Hello Loopy. Well done for tracking me down! You're far too young to be hanging around us old birds but we've done pretty well so far :D

Thanks for your message. I'm feeling a lot calmer and less stressed now I focus only on this board. I still read how people are doing over there and PM but will keep a lower profile now.

The very best of luck on 3rd June. Will you join the June buddies so I can follow your news? Good luck on the 2ww, I'll have everything crossed for you. It's no fun at all but remember you're never alone on here.

hugs

Thanks Caroline. I must admit to preparing myself to see nothing and that the Crinone is producing whatever symptoms I have. I'd love to feel a wave of nausea, just once. I do have sort of adjustment twinges, if that makes sense. I know the uterus starts preparing and you can feel tendons and stretching so I hope that's what I've got, it's certainly not comfortable. Thank god it's only 24hrs to wait.

Morning to everyone, hope you're all feeling fine, and sorry for being so dismal. I'll snap out of it at work and return a happier, sunnier person - promise :)

Debra

Just a quick message to say good luck for the scan tomorrow.

Like you, I'm a bit of a pessimist & after a chemical pregnancy last time I was expecting to see nothing as well - so twins were a lovely surprise.

DH gets a bit annoyed with me as I'm always expecting things to go wrong with the pregnancy, so I have to put a positive face on and force myself into that frame of mind & not panic. I'm still constantly aware of every twinge (or non-twinge) that happens.

My edd at the moment is 16th December - I guess we're both going to have a busy Christmas.

Again, all the best for Friday & please let us know your results quickly.

Belinda young pretty Australian flower, thank you for your kind words!
Onno and I decided just to enjoy our pregnancy and not worry about amnio's anymore!
Your message is a confirmation for me!

Debra, I keep my fingers crossed for a good scan tomorrow but somehow I trust this all.
Remember me saying to myself that I have to keep the faith... I do!
I do keep the faith...!
And you somehow already know the outcome from tomorrow... your intuition does not lie!!

Jude, December 16th. (is this true? twin always come 3 weeks early?!!, you already counted these 3 weeks??
Same is for Debra....

my due date is 23 November.

Yesterday we paid a last visit to the fertilityclinic, we did not want to say farewell, we have had a great treatment despite their refusal in december, we want to come back next year to collect our 3 cryo's!

I had an extra scan (did not mind at all, I like our childs performance) got an extra print... and till next year!

I guess that would make it around 25 November then - hey I'll be up running by Christmas!

Damn, that'll mean we'll have to have the MIL & her horrible little yappy dog for Christmas - again! And my darling Dad.

Keep telling DH I can't cope with 4 adults, 2 babies, 2 cats & 1 dog over Christmas & threaten to take to my bed & let him do it all.

Hey Jude, we will be due around the same time!!

Good news! Strange but true I am not sick anymore .... and I am eating normally!
Before.... some yoghurt, some fruit, muesli, 2 sandwiches and in the evening a litte meat, veggies and patatoes.

TODAY: yoghurt, muesli, fruit, tea, 4 bums with cheese, 2 pieces of cake...and it is only 1.30! very promissing!!

Seems like with the final talk in the hospital my worries are gone and my appetite is back!!

That's great Alette

I'm still having problems with eating - worst of all, I had a chocolate biscuit yesterday & felt awful afterwards. Are there no pleasures left in life? No alcohol, no caffiene & now no chocolate.

Your diet sounds fun - not sure about the 4 bums with cheese though

Just teasing, I guess you meant buns... I hope you meant buns

:D :D

yes buns.

:)

and everyone is giving me compliments about my English :D :D

never praise the day untill it is evening!

I have to find a midwife!

This will not be easy for I have some requests:

I want an old midwife! I am stubborn, I know, I will not take any advise from a 25 year old.

I want to be able to have appointments on Monday

I would like the midwife to have a scan...

And I want to give birth in the hospital! (here in Holland they all want you to give birth at home, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT THIS!!)

The first midwife I talked to today is nothing (no appointments on Monday).
I will have to wait for the second one... at 1600 I can call her..

Jude, do you care for caffeine then? Or alcohol?
I used to be a coffeedrinker (and a smoker too) the stronger the better. I used to drink wine (dry and white my favorite) but non of these can temptate me... I do not like coffee anymore and I had a wedding last week, I promised myself some champagne, I did not like it at all!!
My taste sure changed!
(I never liked flowers, since I am pregnant I buy them every week, I never ever ate soup, I thought it was salty water... and yesterday I made myself a nice vegetablesoup.... much to my husbands surprise.... in 7 years we are together, he never saw me eating soup!)

Your English is still fine - what's a little typo between friends and it really did make me giggle.

I'm not a great caffiene fan but I did have a decent cup of coffee (not instant) at work each morning. Now I like the thought of it but once I take a sip it just doesn't taste right & I end up leaving it.

I've not really missed alcohol either but with the warm weather hopefully coming soon The idea of sitting outside with a glass of cold white wine really sounds good. DH has had the occasional glass of red wine at home but the smell really makes me feel nauseous.

I used to love spicy food - Thai, Chinese, Indian but can't stand it now. This is a shame as DH is doing most (alright all) of the cooking and this is the type of cooking he is best at. For some reason I've also gone off anything in a tomato flavoured sauce.

I hope you get the midwife you want - I understand why you want one older than you. I hadn't really thought about it before but I think I'll feel the same when the time comes for my midwife appointment.

Let us know how you get on with the second midwife.

Love

I found a midwife!

she sounded very sweet and on the question; did you have to wait long to get pregnant...

I almost had to cry when I said; almost 7 years.....

Hi gals,

Alette, I think your wish list for your midwife is very wise. The younger midwives in the unit where I had Annie were not great. Very busy, very bossy and quite self important. I loved the older midwives, they were quietly wise, incredibly knowledgeable and just so much nicer..They took the time to sit at the end of my bed and just chat to me about how I was feeling..The younger ones would bustle about, always looking terribly busy, no time to chat..and were almost resentful that I was such a strong advocate for Annie and for our families needs, I think they prefer a more passive patient.

Debra, I have everything crossed for you. I like what Alette says, keep the faith!!
