Nuala & Wanda, just wanted to say sorry about your BFNs. Nuala, I had exactly the same experience - started bleeding on day 12. It was heartbreaking not even getting to test properly. Take good care of yourselves and take some time out.

DH has now said that he's prepared to give FET a go. That'll be the end and, in a funny way, I think I'm only doing it to get some closure and know I can look back and say we did everything we could. I don't really expect it to work. Probably not the best attitude to go into it with but maybe I just can't bear to raise my hopes.

Probably will do it Oct or Nov as we've got a holiday booked in September. Hope everyone else is doing ok

Hello all,
Well I'm begining to get my hopes up. I've never got through this far without af showing!!!! Tried to persuade DH to let me buy a kit this afternoon but he was adamant that I shouldn't. He says if af still hasn't shown tomorrow then maybe. I've been like a cat on hot bricks all day - in and out of the loo just to check, but no sign. If af is going to show I wish she would just hurry up and get on with it then at least I'd know. I guess I was assuming that the bleeding would have started already so I'd never get to this point - maybe, just maybe.
Trying to keep a PMA. Will keep you all posted.

Love

Debbie, glad to hear most of Wed is past and allowing you to breathe again!

Katie + Debbie. I'm off tomorrow for a long weekend at MIL's cabin (in the woods and backs down onto a lake). I'll miss your big BFPs but will be back on Sunday or Monday to join in the cheering :)

Hi to everyone else.

Debbie

Things are certainly sounding good for you - just a couple of sleeps and your day will be here.

Stay positive.

Katie

One more sleep and you're there - keep fully charged with PMA and remember to focus on the positives.

Big hugs to you all.

Have a lovely w/e Debra - sounds like a particularly beautiful and romantic place.

Hi LittleP,
How are you feeling?

Debbie,
Sooooo glad you've made it past the 12 day mark. We are all cheering you on to test day!!!! Come on BFP!

Katie,
How are you holding up? Your BFP is almost here as well! Fingers crossed and praying hard for you!

Tracy,
Thanks for the dhea info! VERY interesting. I have already emailed our nurse to ask what our doc thinks of this. This might be a good last resort for some of us older women! The hope continues.

I went off caffeine yesterday! BOY! What a headache :x I was in so much pain, but I'm determined to stay off. The combination of you all being so sure there's a connection to our hormones plus the book I just finished also said caffeine blocks estrogen, I said that's it! No more! I hope it is completely out of my system by EC in early Oct. Who knows, maybe my fsh will go down too???

Oh, and Debra, I totally agree that Suz Somers comes across as an airhead. But let's face it, she has the time, the money, the resources and the VANITY to seek out and find the very best. So why not benefit from what she has found out? I'm making my husband read the section on male menopause - it's that enlightening! :D

Rainy here today - we needed it actually.

Has anyone heard from BigJ? I don't remember her saying she was going to be away for a while, but maybe that's what's going on. I hope she's alright. :?:
God Bless!

Randa, well done for the caffeine thing. Snap re. rain. It's not really stopped for about 5 days but been on and off for a couple of weeks, great 'summer', it was 8 degrees today....soooo boring.

Yes I've heard from BigJ recently. Today in fact, just a one-liner saying she'd be back very soon. Let's hope she's feeling somewhere close to her usual and wonderful self. Miss you Julie!

I got my timetable from the clinic today. Final scan on Fri 23rd Sept. so assume this means, all things being equal, EC + ET the following week, or thereabouts. How about my fellow downreggers - Sharon and Randa???

hugs
Debra.

Great, Debra! Feels good to have a schedule doesn't it? You are ahead of me. I will have final scan on Oct 7 and EC on Oct 11.
We have decided it will be another freeze all :(
Not thrilled about it, but at least we didn't have a fight. It was a calm discussion and he said that no matter what the results, this will be our last IVF without a transfer :)

Dear Stunningly Beautiful Randa (yep just peeped at your gorgeous wedding photos on the photo thread)....... at least you have closure on the discussions. You need to feel calm and positive going into this next round of tmt. I guess this means, you'll try for your first FET late 2005 or maybe early 2006? have you talked about when to start the FET side?

hugs
Debra.

Hello All,
Thanks for the good wishes. Af still not showed up so I'm getting more hopeful by the minute. If she shows up tomorrow I'm going to be even more disappointed now (if that's possible).
Think I will buy a hpt tomorrow assuming af hasn't shown up. Don't think I could stand another day like today.
PMA, PMA and keeping everything crossed.

Love

Hi girls,

Debbie and Katie - oh, the suspense is getting to us all - tonnes of PMA,PMA now and here's hoping for some excellent news from both of you - take care x

Debra/Randa - looks like us girls are approx. a week apart with our transfers. All being well we are looking at around 3rd Oct. Start down regging on 23 August with scan on 14 Sept and then commence HRT (that's a first for me - sometimes all these protocols with meds contradict our natural functions. I had hoped that I could have undergone this final FET in conjunction with my natural cycle - I know some clinics do that but I had no choice and here I am about to take HRT with an FSH of 4.9!!! But if that's how it's to be, so be it. At least it's a closely monitored and controlled treatment cycle doing it this way.

Debra, have a lovely weekend, sounds like bliss to me. Yes, I agree, what a stunner our Randa is. I had a quick look through the album yesterday and came across yours Debra with your family also - lovely. Also great to see Debbieed (on camels, if I remember) in Tunisia - you were brave.

Anyway thoughts with our two girls this week - GO GIRLS, GO!!!! :D :D

What sweet friends I have across the ocean! Yes, it's amazing what a make-up artist and a hairdresser can do in only 2 HOURS!!!! Add in some good photographers with thick lenses and trick lighting and waaala. Even a 43-year-old can look like a young bride. My Mom would be disappointed. She taught me to just say thank you and shut up. Thanks!

Debbie!!!! This is your time, I just know it! Thanks for keeping us informed so well. I think about you several times throughout the day.

Katie! Where are you? What is your update?

Debra, actually you are close. We will do a fresh cycle as quickly as possible following this Oct freeze cycle. Hopefully, end of 2005 early 2006.

Hope everyone is having a great day!
