That's great that you dont have to worry about your lining Leora.. I just read your post in another board and I just hope you can keep your head up and stay positive. I can empathize somewhat as to what you are going through..also being that its been almost a year since it happened to us both.. With me..my EP didn't hit me until 3 months after it happened. I really let it all out. It has gotten much better ever since and I have tried to stay positive that my unlucky streak will turn soon. I can only hope that you can look at it that way. I would imagine you would have better odds for your pregnancy to stay healthy and to term. I found this info from http://www.drmalpani.com/book/chapter25f.html about pregnancy rates. I hope it helps:
"Patients should plan ( mentally at least !) to go through at least 3 to 4 cycles to give themselves a fair chance of getting pregnant. With 4 treatment cycles, the chance of getting pregnant ( the cumulative conception rate ) is about 70 %. What this means, is that even though the chance of getting pregnant in a single cycle may never be more than 40%, over 4 cycles, the chances increase to 70% because the success rate is cumulative".

Hello Ladies,

So I had my trail of transfer and my hydrosonogram on Saturday and it was less then I expected. But then when they did the hydrosonogram they thought they saw a polyp on my uterus so that of course was nerve recking. They had me go back yesterday and they did another type of test where they insert a camera to look directly in the uterus and everything came out fine thank god. The only problem was that the inserting didn't hurt the pressure was really uncomfortable. But thank god all is well and nothing was there. I ordered my meds today and should have them tomorrow. Will be starting the Lupron on December 3rd, but prior to starting the medication I will be going to the medication class so that they can teach me how to use them. I am glad to hear that you ladies are all ok. Looks like we will all be starting our meds during the same week. Will keep you ladies posted if anything changes. Baby dust to all and good luck with your first doses of medication. Happy Thanksgiving to you all just in case I don't get on prior to that.

Hey Jamie !

The Hydrosonogram isn't too bad huh? Sorry the camera one was uncomfortable! I had my hydrosonogram last month and they did find a polyp. Had to have a hysteroscopy to remove it. But its all good :)

Congrats on ordering your meds !!! Its pretty cool we are all starting around the same time. I was supposed to start last week but my Estrogen level is too high (for the 2nd week) so we'll see if its okay Monday. If not then I have to wait until the first of the year. I'm not too happy about that.

Well Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Mishell, I don't remember a lot about that time (only 8-ish years ago, but feels like a lifetime ago) but I do remember that they stung like a sonofagun. That could have been because they were IM shots and not sub-q like they are now. And I agree, I like hearing the facts straight-up, not candy coated and watered down. I remember when I got braces put on as a kid and someone said that it wasn't a big deal and that the pain was tolerable. HA!

Anyhow, I've been doing Lupron for what...two weeks now, I guess? I went in at 9am for my baseline blood draw and u/s. My estrodiol is at 50 and they didn't find any cysts (YAY!! was worried about that!!) but did see about 10 starter follicles on each ovary. They want me to start stims tomorrow night and go in for more bloodwork on Saturday am. With my history of PCOS and OHSS, they want to be careful. Also, instead of starting at 225, they're going to lower my starting dose to 200.

What are you all doing for Thanksgiving? DH is a total saint and said that because I've been feeling crappy with the Lupron s/e, he's going to make a T-day dinner for the four of us. And with all the rain they're calling for tomorrow, I could not be happier to spend the holiday at home, in my jammies :D

Happy Turkey Day, everyone!

Just wanted to pop in and say that my first follistim shot didn't sting anywhere near as much as it did when I had to take them as IM shots 8 years ago! Woohoo! No stinging, but it's tender now, unlike the Lupron shots (I don't even feel those.) I started with 200 units tonight and go in for bloodwork on Saturday.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! :)

I hope all you ladies had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Zen..I was expecting for the Follistim to sting ..and like you.. it was not that bad at all. I think Menopur stings more..and thats not that bad either. The only bad thing about it is that my belly looks like I got a bunch of bee stings on it. Hope you are all doing well.. =]

I absolutely love this board...I'm totally feeding off of everyone's excitement and love that we're all so close in timing!

Had my blood drawn today. My doc was the one who called back (usually it's an IVF nurse) saying that at this point they want to see the e2 between 100 and 200 and that I'm at 159. I told the hubbster that I'm nine points above perfect ;) He just smiled and rolled his eyes and told me not to let it go to my head! I continue on 200 units of follistim tonight and tomorrow and then go back for only bloodwork on Monday, most likely having an u/s and b/w on Wednesday. I still can't belive that we're looking at ER and ET next week! EEEK! :D

Well, I have a killer headache (tylenol can kiss my big, half-mexican tush...it doesn't work AT ALL!!). I'm going to go soak in the tub (a friend of mine makes soap and bath stuff and gave me some stress relief soap and tarts) and then I'm going to go play in my scrap room.

