Jenn--Welcome!! I know what you mean about the shots. I didn't think that I could do any of them and that DH would have to do them all, but I ended up doing them all except the projesterone shots! Good Luck with your cycle!!

cmoscar-Looks like there are several of us that will be on about the same schedule!! I'm glad to be sharing it with you guys!!

JenJ--Welcome!! Good Luck with your cycle! I know it all seems scary at first but you just have to take it day by day! Its so wonderful that you adopted!! Did you do domestic or international?? We have sent off for infromation about adoption and looking into all our options if this cycle doesn't work.

Nance--You were so brave to tell your boss!! I am still being a chicken  I know I will have to do it this week and I dread it!! I live 2 1/2 hours from my clinic so I when I start stims and they start monitoring me closely for ER I am going to take off. Last cycle I had to go everyday for monitoring  I could work half days on those days but that is just too stressful for me!

Jordan22--Hope your having a great weekend!! I love the Cheesecake Factory!! There is one close to my clinic and we always treat ourselves to there when we have appointments!!

Nicola--My buddy!!! I have missed you!! I thought you might have needed some time away!! I hope that everything works out for an October cycle!

Sorry if I missed anyone!

As for me AF showed up today and I will call the clinic on Monday and get my official schedule but I don't think it will vary much since I was only a day late on AF.

Good Luck to everyone! God Bless!

Hi Jeck :)
Have just been looking through the threads and have seen you start at the end of September. Wishing you lots of sticky dust and positive thoughts your way. I haven't posted for a while but it is good to see you giving good advice to all. My AF came on Friday and we have decided to wait until i have had my September cycle until i get in touch with clinic because we have lots of family and friends coming to visit in september, with young children and babies and i want to be able to enjoy them being here rather than being all emotional, will be thinking of you though.

That cheesecake factory sounds yummy wish i had something like that near my clinic. Have a big yummy one for me with lots of strawberrys

wishing everyone else on there cycles this month lots of positive thoughts and sticky dust...

Hey Elliecat!!

You won't be to far behind!! I am so glad you going to have another go!! I am going thru periods of excited and periods of sheer terror!!!! Me and DH had a long talk last night and we really should wait because we have no money but by the time we do and the way my cycles go the clinic will not be accepting anyone for xmas shutdown. So we are going to suck it up and hope it all works out anyway!!

I hope you have a wonderful time when your family comes in. You can go to www.cheesecakefactory.com and look at their cheesecakes. You can order online. I love them and they have all kinds... Would be great when you have all your family in, you can throw the box away and make them think you worked really hard on baking that cheese cake!!!

Glad you popped by, post when you can!!!

Hi Jeck,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am trying to take everything one day at a time as you mentioned. I am a worrywart by nature! I am trying to enjoy this time for the next few weeks until we get in full swing and I start to get really stressed out! I don't know-maybe the waiting actually makes me stressed as the whole thing is looming in the future!

We adopted our son internationally, from Russia. We brought him home 7 months ago and it is truly the most amazing thing I have ever done and the greatest experience that my hubby and I have shared together. He has brought so much joy to us! We decided to adopt after TTC for 3 years, including 6 clomid cycles + 4 injectible cycles (3 with IUI). The fertility treatment was not going well and we felt our relationship was suffering for it as well so we changed direction to adoption. While waiting for our adoption to complete (a little over a year into the process), we decided to try fertility treatment again and scheduled an appt to get back in our clinic's system but then got the call to go to Russia! We are having the best time with our son but have also returned to fertility treatment 3 months ago as we have not given up hope of a bio child as well. We have done 2 IUI with injectibles since then and are now attempting our first IVF cycle. I would love to get past the TTC stage of our life-hopefully with the result of a baby!!

What kind of adoption are you considering? If I can answer any questions at all, please let me know. We did so much research on adoption before the process-it's an overwhelming thing too! I am glad that you are considering it as it helps to know there are other options available. But, I hope that this cycle will be successful for you!!

Take care and best wishes,

Jen J-- Yes I think the waiting it the most stressfully part. I am too a worry wart!!! I actually thought I would be a complete basket case during my first IVF and I was amazingly calm and did really well with it!! This time I will most likely be a basket case!!! My doctor thinks that is just a matter of time before it works for us and I hope she is right and that is this time!!

Thanks so much for the offer of answering any of my adoption questions!! We got a formal application thru an agency that is close to us and I found it quite overwhelming and very intrusive. Yes, I know that they need to know all this stuff about us but I am not a very open person and want to discuss my feelings with a stranger that I feel is judging me!! I am kind of leaning toward Guatemala, because you can get a young child and after you are you assigned a child you can go and visit it as much as you can afford too. But the big downer to Guatemala is the $$$$ it can be anywhere from 21k to 30k from what I have read. Why did you choose Russia??? I would love to hear your reasons for choosing Russia and what your experiance with that country. My main concern is the bonding, which I am sure that is everyone that adopts main concern.

