johannanita - I know I will POAS too even though my h doesn't want me to. I am sure it is still too early. If you'll notice on the chart it says that an HPT can be taken an be positive 9dp5dt (yes, I already have that memorized). I can't remember which transfer day you did. Give it time, you will have a BFP!

moorebaby - WELCOME! Great number of eggies! Have you received a fertilization report yet? The transfer is not painful at all. I think the only part that was uncomfortable is having a full bladder and not being able to pee until after transfer! (some docs require a full bladder some don't). will you be doing the PIO injections yourself or will someone give them to you?

mjay - yes! we are all going through FCI! what a small world! We should start an "FCI September/October cycling friends play group" once our kiddos arrive! a HUGE congrats on the twins!!! how exciting! i hope to be joining your ranks soon!!

cheekyone - thinking about you.

m2b1106 - Welsome! I think I have said this to every newbie...the needles seem overwhelming and scary but once you get through your first shot it will get much easier. eventually you'll be a pro. sorry to hear about your mom.

kiwi - did your RE ever mention something called conception xr for your dh's spermies? My re told my dh to take it prior to our fresh cycle. my dh has poor morphology and the conception xr is supposed to help increase the quantity and quality of the sperm. it's like a prenatal vitamin for men but specifically addresses their sperm. it can be purchased without a prescription and there is a website. i do't remember it off hand but you can google - conception xr and it will come up. kala - that may be something for your dh to think about too. in regards to the sushi it's fine until pregnancy so I would stop eating it after transfer. go enjoy yourself a big sushi dinner and have some for me too!

destiny - welcome! we are glad to have you. this is a great forum with lots of great women. ask us anything you want, it's all fair game here!

shelby - it sounds like you guys are doing a great job with the boys. maybe one day she will come around but if not the boys have excellent guidance from you and your dh.

2010 - WELCOME! Glad to have you with us!

Michele - I have tried changing my ticker but I couldn't get it to work. How did you get yours to work?

AFM, I am getting SO bored being a couch potato. I am going to take it easy again today and then back to work tomorrow. my son spent the night at grandmas and it was hard to not see him for 24 hours. I thought having him around would be too much of a temptation to do too much. my dh is going to get him in a few minutes. I hope my little embies have made themselves comfortable. Please oh please oh please!

Mjay – WOW! TWINS! Congratulations are in order here!!!! I’m so happy for you! What does DH think? Was he shocked? What did you say when you found out? I have to know all the details!

Destiny, M2b1106, & Moorebaby –WELCOME! The transfer and PIO injection experience that I’ve had is that they are uncomfortable, but it’s definitely worth doing if it helps bring a baby into this world!

Johannanita – LOL! I’ll probably end up doing the same thing. As for the negative, you are still 5 days away from your beta and I totally agree that it would be too soon for a definite positive. Just hang in there and don’t be discouraged. You’re PUPO no matter what!

Kiwi – the best way I can describe the triple stripe is that it is the optimal lining for implantation. But that doesn’t mean if there is not one present that the embryo won’t attach. It’s just a good sign.

Wolffie - I'm sure seeing DS again will bring joy to your heart. But I am glad you got to take a break and let those little embies snuggle in! Hoping for a double whammy for us too!

Good morning Ladies.

I typed a bunch and lost my internet connection. :( Let me try again.

mjay - Twins!!! That is so awesome! I am so happy for you!!!!! Congrats to you and DH. What a blessing. I pray that you continue to have a good pregnancy.

Moorebaby - Welcome aboard! Congrats on your 25 eggs! That is wonderful. I hope you receive a great fert report and have a great ET. I'm with Wolffie, you're more uncomfortable from having a full bladder than anything. I thought it was so cool because you get to see them put your little embies(y) back. That was the best feeling so far. How many are you putting back in?

wolffie, shelbyrn0214 and everyone else. I couldn't sleep this morning. I've had 2 dreams that I POASed and it was positive. I feel like I shouldn't have POAS to being with, but now it's too late. lol Anyway, of course I did again. I was staring at that thing so hard my eyes started to water because I was not blinking. lol I started to feel sad again and low and behold, there is definitely a faint line. I literally rubbed my eyes because I couldn't believe it. I then rushed to the trash and pulled out the one I did yesterday and there it was too, a faint line. Ladies please don't celebrate yet. Please just pray for me and that these lines continue to get darker. I will definitely POAS tomorrow. Just pray for me ladies please.

