to have fun, turtles and muggsey: good luck tomorrow I hope everything goes great with ER and you all have great eggs.

My ER was today and I had 9 good eggs. I am anxiously awaiting my call to tell me my report tomorrow. The procedure wasn't too bad I am not in too much pain. The only problem today was that my dh's sperm count was very low today and they decided to do ICSI because of it. We have never done that before because dh normally has a very high sperm count, so I do not know much about ICSI. Dh is feeling very down about it like he did something wrong and ruined the cycle.I've been doing my best to cheer him up and let him know everything will be okay. He is just so sad though. :( I am praying that all of my eggs fertilize and we have some great embies. My ET is 8/22 I can't wait.

MY SITUATION

Post by JJJAKE »

Ok as for me i've been on follistim for 3days and i have about 18 follies between the two ovaries and 3 of them are about 10mm the rest are 8mm to 4mm. I have read that alot of you get calls in the afternoon about estrogen levels but have not. I went for bw/us today but no one called me this afternoon. I may start garnellix on thursday but I don't know what that means.
My follistim is such a low dose (200iu) a day I wish I was in the study under 250IU, I would feel better.....Anyhoo I feel good and bloated i bought a pillow to help support my belly at night my dh made fun of me :) and dh is getting on my nerves sooooo much, he insists on giving me my injection which is fine.... BUT  He's watched the video for the med. like 6x and he is such a stickler as to how to give my meds (which is totaly different from what the nurse have instructed us to do)....to make a long story short we ended up arguing about how to adminster the dose. He's gonna go on a mountain trip with the guys soon...he needs to get away.
I wish the best for all of you guys lost of baby dust.

and val you said to someone that after the et not to rest to much.....why is that?

Hey Ladies,

Not been around for a couple of days as had no chance of getting on the computer as it was the fantasy football draft. My dh organises a league and anyone who has a football crazy dh into fantasy football will know exactly what i mean. He has now gone for the post draft beers so i can catch up!!!!

hopingpa so so sorry to hear your devastating news and sending u hugs and best wishes X X X

Renee del Ponte Thank you for your prayers, it really means a lot to me and i know it will help

jdc congrats on the rising beta!!!

Val Hope those precious follies are doing well and you got through the storm. I am v close to you and we got so much rain and i;m just thankful it will be over for tomorrow!!

The big news i have ( and i wanted to tell u all straight away but dh been glued to computer last 48 hours) is i triggered last night at 11.45pm (Eastern Time) and i have ER tomorrow morning 10.15am!!!!!!

I am nervous about how many eggs as i have so few follies but i am so pleased to have had a whole day without any shots!!! I was surprised to trigger so soon it kind of took me by surprise and we have not been abstaining from IC as proposed ER was not till Thurs/Fri and i have been a low responder and they ordered extra meds, so if anything i thought it would be delayed not brought forward !!!!! Hope this will be ok.....

Muggsey & Chris I see you ave both triggered as well, so we will all have ER tommorrow. GOod luck to us all !!! I am v. nervous about this.

Will update on how many eggs tommorrow!!!! (hoping for 4 good ones)

WOW! You ladies have been busy today. I have just gotten home. I worked all day then took went school shopping for my children. I knew if I didnt get it done today then it probably wouldnt get done in time.

Hoping - I am so sorry for the news you received. I will pray for you and your DH.

I cant beleive that we have so many ladies trigger and going to ER at the same time. Praying we all get good reports! There is alot of us that are within a day or two of eachother. That means we will have to hold eachother accountable during the TWW and not test to early!

To those who are stimming - grow follies grow!! Looks like some of you have some good follies going on =)

I will post tomorrow when I get a chance. Praying for all of you ladies!

Good evening ladies...action packed night on this thread!!

kas~ You and I have 4 follies and we are going to do just fine. Congrats on ER tomorrow...you'll get good follies. Wishing you a good fert. report!

Toobee~ You shouldn't have follies envy as you have a good number yourself!! You're doing great and enjoy these injections free days!!
Glad the BW went much better today. Congrats on triggering and ER for thursday.

