IM,

Just got "the call" from the nurse. My ER will be this Thursday @ 12 noon. I am scheduted with Dr. G. So I am very happy about that. I did not realize you have to take 2 Ovidrill shots....But that will be at midnight tonight. I will have to say awake!

Anyway, I will be VERY happy to have that part over with.

I will let you know how it goes...

My prayers are with you tomorrow for your Beta. I pray for the best news ever! Please let me know when you are ready to!

IM,

Took my shots last night at exactly 12 midnight! I set my timer on my oven since I was in my den trying to stay awake! :) But it worked. Then after the shot I was totally awake and it was hard to get to sleep. Of course my DH was fast asleep in mins.

Over the phone yesterday the nurse and I filled out that sheet for the day of ER. My boss kept interupting me (he never does that) and one of the most important call! Very irritating. Anyway, I realized I wrote down HSG shot Tues 2nd... So I freaked out. Thinking I did something wrong. But then I realized that 12 midnight was the 2nd... And 36 hours before ER. So I was OK. I even put in a call to ORM, just cause I am crazy. It is like you get SO many instuctions and these are the most imortant, and I wrote something down wrong. Nice. At least I listen to what she said. I sware they should write it out and fax it or something. Cause they know how much we are going through right now. But anyway no harm!

So ER tomorrow, and I am looking forward to getting that behind me. As I am sure you are looking forward to moving on and getting your test today. I will pray for a BFP!!!!!

Talk soon.

You take care of those little embies! I wonder if both took?? WOW... Amazing to think about it.... Eat well and say cool in the terrible heat!

I will try and write tomorrow or the next day. My computer at home is in the basement of all places, however my DH does have the oldest Laptop ever that maybe I can use!

Take Care, and thank you too for your support. I can tell you it has been great to have someone who understands to talk to.. Even though we do not know each other, it has been the best! Thanks IM!

LM - I posted to you on the other thread - but I wanted to tell you again how happy I am for you. I think my first HCG level was 109 9 dpo - so your levels are high! Could it be twins? Wouldn't that be wonderful!!!

Ah, another ORM success story! When you feel comfortable with it - you should go to the "pregnant after treatment" forum and post there. I have been - and it really helps to know that lots of other women are going through the same things as you. I am so excited for you!!

Kelly - your turn now!! GOOD LUCK!! :D

HI!!!

I am home and starving!!! I have been eating ever since I walked through the door.

Well we got 11 eggs!!!! They were really happy, and so where we! I just hope that they are good, at least most of them! I am excited to hear how they do tomorrow. We are doing the ICSI... My husband did give a fresh sample, and I did not get the numbers, but they said it was fine for the ICSI.

As for the procedure, Dr. G did do it, and it went fine. The Zanax barely effected me at all, felt totoally normal, then we did the Dilated, and that stung a little going in, and I felt a little tired, but not that out of it. I am 5'10, so maybe that is why, but only weight like 140 so not sure why it did not do much. So I was a bit nervous. When I got the local it was fine, did not hurt or sting, just felt like pressure, but I think that was from the speculum, not sure. The actual ER was pretty good. They started with the left ovary and got 5 from that one, and there was not one bit of pain from that side, not at all!!! But the right was more sensative. It did hurt some, but not horrible. On a scale of 1-5 it was a 0 on the left and a 4-5 on the right. But the right is the one that normally produces more for me. As soon as it was done, I had some water. My mouth was so dry. But had water sat up and was fine. I did not feel sick at all. She said my color was great, and we where able to leave. So now I am home, I have had Tortillas with cheese, pringles, water, sweedish fish, and coke. Nice, could I eat anything else??? But I have no cramps or pain right now. I did take 2 tylenol just in case.

Now I am not even tired, maybe it will hit me later.. But I am currently watching soaps... :) So all in all, I am good and happy with the count.

I just pray they are all good, or at least most. They said about 80% should be good using the ISCI. Also told me that since I produced well it is a good indicator that they are good quality. But time will tell.

IM, I am still SOOOO excited for you. That is just so wonderful, and was almost in tears yesterday when I got your message.

IM & LisaB, thanks for all your support, and I will keep you posted.

Kelly-It sounds like it went great! I hated how dry my mouth was too! They said the dilated (sp) help dry you out so you don't bleed as much...well it dried EVERYTHING out! I ate when I got home too....funny!

11 is an absolutely fabulous number. Let me know when you get the fert. count. They called me early the next day and I missed the call....

I am back from having my blood drawn. I am anxious again. Yesterday my boobs were really sore and today nothing. That is the exact same thing that happend with the miscarriage....My DH already thinks I am crazy!! I am just waiting and praying the numbers doubled!!!!

Anyway, aren't you glad that is over with? Smooth sailing from there....I forget, what are you doing in place of the pIO shot?

Keep me posted...congrats again!

IM,

The lab just called. Out of the 11, only 5 where mature. Then 2 died with the ICSI process, but we have 3 good ones left. They want to do a day 2 transfer tomorrow.

I asked if the 3 could still die, and they said very unlikely that would happen, and feel confident they will be ok. They said they would be on a scale of 2-4, depending on how they divide by tomorrow. 1 or 2 cell I think they said. But they will put all three back in. I feel good that we have three, and they said they are looking really good right now. They reason they will be grated from a 2-4 is because they will not be able to see them divide.

I just talked to ORM, and they said that they do the day 2-3 transfer when there is not as many eggs, that they do not want to wait and see if they separate, and they are more likely to in me than in the dish. And they eggs look great at this time. So I am happy about that.

Anyway tomorrow at 8 am. Say a prayer for all of us.

Please let me know how your Beta goes today. Everything is crossed for a doubled #.

