Ellie, wow, 11 fertilized! Great news!
I'm bloated a little bit and actually feel worse today than yesterday, just after retrieval. I guess it's because I was at home yesterday and now I'm at work. I didn't get any spotting after the ER and didn't have to take Tylenol at all. Still a little bit sore.
M'BA, that's amazing that the nurse will come to your house to do the shot. I'm very happy for you.

The nurse just called:
I had 9 retrieved, 7 were mature, 5 fertilized and 1 is still "thinking" to fertilize or not. I'm very happy considering the amount of eggs I got. They will call me tomorrow with the transfer date.

Hello Girls!!, how many news!!!,
Congratulations kF 06 on your 5-6 embrios!!!!!!!!!

Elliecat, wow 11 eggs fertilized that's amazing!!

Bubby 21 eggs??, that's a lot!!, congratulations!!

M'BA good luck with trigger shot tonight, It is great that the nurse can go to your house, that way the pressure is not on your DH!!!

Meg your story was sooo funny, I told my DH about it, we were both laughing, we have a chocolate lab puppy, and when he gives me the shot we leave him out of the room because I can imagine him on top of my but while DH tries to give me the shot  (he barks of course because he wants in).

Tonia and Kelly, how did your ET's go???

About me, I had the ET today, it was great, I didn't feel a thing, even better that the trial transfer or the IUI's, they transferred 2 beautiful embrios, one 8 cells and the other 16 cells, we were so happy that we couldn't remove the smile from our faces!!!. Now the 2 ww!!!!!, my PG test will be on 11/20!!!!

Good luck to everyone and lost of sticky baby dust!!!!!!

vicky77, I'm happy your ET went very well. Did your clinic tell you to do bed rest? If yes, how many days? Mine doesn't say strict bed rest. They would want me to lay in bed most of the time the day of the transfer and relax the next day but I can walk and do other things.
I see they did a 3-day transfer for you. Was a 5-day transfer an option?

They told me to rest for about 2-3 days, not specifically bed rest, but mainly chill out, no stress, no hard work, so I took 2 days off at work, going back on Thursday. Regarding 3-5 day transfer, first they told me that they were going to see if a 5 day transfer would be better, but given that the embrios were growing really fast and well they decided not to risk it to the 5 days and transfer it on day 3. I guess mainly because I had 7 embrios , maybe if I would have had 15 or more they would have risked it ( but that's my thinking they didn't say this last part).....

My clinics never even talked about a 5 day transfer...they've always said 3. Not sure why? Hmm... I wonder.... And they also have 3 days bed rest...interesting how they are all so different...

vicky77, thank you for the info. It's so weird that some clinics say strict 5 day bed rest (get up only to go to the bathroom) and some, like mine and yours, say take it easy and relax and no strict bed rest at all.

Enjoy your 2ww! :)
how are your PIO shots, by the way? Do you feel better?

M'BA, my clinic does 5-day transfers when you have enough embies and if they look very good on day 3. Not many make it to day 5 that's why it's very risky. Supposedly, the success rates are higher for day 5 transfers but it's all questionable and not everybody agrees with that. Some people think that the embies do better in natural enviroment than in the lab. Who knows?!

KF

It is all so confusing sometimes...so many different theories! I'm sure they all have some basis...and it varies by each person too! I don't think my clinic does 5 day transfers at all, at least not with fresh. Who knows is right.... seriously, a person can drive themselves completly mad with all the different stuff...

Just staying calm over here...time is moving SO slow.

Yes, and I have even been reading on the web some articles about what to do after ET, and most articles even say that there is no proven benefit to resting, that if the embryo is genetically ok it will stick and otherwise it won't no matter what we do....so, who knows!!!!!!!, but just in case I will rest this 2 days, and by the way, I needed some mini vacations!!

With the PIO shots I have been doing ok, I have been applying heat to the area after and it has been great, the shot itself I don't even feel it, and most of the time I don't feel it the next day after as well.

Thank goodness I didn't have any nausea anymore, I am feeling great, so I just hope it remains that way!!, I am drinking plenty of fluids!!

Thanks for asking!!!!!! :D
