Hi all :)

Julie - wow isn't it crazy how our babies all have their own agenda?! I'm sure the doctors know what they're doing and this rest is just what your babe needs.

I haven't had a single braxton hicks yet?? I think my baby is quite content and likely has no intention of leaving his or her home until well after the due date!!

Our weather has been hot but I'm not complaining one single bit. Swollen ankles and all...:)

Nursery plans aren't at all coming together...dh has his own agenda as well..! I'm resigned to the fact that all a baby REALLY needs is just a place to sleep and food. So anything else is actually just a luxury. We've ordered crib and change table/dresser which should be in this week and that may prod dh a bit into getting the paint etc done...but I'll keep you posted....we started a kitchen renovation months ago and that's still in pieces. Can you tell I'm a bit hormonal??...lol

Hope you all are doing well :)

hi!

Well, I am lucky to go back to work for half days right now. The medication I am on has really slowed the contractions. I also had a fetal fibronectin test (not sure on the spelling for that one) but it will tell you if you are going to deliver in the next 2 weeks. LUCKILY it was negative.

We just got word that the crib has arrived! Yippee! DH just finished painting the nursery last week so this is perfect timing.

How comfortable is everyone? Daytime is fine for me, but I get horrendous heartburn at night and it is keeping me wide awake.

I hope everyone is doing great and that your pregnancies continue you to be happy and healthy!

Hi all octo girlies,
I guess im lucky as im not suffering with heart burn or constipation
in fact the complete opposite
Well our little boy was a wopping 2pound 8 ounces at 27 weeks, and boy i am huge :o :o
He has been head down for a few weeks now, and he is always moving, and you can see everything its so amazing, he pushes a foot out and lets me tiggle it, its so cool
Only trouble is DH i think i have past on all my hormones to him an he just wants to argue all the time, its really getting me down, why is he like this? it should be the happiest time of our lives.
And is it so wrong to want to be a little bit spoiled?
Well im going to stay with my parents in cornwall for a while so i can be spoilt down there.
But im having so many braxton hix contractions, an suffering a bit with my hips, but apart from all that im the happiest i have ever been, i cant get over how much i love this little guy already, :D :D :D :D :D
Anyway enough about me how is everyone doing, not long left, how quick has this all gone!!!!!!!!

Charlie

Sorry to hear DH has hormone trouble. You go and have a wonderful relaxing, spoiled time at your parent's. You deserve it.
You know Richard doesn't mean it. My DH is finding it hard to realise that its getting so close now.

Have fun luvvi

Hi --

Charlie, are you keeping your doc in the loop about the braxton hicks? How many are you getting? More than 4-5 per hour and you should be calling the doc. I wasn't worried about mine because BHs are supposed to be harmless, but when you get that many it can be considered pre-term labor. Luckily my cervix is not dilating or anything, but they are concerned with it. Sorry!! I don't mean to sound like a mother hen! I'm just worried about you :)

Hard to believe we all have just around 2 months or a little more left. Anyone taking belly pics? I'd love to see them :) or more to the point put a face to a name. I'll post some next week and if anyone else is so brave, they can join in too.

Hope all is well!

Hi everyone,

So much has been happening that i have failed miserably to log on for a few days.

Glad to hear you are all ok and that the BH's have settled down for you Julie. Do they do maternity pay in the states? I recall from one of your previous posts that if you didn't work you got no $?! I am on maternity leave now and the govt. pay us a £108 a month :? but it is better than nothing :)

Chin up Charlie. I do believe men get periods too (without all the mess) but they do have mood swings. Richard has always seemed to be 100% into this and might just be having a reality check. It gets pretty scary when you start tho think about the actual reality of how mush your life is going to change on a daliy basis. Where in Cornwall are you going as we are off to Perranuthnoe for a few days - right down nr Marazion. All of dh's family are on hols there apart from eldest bro so thought we would pop down for some r&r - or as much as one can with the mother-in-law!

DH and i have just been going through what we have left to buy for the baby - yikes! Feeling very lucky that so much is being lent to us as it seems that what you need to spend could almost buy you a small country!

Has anyone done any significant research into child seats. We have ISOFIX in one car but not the other and are looking for a seat that could do both - wishful thinking maybe?

Take care all

Love Saraid

Oh my God.... either I am going completely bonkers or it has been removed.... Just before my "moaning post" someone had listed a whole page of weblinks to Drug sites. When I say whole page, it was really long.

Sorry if my post now offends anyone. It wasn't meant for us IVF girlies... promise.

Didn't anyone else see this... am I going mad???

Love to all

I'm technically due in November, but with twins I'll likely have them in October, so I read your Oct due date thread often. Chelle, I saw it! It was a very, very long rambling post filled with website links. Obviously junk. I saw it on several threads. I think the adminstrators of this site must have been able to delete it from all the threads. You aren't going crazy!

Hello All,

Hey Chelle- I too saw the big long rambling post. Now that it is removed, it really makes your post hilarious!

KristiA - feel free to join us... the more the merrier. I've read lots of your posts on the 2nd tri thread and saw your picture on photobucket. You have a very lovely bump. :)

charlie-- sorry to hear about the pain! I wonder if your little one is pressing against the pubic bone??? How are the BH contractions? Hopefully not too crazy.

Can you believe that we all have just a little over or under 2 months to go? It is going so quick. I can't wait for my little one to arrive, but I'm not ready for this pregnancy thing to be over either. Well, I'm going to see if I can figure out how to download some belly pics from the new camera. I'll post one to photobucket if I can. For those who don't know... there is a "group" website with a bunch of pics on it. Go to www.photobucket.com. The login is "IVFGROUP" and the password is "IVFGROUP". I'd love to see pics of the rest of you, just to put a face to the name.

Continued blessings to you all!