:)

3 good ones is great! Wow...what if all three take? Are you ready for triplets?

THey told me the same thing about the day of transfer...1-3 eggs is day 2, 4-6 is day 3, 7 and above is day 5. They don't want to risk it. They will like it much better in you!!!!!!!! I will start praying for the transfer now!

How are you feeling today? Pretty good!

I just got the call...the number is 1190!!! Hopefully things continue to go well.

I will be praying!!! Be sure not to do ANYTHING this weekend. Take advantage of it!

IM

Just got back from a really nice dinner out. I felt good today... and thought that we might as well have a nice dinner out tonight since I will be or we will be stuck home all weekend. I even took Monday off work just to rest that day too. So I am ready for tomorrow am.

I am so glad to hear your numbers are doing what they are suppose to. Thank God. How are you feeling?

I forgot to answer your question about the PIO shot. No we are not doing that. I do a projestrone suppository everynight before I go to bed, call Croine or something like that. Then starting tomorrow I take one of the Ovidrill shots at night and it boosts the projestrone. Then I take one like on Tuesday and one on Friday or something, I have to look at my instructions. I told Dr. G I really did not want to PIO shot, and he said that was fine and we could do the suppository and booster shots. The suppository is not that great, but better than a shot. Last night after the ER, not too fun to put anything in there, but it did not seem to bother me. They said my level might be a little lower when they test but not much. The disadvantage is that my first preg. test might be a false pos. because the Ovidrill has the preg. horomone in it... But the next test will show. So that sucks a little. Also of course if the gel is not working right I might have to go to twice a day or maybe the shots. Just play it by ear. Dr. G said some practices just use the gel and booster shots and not the PIO, so I feel fine about doing it. I think I am the ONLY person doing this. Everyone is like "Oh ya, you are the person that is doing it different". Nice, but oh well if it works that what counts.

Well I will let you know tomorrow. I hope they are OK in the morning.

IM

I had my ET done this am. Dr. G. transfered 3 grade 2 embies back. I was thrilled that they where all grade two. I was thinking that after so many of mine did not make it, that these might now be the best quality, but I was hoping for the best. Well my prayers where answered! They said grade two was the best they could be right now at this point since they could not watch them anymore. Dr. also assured me that my day two transfer is just as good as day 5 transfers. So I was happy about that. I am not going to even read anything about 2 vs. 5 transfers, cause I am going to just try and relax. I came home and watched some tv and took a nap. My DH is going to go out and pick up lunch and my mom and brother are coming over to visit. I am going to go outside sit under the umbrella in a lounge chair and relax!! . Dr. also said that it is only a 5% chance of triplets. But we will cross that bridge if it happens. I am not turning anything down, and I would be sad if any of them did not make it, but for now it is in God's hands and I will take what he wants to give me. I pray it works!

I do feel strange about getting up and walking from point a to point b, cause I just don't want to do anything. But I guess that is crazy.

Anyway, on to the two week wait. Hope you are feeling well. What is next for you? Your 5 or 6 week ultrasound? You would know then if there are twins right?

I am soooo happy that things went well. You are lucky that Dr. G did the transfer too!! I totally agree about not reading anything about day 2 vs. day 5. Dr. Kennard told me the exact same thing...she said their success rates with day 2 and 3 were they same as their success rates with day 5...they just put one less embie back on day five. That made me feel pretty good....and as EVERYONE says...THEY love it in you, not the lab!

Relax, relax, relax. I am glad you took Monday off too. I did bed rest the day of the transfer and the day after and only did a small amount of stuff on the third day. (I had to go get blood drawn). Have DH do lots for you!!!

Also, glad you got to go to a yummy dinner last night? Where did you go?

We told my DH's parents that it worked last night. It was nice to see their reaction. I didn't want to tell anyone yet, but there are a few people that knew we were doing IVF...I have to tell them. For everyone else I am waiting until we see a heartbeat. I don't know when the ultrasound will be. I called Dr. G's nurse (Sally) to set one up, but she didn't call me back yet. I am assuming I will hear from Her on Monday.

Anyway...rest, rest, rest. I am praying and sending you all kinds of sticky vibes! Good luck with the progesterone stuff too!

When are your blood tests? Keep me posted!

Well I have been lying on the coach ALL day. I did go outside for about an hour, but sat in a chair with my feet up. I am SO bored. I am currently watching Father of the Bride for at least the 20th time!! But all worth it.

I can't beleive you stayed in bed for two days. WOW, I could not do that, but I did take a couple naps and have been off my feet. So I am doing ok. What was your projestrone when you got it drawn? I have come to know that number means nothing, but it is always nice to have a high number.

Well my first blood test is the projestrone this coming Thursday, and then the following Thursday is the first BETA. But of course with the Ovidrill I am taking they said it might be a false positive. Then of course my next BETA is that following Monday. So two weeks from Monday I will know something. I am going to try and relax the best I can.

We went to Lindeys in German Village last night. We sat outside, it was really nice. Tonight my DH picked up some Spagetti w/meatballs from our local Pizza place, so we will have that later and watch a movie.

That is exciting to tell your DH's parents. I bet they are thrilled. I told a lot of people because I just seem to tell everyone everthing... Mistake maybe, but it has been nice support. If we get a BFP then I will tell a few people, but the others I will just say I don't know yet. I will not tell them until everything is going ok. That is the good thing with IVF, no one knows very much about it, so you can just say oh don't know anything yet... But my friends have been good about not asking anything unless I offer it.

Anyway, I will keep you posted. I guess nothing too exciting will happen for the next couple of weeks, but keep in touch and let me know how you are feeling. Oh, and my projestrone stuff, (I think you asked) is going fine. Very easy, and better than a shot every day!
