Hi Nicki,

Not too bad. Its definately easier this time 'round, though. Today I started to wonder what we'll do if its -ve. Do we try again? If so straight away or wait a month? Or just bite the bullet and go IVF?

In my heart I think we have a chance this time. Last time I felt very -ve about the result and wasn't suprised when it was a BFN. But this time is different.....everyone says don't get my hopes up, but I can't help it. If I do get a BFP, then my baby will be due around the 8th of march which is my wedding anniversary and my Nanna and Pop's b'days (same day, 4 years apart). Both are dead now but my Nanna died the day I met my DH and when my Pop died, we came back to Oz for the funeral and found our lovely house. We loved it and had to buy it, bringing us back home to my family where I belong. I really hope its them looking out for me.

How's the sperm situation? Any news? I'm thinking of you.

Well tomorrow I see my doctor again to see what the next step is.I hope he says we can do another iui.

July I do the tamoxifen thing again because the hosp lab is shut then in Aug I start injecting

I use gonal f and lucrin(not sure if this is a type of lupron) with iui.Has anyone else had these drugs with iui?
I feel that things are getting started now

Hey Holly,

My best friend's sister used the injections with an IUI and is now pregnant with twins! She has PCOS. So I would say its very successful! I'm glad your feeling positive....this one may be the one for you!

I'm ok. No longer stressing about the test tomorrow, I can't change the outcome. If its a BFN, then I;ll dust myself off and try again.

Hi guys,

I'm afraid I'm cutting and pasting, so if you've been to my thread, your're forgiven for skipping.

Sorry to say its again a BFN for us. I must say its been a pretty sharp learning curve for us. We have had a chat and decided to remorgage the house and try IVF fo rthe next cycle, IUI"s just weren't giving us any answers. I'm shattered. I'd love to say that I came out unscathed, but I am writing this after more than the acceptable couple of wines and I make no apologies. I'm angry, disappointed and down. All feelings I know will be gone when I wake up tomorrow, but tonight I feel them.

I thank you all for your continuing support - without you this would be so much worse.

I am so glad to have you around! I would like to join this thread and speak to all you girlies

My first donor IUI is sometime between 2mro and Thursday. Doing au naturel cycles month on month til I get BFP

Have the same deal as Nicki ie 10 ampules of donor sperm to be used up within a year. Have had 3 lots of bloods already since Thursday - oestrogen levels are rising but no LH surge yet. Am starting to feel really nervous about IUI - I know its nothing compared to IVF but I think its a mixture of the unknown, being apprehensive about the outcome and also not knowing til the day of IUI (I have to phone the clinic every day that I have bloods to find out levels then go in that afternoon). Is going to be tricky to explain leaving unannounced esp as I have a hospital job as a clinician and my patients will possibly have to be cancelled depending on what day it falls

Here's me stressing and its only the 1st cycle!!

Xrayem I'm so sorry to here your news of your recent BFN ..... how have you been feeling over the last 10 days?? Are your wounds slowly healing and have you made a decision about IVF as next step?? Take care xx

Nicki - that's great you've made a decision about clomid - I think because you have sussed your cycle and know you are ovulating you have made right decision. Go girl!

Off to have a relaxing bath now with candles and book

Nearly fainted this morning again with the bloods - the needle lost its suction and it was painful as a result as I think the needle dug in further! I think probably beacuse that same vein has had 3 lots of bloods in the last 4 days!! My other arm has less obvious vein so now I am stressing that 2mro they will struggle to get it from that arm

OMG I'm strssing over EVERYTHING !!

You'll be just fine, I was the same before my 1st IUI, but honey it's ok, and just think by the w/end ur'll be on the 2ww,

Yes, I had decided no clomid but will spk to nurse 2moro just to double check xx

Hi Lisa and Niki,

Lisa, I hope your IUI goes well! I remember my first one...I was so excited! We rushed out and bought a pregnancy mag and even a book of baby names....how naive of us.

I know what you mean about not knowing the day it'll be on. I am also in healthcare and there is nothing worse than cancelling patients, but luckily my boss knows when I've got to go, I've got to go! I try and make sure my lists are lightly booked on the mornings I think it'll be. That's about all I can do.

We are doing one more IUI, so I'll be with you guys a little longer. We are going for 3rd time lucky. I'm hoping the doc will up my clomid just a little more to increase our chances but at the same time dont want the side effects. AF is due on around the 28th July which means possibly an IUI on the 10th August. If that fails, we are going straight to IVF the next month. We are getting everything ready for IVF just in case.

Nicki, when's AF due for you? I hope we cycle together.

Are either of you on other threads? Like the August one?