Hi Everyone,

My cycle was canceled at my appointment this morning. :( No new follies. I only had 1 small follicle on the left and none on the right. We're going to try next cycle without BCP and go right to stims.

Cheekyone- so sorry to hear about your BFN. Try to keep that PMA going! It's gonna happen for all of us!

CT Michele- I'm certified PreK-6 and Literacy birth-6th. It's so tough to find work right now. I'm going to try to look for tutoring work too. Need something to bring in some kind of income!

Turtle- Sorry to hear about your cycle being canceled too. It's great that you did have smaller follies there though. :)

Johanita- Yay for a faint line! That is exciting, and keep us updated as they get darker!

Wolfie- changing the ticker can be difficult at times. I have been using the lilypie.com ones. For everything having to do with ivf, I use the vacation one because you can change the words, so I can say ____days until ____. Anyway, when I am done creating it, it gives you a whole bunch of options for the codes. Go to the part that says forum signatures and click on the PseudoHTML, UBBCode and BB Code. When it comes up, you only need to copy and paste the part that starts with [img]and%20ends%20with[/img]. Do not copy and paste anything before or after those 2 parts, or if you copy and paste the whole string, just erase whatever is before the [img]and%20whatever%20is%20after[/img] before you save it in your signature. That should work.

I think tickerfactory.com works the same way. On their site I use the event countdown, and then use the bb code, but only what is between the [img]and[/img]. Good luck, hopefully I will see you with a cute new ticker soon!

Teachermom- I am so sorry to hear you got canceled. I know how much t sucks. What did RE say was the next step?

mjay- TWINS! awesome news! Congrats to you!

Johannanita - That's great about the HPT today! Let us know as it keeps getting darker. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

teachermom - SO sorry about your canceled cycle. When will you be able to get started again?

michele - thanks! i got my ticker to work! The problem I was having was that I wasn't deleting the parts before and after the [img]. THANKS! I am thrilled that your transfer is so soon! Will you have some help with Ellla after the transfer?

teachermom- i am so sorry your cycle got canceled :( if you need to talk i'm here for you. i am going to my RE this week, and even though she said on the phone that i will have to start all over again on BCP when AF comes i really want to get started asap again, and i am going to ask her about skipping BCP and going straight to stims. i have no idea how that works.
my dh is a middle school teacher, and its really hard to find work around here for teachers (i'm in new hampshire) where are you? my dh has 8th grade and hates it. he really wants 5th, but there is just nothing out there.
anyway i just wanted you to know that i'm here for you, and i know what you are feeling. hopefully we can cycle together asap and get our BFP!!!!!

JOHANNAITA- ok so i'm not celebrating for you yet, but that faint line is sooooo exciting!! its more then ive ever seen on a HPT. i am praying for you! you are my endo sister and if you can do it so can i!!! PMA PMA PMA!!
:D

SHELBY- i am so excited for you!! you have been an amazing support for me through all of this and i want to say thank you! i wish i was still your cycle buddy...i dont know what i'll do without you next round cause you'll be over in the pregnant boards by then!!!

mjay- CONGRATS!!! TWINS!! thats amazing. :D

afm- not much. its actually weird not to have to wake up and take my injections. i put all my supplies away and out of sight last last so i wouldnt have to look at it all. i am calling my RE tomorrow to make an appointment for this week and i'll have a better idea of whats going on. i am going to make myself a BIG drink tonight and relax. me and DH also decided we are going to go away next weekend. we are going to atlanta to visit some of dh's family for the jewish holiday. they invited us to go down months ago, but we knew we would be in the middle of IVF and i wouldnt be able to travel, but now there is nothing holding us here so we might as well get out of the house and keep our mind off things.
i'll still be around these boards....i hope you dont mind. i'm kinda far behind everyone now, but i'd really like to stay!

