Thanks everyone. I've been admitted and am just resting. Still contracting every 3 minutes. They can't give me the terbutaline b/c my heart rate is too high. The boys are doing great. Now its just a waiting game. I'm so glad I have internet on my phone, and I even remembered my charger. :D. I'll keep everyone updated!

Gina -- Oh my goodness... I wasn't expecting you to end up in the hospital so soon. I'm glad you're past the 30 week mark, the babies lungs should be able to be matured with steroids no problem. I hope you are doing okay. Thinking of you! Thanks for the updates.

kjm -- Less than a 2% change of chromosomal problems is pretty darn good odds. Remember, it's just a screen. And if they say it's negative, then that's as good a news as you can get. I am not doing an amnio either. I have my AFP scheduled for my 16 week appt on 4/29, then my Level II is scheduled on 5/12. I just keep praying and praying that all is well, but I know the odds are in my favor.

LYD -- Thanks for making me feel better about my bump, er, or lack thereof. I guess I'm just anxious to look PREGNANT. And I keep thinking that a growing bump means a growing baby. I'm only 5'4", so definitely not tall and without much vertical room. A friend of mine from tennis who is very active said she didn't look pregnant until she was 18-20 weeks with her first. Maybe I just need to be patient.

HopeisallIhave -- Did you lose weight due to m/s? Mine wasn't bad and was better with food in my tummy, so that wasn't a problem for me. Hooray for second trimester... get your pic up! Congrats on great NT scan results too. :)

Bunny -- You've been lookin' great and your baby is doing wonderfully... I really think you shouldn't worry about the weight issue. You're going to bounce back to your pre-prego size quickly AND have a healthy baby! That's a plus, right? :D

Mellow -- You're still in my thoughts. Let us know how you're doing.

AFM -- Played tennis a bit strenuously yesterday but felt great. I wear a heart rate monitor and my HR was up to 175 at times! I felt OK though. My resting heart rate has gone from 48-50 up to 65-68. So not too much of an increase. When I was having a spinal epidural steroid injection for my herniated discs they had me on a monitor and it kept alarming because I was resting waiting for my procedure (no meds on board) and my HR was under 50. The nurse had to keep running in to see if I was OK. I was waving my arms around to keep it above 50 but got tired of that, so I just let it go off. I weighed myself this morning for the first time in about 2 weeks and I was down 3 lbs from previous. :| I think it's because I've been hitting the gym more often. I guess I need to increase my healthy calories. Good thing I love fruits, veggies, and protein bars!
Here's my 14 week pic. I think I see a tiny bump... do you?

Gina: I hope you are able to keep little ones in a little longer. However, my sister had her son at 28 weeks. He spent a couple of months in the NICU. That was about 6 years ago, and he is fine. He is actually very big for his age. Although you want to have them as close to 40 weeks as possible, the odds are still very good that things will work out.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it so much. I am hanging in there. My little one needs me to be strong, and so do my big ones. So, I'm praying for strength, and trying to find things that make us all smile, while we try to find a way to grieve this little girl, and the one year anniversary of their baby brothers death. I can't believe all we have been through. My little Miss Marlo is happily playing and wiggling around inside of me, giving me reassurance that she is doing well. I am so thankful for her. I refuse to be defeated in all of this. Your encouragement and prayers mean so much...Thank you, thank you.

Gina, I'm praying for you and your precious boys. Let us know how you are doing.

ooops - just realized I addressed a comment to the wrong person - I meant to congrat HopeisallIhave on NT scan and hoping for good genetic scan (not Kay) Sorry for mix up - sleepy earlier this morning.

Lou - I think I am starting to see a little bump - but you are so fit and strong that it will take longer. I am just glad I was able to make through first trimester without maternity clothes. I am growing - but have twins. I have gained 4 pounds. Setting records on the scale for me, I know it will only continue, which is good.

