I think I am going crazy. They should have called by now with my FERT report. Just waiting here I can only think of bad things. I know only PMA but sometimes it is hard. Sorry I just had to vent. I am at work and no one knows what I am doing so I have no one to vent to here. Thanks for letting me ramble.

See all I had to do was vent and then they call. I have 3 possible furture Jeepers hanging on. We had 2 embies fertilized by ICSI and the other was fertilized naturally. Out of the 6 one was abnormal and 2 didn't fertilize at all. So I go in on Saturday 8/23 for transfer and then I will be officially PUPO. We will be transferring all 3 because of my age.

Hi Everybody,

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Helen. I'm 34, DH is 37. We've been struggling with infertility for over 2 years. I have endometriosis and PCOS. Have done 5 cycles of Clomid and 4 IUI's. The last IUI was at a very aggressive clinic - they had me grow 6 eggs. I felt horrible!
We're starting our first IVF cycle this month. I'm starting stimming - is that the word? tonight. I'm new to all the online IVF message boards, so forgive my future dumb questions about abbreviations and terms It is just been hell, emotional, mental, physical... So I figured it's time to get some support advice and friendship from women going through the same thing.

So, my first question is what should I avoid? I hear caffeine is bad. But how much is bad? Should I cut it out completely? Or is some okay? Should I be cutting it after transfer or prior? Is decaf okay?

Hey ladies

Val My follies were not maturing too fast either and so they upped my dosage of Menopur from 4 to 8 for the last 2 days before i triggered and it worked. Now you have increased your dose hopefully you will get the same result. Crossing my fingers for you ...


Well the ER went well. As i was laying down on the bed waiting to go in for ER there was a lady just coming out moaning and groaning really loudly and it freaked me out and i started to cry. i pulled it together in time though and i was panicking over nothing as it didnt hurt, i have had no pain or bleeding (although i think i have swollen up inside as its hard to insert the Endometrin suppositries).

As you may remember i had 4 good follies (but RE was dissapointed with there being only 4) and following increase in meds i got another 2 at the last minute, although they were very far behind my good 4.

Well they retrieved all 6, and i just got my fert report - the 2 were not mature (as expected) and of my 4 good ones 3 have fertilised. They had to do ICSI as my dh count was low this time - this was a big shock as he has always had an excellent count but for now i am just please there are 3 future babies dividing away as i write!!!!

ET will be Sat or Mon, they will call and let me know tomorrow.

Hey Everyone!
I would like to write personals and I hope to do that tonight or tommorrow sometime. I am so tired- that if I write them now, my typos would be worse then normal and unreadbale I hardly slept a wink lastnight and I had ER very early this morning. I just need a nap. I do hope you are all doing well.

My update: Our of my 11 follies they got 11 mature eggs- I was amazed. But now the next hurdle is to wait for the Fert report tommorrow Please send some good vibes to the universe for me that I get a few good eggs for transfer, I would be so grateful to you all. I am very proud of my ovaries, they worked real hard for me, even though they needed allot of juice they rose to the challenege and kicked butt

I am truly exhausted today, but wanted to post to you all. You were all the first ones I wanted to tell as you have been incredibly supportive.

I will be praying allot today

Hello Ladies... I want to send a congratulations to the new BFP's and the one's that this isn't your month I am praying for you to continue to be strong.

As for me, I told you all that I had been in pain since about last Friday or so. I went in for an ultrasound and was diagnosed with OHSS. I have fluid that has built up in my abdomen, which has caused all my pain. I was told to rest, drink plenty of Gatorade and increase my protein intake. I have another apt Monday morning to see if that helps, RE said if not they may have to drain the fluid. I am in pain, but I can say it is a relief to finally know what is causing it.

I had my third beta today and it was 2035, so it still rising normally. So, things are looking well. Hopefully I can get over this OHSS hurdle and get to have an ultrasound soon!!!!

Wow, there has been alot of activity today =) Yay for all the BFP's. Looks like there were several that had ER yesterday. Hoping you get great fertilization reports. To those of you stimming, hope you have mature follies =)

I got a call from my nurse today and we have one 2 celled embryo. I am excited. I told the nurse we have prayed for atleast one. Praying it continues to develop and I will have my transfer on Saturday.

Well I've got to go, we have Open House at school tonight so it will be a long evening. Have a great night ladies =)

I wanted to give you a quick update. I went in for my u/s and b/w today and I will be triggering tonight! YAY! So my ER will be Sat.