Night, all! :)

Hi ladies. I am brand new here, my first post, and I am already learning SO much from you all.

I am pretty freaked out by this whole process. We have been TTC for about 5 years now. We took a year break two years ago but have been trying pretty aggressively since then. I just had a lap in September which showed lots of adhesions and damage to my right tube. RE gave us the green light to try naturally for Oct and Nov but AF showed up yesterday. I started BC today to begin getting ready for IVF this month. :D

Actually, that is where I am a little confused. I'm not entirely sure yet how long I will be on BC. Some sites say 14 days, others say 21. We meet with my RE tomorrow to go over my protocol. I'm not sure if our ET will happen in December or the beginning of January. Any ideas??

I am SOOOO freaked out about all these shots! I am good at receiving them but SO nervous to mix the medicine. Also, I think I may have had some unrealistic expectations about this IVF cycle. I'm beginning to see that lots of IVF cycles don't work the first time around. I think its important I prepare myself for that. At the other TTC board I go to, there are only about 3 or 4 IVFers and they all graduated. Lucky them, I guess.

ANY words or advice or timelines would be helpful. Any suggestions of what I should ask the RE tomorrow? So glad I found you ladies!

But I guess after tonight it's gonna be a breeze right? I have an U/S on Tuesday to check my follies then hopefully my RE will be Sunday with my ET the following Friday!!

I love how close all our times are, lots of September 2011 babies coming soon! :D :D :D

TryAgain ~Welcome! This is my first IVF cycle and I am still learning the ropes but this board has helped me a TON! I started my BCP end of Oct and was on them for 21 days. My retrival will hopefully be on Dec. 5th with a transfer on the 10th. There are tons of things to do between with doc appts and meds to keep up with. If you have any questions, fears or just wanna talk we are here!

Everyone keep us posted on this weeks appts! I'm so excited for everybody!

Prayers and Baby Dust to us all!

easely - see! I told you! Not so bad at all.... I actually like self-injections more than when other people do it to me. I like being totally aware of what's going on. And the sub-cutaneous ones really don't hurt all that much.

Try Again - welcome! It can be quite overwhelming. My first IVF cycle, I just trusted my doctors to do their thing and got pregnant with twins and had 4 frosties (it didn't work out, but that's not the doctors fault). Hopefully one is all you need! No one wants to be a veteran of this like me.

Andrea - Ihope youre feeling better. Headaches can be one of the side effects -are you on Lupron? That's when people complain about their headaches. I've never had headaches - but I've never taken Lupron (antagonist protocols for me!)

I have my FET finally scheduled for SUNDAY! Yeah! Thursday marks 3 months since we found out our last little bean didn't have a heartbeat anymore.... so I'm MORE THAN READY to get this show on the road!

I just posted on the fall group but I'll share what I wrote on there on this board. I dont know how some gals can keep up with 3 or 4 boards..its hard enough just being on two.

I went to have my ultrasound today to see how my follies are growing and my left side is doing just great. Its the right side that seems to be lagging. So I'm a bit frustrated because I only paid for 1 full ivf cycle hoping I could get a few eggs to freeze incase first try doesn't work out. Now it looks like I must decide this week whether to pay the difference for the low cost 2-cycle plan or just cross my fingers something happens in the next couple days and I get more follies. They did up my Follistim to 225 for the next 3 days. Uh..so confused about what to do..but I just had to vent. THanks all for listening. This process is so stressful especially when you are gambling with all your savings. Also they upped my ET date to Monday.. instead of next Wednesday. Thats the news for me..
Hope all is well and baby dust to you all!

Hi All

I've just read this whole thread...and felt so sad yet strangely bonded together as a woman. We have all suffered so much, and to have other women voice their worries, no matter how trivial to them, makes me feel so "nice" that im not all alone in my feelings.

I am on day 10 of stims. I have PCOS but low ovarian reserve (so i dont respond well). My first IVF in May 08 I got pregnant with DD. Fast forward to Nov 2010, and 8 IVF/FET cycles later, im in the midst of another fresh IVF cycle. I had a m/c at 6 weeks from my August cycle. I feel so much better that im not the only one feeling like i "need" to get pregnant....even after the devastation of a m/c.

My question to everyone is, what were your E2 levels like? My at Day 6= 512, Day 9=1618 but i only had 6 follicles, with 2/3 measuring at 13mm. I was so upset. Looks like they arent growing as quickly as usual. But then again, im on a different cycle to all my other ones. im usually on the long-regulated cycle, but this time im on the antagonist cycle - so thats what im putting my lower response to!

I go in again tomorrow....actually 7 hours from now....(hehehhe i should be in bed)..for blood work and ultrasound to see where my levels are at. Im guessing my ER is 6th Dec.

Good luck to everyone, im hoping everyone gets a BFP - god knows we all deserve it