Here is my question for the day. May be silly but oh well... Why do all maternity clothes have such large neck lines? or have to be see through? It is not like our necks are getting bigger! I am a physical therapist. I spend a lot of my time bent over patients working on them. I do not want my boobs falling out on them (which is another problem with my boobs getting larger -I find they are in the way...) I normally wear active wear - golf/tennis polos, hiking/running shirts, etc... Anyone know of a good place to get that type of maternity clothes? I don't want frilly/girly, see through, chest falling out... Just normal clothes.

Have you tried Khols? I found their pants very comfy. But I didn't try their tops because I just wore stretchy bigger size tops. But I wasn't preggo with twins :)

Thank you ladies for all of your prayers and support. I'm going to be in the hospital and on bed rest until the boys arrive. The MFM doc said 2 more weeks at the most as my cervical length went down to 2 cm and I'm actively contracting. I had a visit from the NICU resident who assured me that the boys will be very well taken care of and will probably only need O2 for 2-3 days.
I'm trying to get help at home for our other kids. A couple of neighbors have offered to take them anytime which is nice to know in case my husband has to come here in the middle of the night.

Kjm: Gap has great basic tops online. Nothing hangs out either. Motherhood may have some polos as well.

Mellow: I hope you and your family are starting to heal, lots of hugs and prayers for you all.

Lou: cute little bump you've got there :)

for those of you gals expecting twins i thought you would enjoy this funny video of twins babbling to each other. i didnt particularly care for the captions but i thought the babies were super cute. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku3oIyFA1WM

i am so sorry for your loss, Mellow - i hope the video is not too insensitive to your situation. thank goodness still have one healthy baby in there doing so well!

Gina - hang in there! you are so strong and being well taken care of in he hospital. and your DH is so good holding down the fort at home.

one advantage to having twins that i never considered is that they entertain each other. and there is something to be said for that for sure!! instant playmates

well with my upcoming fet we are transferring 3 embryos, but i that doesnt work i will transfer 4 next time. time to get more aggressive! i dont know why i am hanging out on this board :) its fun to follow you happy ladies and i hope some of the baby dust will rub off on me this time.
i am kind of stunned to get ectopic during IVF. i had no prior tube damage so why on earth would an embryo implant itself in my tube when it was placed in the uterus. any of you ladies have experience with ectopics during IVF? i thought that uterus was supposed to be sticky peanut butter sandwich thing - how could an embryo wonder into the tube then?
anyway - its history now. on to another transfer in 6 weeks!

Well looks like i have joined the GD club. I am going on a GD diet. My 2nd to last RE said I was insulin resistant so i was on metformin last year. when i went to visit my OB I asked if i should still take it. They then had me do blood sugar tests 4 times a day for 3 days. Most of my levels were good but a couple were out of line but this was also with taking the metformin. So now i have to have a consult about my diet. Yey!! So much fun. It isn't really a surprise to me because i am overweight. IT is a little more stressful because i am a picky eater and i also know that all the things i do eat are prohibited. my blood pressure is also up so they are putting me on meds for that. At this point i don't care i will do whatever it takes to have a healthy baby and a good pregnancy for myself. Everything else has been smooth sailing so far. Still no major symptoms. Can't wait till i get to see my bean again.

I knew when I plugged in the numbers from her measurements, that it wasn't looking good for her. I just wish I had a Perio that cared enough to tell me really what to expect. I just had to tell my kids, and they are so very hurt. After losing their brother a year ago, and celebrating his 1st birthday on Monday...now this. I can't believe we are going through this. The good news in all of this...My little Miss Marlo is doing well. Her growth is right on track, and she seems strong. This new Perio I saw today, doesn't anticipate any problems with her. I am trying to remain positive that she will be okay. She is absolutely beautiful. Please keep my family in your prayers...this has been a really tough week. Ready to get off this stupid roller coaster.
Mellow- I'm sorry sorry for your loss. It is so unfair how things unfold. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and hope as time goes by you feel a bit stronger. ((((((hug)))))). Yeah for Marlo!
