TTC 6yrs......Have jumped off the rollercoaster for now, too many BFN's and too much heartache, to keep going....Moving on to fulfil other dreams!!!

hi girls
i'm really down today as the clinic is considering cancelling my cycle. i obviously haven't responded to the drugs as my scan today showed only 1 follicle after 7 days of gonal f. they usually only continue if you've got a minimum of 2-3 but were holding off cancelling it until they got my blood test results as i only have 1 ovary. i spent the whole afternoon in tears and on tenderhooks waiting for the results as they were the deciding factor. luckily they came back positive so i'm injecting tonite as usual and have to go back tomorrow but it's not looking good. i'm so upset. what did i do wrong??

My last cycle was cancelled due to NO follies. This one i have 5. ( 2 too big and 3 too small) Will find out more at my scan tomorrow to see if i will be cancelled at day 13 of stimms.
This cycle i did as a SHORT or FLARE cycle which is especially for poor responders. It's easier as there is no down reg, just stimm on day 2-3 of AF then prostap at day 7 stimming. usual scan etc. You could ask about it at your clinic if you want. Hope this helps.

Rachel: Hi there, dont be sad, it might work out.. last week, I thought I might have t o canc, but in the end my follicles grew suddenly had tmt done, now i am on 2ww... hang on in there. Be strong x

thanks girls for all the support. i had a quick look today before going to the clinic and it really lifted my spirits.
unfortunately this cycle is being cancelled. the clinic did give me the choice to continue but advised against it as they really didnt think it would be successful and would mean waiting another 3 months before cycling again.
so now i have to wait for AF and then i'll go straight to stimming. jen, thanks for your advice. it made me feel more positive going in knowing that there is a different cycle for poor responders and they suggested it to me immediately. how did it go today?? hope it worked out for you.
nicki, fantastic news that you're on 2ww. you must be thrilled. i hope it goes really quickly and you get the bfp you deserve. there just seems to be no end to all this waiting!

Rachel Im sorry that your cycle had to be cancelled, on the plus side at least you can start as soon as you get you AF, hope you dont have to wait to long.