I also know what you mean about getting past the TTC part of life, I have completely put life on hold and everything revolves around TTC. It gets very frustrating at times but I need to put all my efforts into it so if I ever have to walk away from it I know that I gave it my all!

PM me anytime and I will give you my email address!

Hope you have a great week!!!

Hello Everyone!

It has been a few days since I posted. We are out of town. My DH and I celebrated our birthday Friday so we came home for the weekend. He has business out of town so the dog and I are staying at my parents' house. Good to be home. I will leave Thurs.

AF also arrived on my birthday Friday. I was excited to feel like I was finally going to get going- and a little annoyed on the day she chose to show up!! I started BCP Sunday. So I am waiting for all my drugs and i am scheduled for a Lupron shot on Sept. 14. Is anyone else close to that schedule?

Have a great day everyone!

Well, everything has changed again! We went in to get all of the results from the bloodwork and such and we were shocked! My FSH was too high (10.4) and I tested positive for a blood clotting disorder. They took more blood and are going to run more tests on this, but the RE has decided that a long cycle will not work due to the FSH level. He also does not want to do anything until the test results come back for the blood clotting. Does anyone here have Antiphospholipid Syndrome? They want me to start taking aspirin immediately and see if it does the job. Otherwise, they will try some more drastic methods (he did not go into detail). He made it sound like I was in danger of dropping dead. What is this? :?:

On the fertility side, he wants to do a "flare" method. He said there will be no BCPs or Lupren. Has anyone had this method and why use this? :?: :?: :?:

Sorry for all of the questions, but when the RE told us, I went into silent :? mode and just knodded my head.

Thanks,

Racheal

Hi guys can I join you?

I have been lurking in the september thread, but as my clinic shuts for August the next Cycle I fit into will starton 29th Sept. So treatment won't start until Oct.

My history is that we were trying to conceive for 3 1/2 years and were given the 'unexplained' diagnosis. We had our first IVF in 2004 and were so lucky that it worked for us and we were blessed with our little girl. Having tried to conceive naturally since her birth we have decided to try again. Feel a little greedy but the desire to have a second baby is still there. Hope people can understand that, and son't mind me being here.

Looking forward to geting to know you all. Will get reading so I can pick up on who is here!

Casy P -- Welcome!! I have been going back and forth between the Sept thread and this one!!! Good Luck on your cycle!! Did you have frosties left over or are you doing another Fresh cycle??

cmoscar-- :( So sorry that your FSH was too high! I tested boarderline for clotting issues that is not suppose to affect pregnancy but my doctor is having me take baby aspirin starting at ET. Tonia AKA Jordan22 has the clotting issue like you where she is taking aspirin all the time. The more drastic measures that he most likely was talking about was taking some type of blood thinner like heprin.

Jackie on the Sept thread is doing a flare cycle, pop over there and ask her about it she would be glad to share!! From what I gather it is where they don't suppress you because not everyone does well with suppression and don't need it. Jackie said that her doctors felt she didn't produce as well as they thought with her last cycle and they thought she would produce more eggs this way!

Jen J-- Great looks like we will have lots of company during our cycle and keep each other sane during the dreaded 2ww!!!

Nance-- How is everything going? Hope you had a great weekend!! I told my boss today and it went so well!!! I am so excited now!!!

Tonia-- How are you, how was the MIL visit?? Hope it went well. I would be out digging a hole in the yard to put the body if mine came to visit me!!

Nicola-- Hope you are doing well!! I miss you!! Hoping you are taking care of yourself!!! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Sorry if I missed anyone!!

God Bless!!

Racheal-I'm so sorry to hear about the issues you are having! I hope that you are doing ok. I don't have any answers for you but luckily it sounds like jeck does! As far as the aspirin-my clinic has everyone take low dose/baby aspirin while doing any treatment. They say that if your blood is thin, it flows better and I guess there is research that shows that pregnancy rates are better or something because blood is flowing to the uterus more freely. The only bad part about taking the aspirin is that I constantly have bruises! My doctor did say that some people (I'm guessing those with a clotting problem after ready your post) must stay on the aspirin through the first trimester to maintain the good blood flow. I really hope that everything works for you and that you get your answers asap!

Casy P-Hello! Just wanted to welcome you too but also wanted to say that you are absolutely NOT greedy to want more children! I am so glad that IVF worked for you the first time and I hope you have equally great success. DH and I plan to have a lot of kids (I know it's crazy since it has taken so long to get through all of these processes!). But whether we adopt or have bio children, we hope to have as many as possible! I think it's great that you are going after what you want and I wish you the best of luck with your cycle!

All - Thank you for the information. I am trying to learn as much as possible about APS, but other than this, I am just trying to calm down. I have so much to be thankful for already. I have my two boys and I have a wonderful husband. Add to that, I have about 45 children that love me and enjoy spending time with me. I am a Cub Scout leader that has a large following. I am going to spend the next few weeks focusing on this since I have another month to wait out.

I hope they adjust my meds this time, so I don't get it again. Hopefully, I'll be joining you, ladies, in the end of Sep/beg Oct.