Well I did my FET this morning and we transerred 2. It went much better than last time so that was a relief. And, I'm officially PUPO I had my last acupuncture appointment this afternoon and that went well too. I will have my beta test on Tuesday, September 2.

So here's a question. I've decided to POAS this time around and I was wondering when I should do it. Since it was a FET I didn't do any stimming or HCG shot. So what do you think? I was thinking a week from Saturday, but I don't know. I just feel like it will help prepare me.

Chris - - It is weird with anesthesia that one minute your awake and the next it is over. This was my 8th surgery and I am still not used to it. I keep thinking this time I will know when they put me out. Congrats on your three!!

bell - Congrats on your FET!!

Well I had ER yesterday and they told me they retrieved 8 eggs. I got the call today from the embryologist and they said 6 out of the 7 were mature. What happened to the 8th? Anyway, of the 6 they did ICSI on only 3 fertilized. This is the same as last time. I really thought AP would increase this number. I was hoping for more, but you only need one good one right? So I have the same fert report as Chris and Kas. I will go in on Sat. for ET.

Turtles~ I know you wished to have more embies, but 3 is a good numbers and it seems to be a trend on the thread! I hope they divide like crazy.

bell-02~ I'm so glad your FET went so much better than the last time! YEAH for being PUPO!!
As for POAS, I think that you might want to wait a good week, like you said next Saturday sounds good. Hope you get your BFP!!

Amanda~ Congrats on triggering, one more shot and then it's ER...Sooo exciting to be there!

Muggsey~ One little fighter for you. You and jenolina have one and it only takes one. I know it's not the report you wanted but it's not the end of the road yet...still hope for you. Keep the PMA and I'll cross my fingers for your embie to keep dividing.

Kas~ 3 out of 4 is sooo good. I bet it was scary to hear that woman moan while coming out of ER room. It was painful for me during the procedure but not enough to moan but that same night I was in so much pain, I was laying on the floor screaming. Makes me nervous for this time. RE thinks that my ovary got twisted. The absolute most pain I've ever been in my life. I'm sure I'll be ok this time.

Chris~ Yeah for 3 Jeepers!! I hope they keep dividing and dividing!

JJake~ So glad you don't have OHSS. Better to check and know than to be left in the dark! Sounds like you're stimming really well! 3rd night without sleep doesn't sound like fun at all. Sending sleeping dust!!

I cut caffeine out completely for the past 2 months. I'm a chocolate addict and I've hardly been eating any . I hardly eat sweets under the recommendation of my acupuncturist and have incresed fruits and veggies.
For a list of abbreviations, go back to the main forum and it's the second sticky. You'll find loads of info, especially on the last couple of pages.

Well, as for me the increase in meds has helped my follies grow 2 or 3mm in one day. My E2 numbers today are 2217! I did see a couple more follies (like Kas had) but will not mature on time of course.
I do believe I will trigger tomorrow....AT LAST and ER on Sunday.
For a while, I thought I'd be bringing in the rear!
I'm hoping for 4 good eggs out of the bunch.

Tropical storm Fay is still giving us a hard time...lots of rain and nasty lightning as we speak!

To our ladies in the 2ww~ I hope you are all doing ok and has anyone POAS yet?
Babycrazy...How is the PMA..any news from you?

Hey quick question,

For the last few days i have had bad heartburn/indigestion.... Any ideas??? I have only ever experienced this a few times in my life and never suffer from this, yet its been non stop last few days...

I have tried to work it out and i think it may have started with the trigger shot (thats the first time i remember noticing it), ANyone else experienced this???? Also does anyone know if its ok to take some anti-acid over the counter remedies for this??? My ET will be Sat or Mon.

I just got a fresh pineapple - do i start this now or wait for ET??

ANy help gratefully received!!!!

kas101~ I'm not entirely sure where the heartburn/indigestion comes from but it could be the hcg. Don't forget that we are pumped with hormones and our bodies are bound to react to it. It's safe to take tums while pregnant, so I would think it's ok now too. Perhaps eating some bland food will help you. Last cycle, I had problems after ET with burping. I burped left and right...so lady like but I couldn't stop. Although I've never had heartburn in my life.

You can start eating pineapple now and get another one for ET. It can't hurt and don't forget to eat the core.
