Well, the verdict is in...I get triggered in 2 and 1/2 hours, then ER Friday morning early. My estradiol was still high today (although it was no higher than yesterday so at least it stayed the same versus increasing). They gave me a new drug to take starting tonight, for 8 days, that is supposed to help decrease the chances of OHSS (the drug decreases the enzyme that leads to OHSS). The name of the drug is Cabergoline. Anyone ever take it?

Other than that, everything still looks good with at least 15 ripe follies, maybe more by Friday. Also, tonight is my final Lupron injection and my final Dexamethasone pill and then I'm MED FREE except for pills only (theCabergoline and Tetracycline after the ER). Can we say Y-E-A-H!!!

First thing on Saturday's agenda.....chocolate!!! Oh, and did I mention that I saw yet another rainbow today, right over my hotel?!

I'll keep you updated as usual. Until then, everyone take care. And deftonesmo, I just wanted to say that I'm really sorry for your news. Must be so hard, but you sound strong. Use this time to gather information and decide how to proceed that's best for you. You're in my thoughts. And for what it's worth, my RE had me on a protocol designed to yield better quality eggs (versus a high number of eggs). I took Dexamethasone, which is a pill, but I think it is indeed some type of growth hormone. (This is in response to your question to ghost--I just decided to write it here). Good luck.

MikeandJess- exactly I couldn't believe it took so much waiting but now it feels like we are moving. I can't help but be nervous or maybe its excitement!!?? Sorry to hear about your basement.

Sunshine.12- Hope you are feeling better today!! Your right it feels like it is going to go really fast I just talked to the nurse and we will be starting to stim tomorrow and she reminded me about the antibiotics we are also supposed to start taking tomorrow also and I was like "already" that makes me feel like the ER is coming quick.

Belle-02 - No kidding about AF, in the 3 years we have been TTC I begged her not to show and now I was begging her to just get on with it already! Congrats on BFP!! How many embies did you transfer??

Katie99 - Thanks, everything went well I hate those ultrasounds (I probably wouldn't if I was looking at a baby in there though) I had lots of follies, and my E2 was good, more BW Monday. Happy 4th to you also, are you still waiting on AF??

AFM, I had my second scan yesterday and there wee lots of follies. Quite a few above 10mm but lots under that too. So they send to have a half dose of stims drug last night and none tonight. It looks like a Monday retrieval not wednesday now but they will tell me tomorrow for sure. I am feeling so bloated and my ovaries hurt! Otherwise absolutley fine.

Hello ladies!!!
Well I went in for my bw and u/s and they found another follie!!! Yay!!! So I have 7 and they are all measuring right. I'm really nervous and exited I don't know what to think I've never had so many!!! They said that I have to go back tomorrow for more bw and u/s and then I might have to trigger tomorrow or saturday.
It's really weird for me to move according to my protocol, on my previous cycles I had to change meds half way or stay on meds longer, so probably after 4 tries they found the protocol that fits me. Oh boy... Thank you all for your good wishes, they are really paying off!!!

Sorry I can't get to personals just now, but I will catch up with you a little later, I need to put DS to bed. But I couldn't wait to tell my cyber friends this good news!!!

1st Beta: 587!!! I think I am 18 days past ovulation.

Congrats Daisy!

Iwent for my third ultrasound this week today and they have found too many follies. So now I have to 'coast' and see if we can get my E2 levels down as they said they are very concerned about OHSS with the number of follies. I am a bit worried I may get cancelled now. I take buserelin still and a very low level stim on sunday and back to hospital twice on Monday.

I don't really understand because I have had a much lower dose than last time and a much stronger response!

hi Angie - Ask your RE about a med called Cabergoline. I believe its realitively new but is used to help prevent OHSS. Good luck, Hang in there! Keep us posted