Yeah Wolffie! Ticker looks great! My FET is scheduled for a Tuesday, which is perfect, because dh usually gets out at 2 (so he will leave early), his mom will watch ella while we go for transfer and then dh is off on Wednesday and Thursday. Those are his regular days off because he works the weekend, so it couldn't have worked any better. I have class on Thursday night, so tuesday after transfer and all day wednesday, and most of Thursday I can just chill. I will ask my mom in law to come over whenever she can for those 2 weeks to help so I am not lifting ella too much, and I already told dh he is going to have to take care of baths and reaching into her crib (its a long stretch that the rail digs into my belly.) I hope I am not worrying anyone, I am just being over cautious this time since I have the help available to me.

turtle- please stay and we will all be watching for your next round to route you on!

The temps during the day have been ranging from 80 - 88 and 60-70 @ night. It actually feels pretty good to me. Remind me and I will send you a weather forecast before you leave  . Wolfie: I am so glad I found out about your FET on a Saturday. I was going to have to take off work for mine, whcih was going to be very hard, because they said there were no Saturdays. I emailed the nusre today and said a freind of mine had her FET there Saturday could I move mine and explained my job and why it is so hard for me to get off work. I run a daycare out of my home. I would need to close and all the families would need to miss work so I could go. She emailed me back and said she made the change and I'm on for Saturday Oct. 17th instead. Yeah!!!! You have no idea how much easier that makes my life. I have already been stressing more then a month away about how I was going to get off work.

Another newbie starting IVF cycle in October

Post by Supergenius »

After TTC for about 1.5 years, finally giving in to IVF. Could have done IUI last year but chickened out (was too stressed). Both DH [36] & I [38] are "normal" so we fall into the unexplained infertility category.
Doing my mock embryo transfer / saline sonogram this week...only a twinge nervous for that (but if it's no worse than the HSG than I'm good). :)

Hello LAdies.... Well, here I am 3dpt. Hmmm, what am I feeling??? Well, i went to a birthday praty yesterday :( no drinks for me.... but I wore a pair of jeans that normally fit me fine. They still fit but they actually had a tight feeling... not the jeans but my stomach felt sore. I usually cant wear my jeans after doing stims, but It kind of felt like that. I had to cut theparty shortcuz I just felt so ucomfortable so my DH and I went home. I gothomeand knocked out on the couch. Woke upat 5 am cuz i had to pee, went back to sleep and just been in and out of sleep all day. I also feel so natueous and a headache that comes and goes. Now I know the meds to this to me... but I more concerned about infection than anything, cuz if u remember, they forgot to have me take the Doxy. Hmmm... Im not feverish or anything, but just soooo tired. Oh yeah, I had tons of CM today... never like before. Anyway, these past3 days are have been the longest and I stillhave a whole week to go before my Beta....Aaaarrrgh. So to you lucky BFP ladies... did you Symptom Spot while u were waiting for Beta? ANy unusual symptoms that u know now had to do with u being PG? I want to POAS, but I know defo it will be a BFN... when do u think I should POAS to consider an accurate result. I have a few FRPT.

cheekyone... I am so sorry about your results. I know it hurts and gets confusing as to why it didnt work. I really hope u dont give up and try again only to getyour BFP u deserve. GL hun.

mjay..... OMG congrats hun on your Twins. How exciting. That is a blessing!!!

johannitta.... Im so glad that u saw that 2nd line. I was about to say that it was way to soon to hetan accuarte result but hey, I guess not. I will keep my fingers crossed for your beta.

turtle... Im sorry u had to cancel. Well, I hope that u getto start ASAP and still get to be on this board with us. ANd good luck this time hun.

teachermom... same to you. Sorry anout your canceled cycle. Hope u get to start again soon and good luck this time.