Turtles, Muggsey,Chris~ More ER tomorrow..yeah!! Congrats on doing such a good job at making beautiful follies!! Can't wait to hear all your reports and more importantly your fert. reports.
Best of luck, you're in my thoughts!!! :D

Truebeliever~ Very good second beta for you! Soon you'll have an US! Relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

Shellbell~ 9 eggs is wonderful and I hope you get lots of good embies to work with. Let us know how many you get!

JJJake~ Wow, you're doing so well! Loads of follies in there already! Keep going like that.
I mentioned not too much rest after ET because Ghost mentioned that there have been studies that show that it doesn't help implantation and could actually harm it a little. I agree with that because women who do not undergo IVF never rest for days in bed after they think they might get pregnant! So why should we? I wouldn't do anything foolish, do not lift anything heavy and no strenuous exercise and that sort of things.

I'm going for BW and hopefully what will be my second and last US!!! I do think I will trigger tomorrow night as I've been stimming for quite a while! I'm so ready to have ER!

The storm did not cause any damage and did not prevent me from doing any tests. Glad it was not worse. My meds arrived this morning and that was a relief for me.

To our ladies in the 2ww...I hope you're hanging in ther and beta day will be here soon. Best of luck and I keep you in my thoughts.

Better go to bed, I had a board meeting tonight and didn't get home until 11:15pm but I wanted to write to you before going to bed as I wouldn't have the time in the morning.

Thinking about all of you!

Hi ladies, thank you for the encouraging words, they helped me a lot and I was even smiling yesterday.

Hoping - so sorry about your news. When I read your post I had tears in my eyes. Just take a break from all this and then go for another one if you can. It must work next time.

Jharris - we havent heard from you lately. How are you feeling?

To have fun, turtles, muggsey and kas: good luck with your ER. Wish you all lots of eggs and painless procedure.

Val - glad the storm didnt interfere. We get enough stress as it is. Hopefully you trigger soon.

As for me, my cramping has subsided but now i got a back pain. Dont know what to think about that. Searched the internet, everyone has a different experience. I wish I could feel pregnant like some women do but I dont. I feel no different than every month. Oh well, have to wait till 25th to find out. I said b4 I didnt want to do a pregnancy test b/c I dont want to hear the bad news from the clinic. I prefer to find out myself. Last time I had IVF my AF came right on time, the day I had to go for the test.

Best of luck to everyone. Tons of sticky baby dust!!!

To all of you who are recieving your ER/ET today or tommorrow good luck :D

TooBee don't think that way about my me, I only have a few at 10mm, I read your follie count your doing great! i can only wish for those numbers ... Now I really don't understand what all the numbers mean right now (E2, and mm) but it sounds good to me..... I swear my RE talks so fast My head spins :?

Val how are you doing honey? You are a true leader on this thread, hope your feeling well. To your reply : I read that because of the evasive procedure (ER), relaxing for a few extra days has no negative outcome. I guess we will all do what we feel is natural besides we will be pregnant who cares :)

This question is for anyone: Ok so I'm on the follistim pen, My follies do have to be 14mm before I'm placed on the ganirelix (to stop ovulation right?), And then what?Con't to wait for more growth, I have to say I feel about 4months prego now. This boating is becoming painful and I have to work in a couple of days? Any suggestions :?

Toobee, Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. I do have much hope, I just felt so much going on in me that I was sure I would have had more follies after 6 days of stims and then Dr saying before anything how great my lining was. I have the faith and Hope and will continuing praying not just for me, but for all you exceptional women going through this life changing process.

My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of us.

Hello All!

I am new to this site and I wanted to introduce myself. This is our first IVF cycle and we are looking at Aug 27th as a possible date for retrieval. I am on Lupron, Follistim and Menopur. I went for an ultrasound yesterday and my doctor said he wished he saw more follicles. He decided to keep me on the same doses of meds instead of the step down we had planned. I go back for another ultrasound on Friday the 22nd.
I was just wondering if having only a few follicles right now is normal. He didn't seem too concerned but now I am concerned!
Thanks for any and all help.
