and I'm scared. I was so sure that it would work the last time.

I'm on day 4 and taking Clomid (75mg). On day 10 I'm starting morning blood tests and so Insem day should be next friday-ish (16th June). Is there anyone else cycling with me?

How does everyone feel about IUI's? We have the option of this or IVF and decided to give these a go as they are cheaper/easier on my body. But now I'm thinking the success rates are so low.

Is anyone else annoyed with the Unexplained diagnosis? If we are both so normal - why aren't even IUI's working?

Anyway, look forward to your support and supporting you this cycle.

I guess I am now the unexplained too, I am fine dh has no sperm but we are using donor which is good quallity. so really there is no reason why i shouldnt get preg, I ve had 3 iui's because they are cheaper, is the main reason...but hey I dont know about success rate really, surely if I am ok that shouldnt make a difference huh????

Anyway, hope that the 16th goes ok xxx ARe u having the injection or are u just doing clomid???
