Hi ladies,

I've been roaming around all over the place here this morning and have decided to drop in here as well. I was 40 in may and am currently in day 2 of taking synarel. I go for my injections on tomorrow and all going well my ec day is set between Aug 31-Sep 2 with et on sep 5. Blood test on Tues had fsh at 15.5 but they're trying with me regardless that they want it under 10. I'm feeling very lucky and very scared about it all. I'm not sure which group to join here, whether I should be in Sept buddies or Aug, hopefully someone can help me out with that.

Good luck with your blood test tomorrow Katie ;)

Paula,
Welcome! Woo hoo, another over-40-crowd mommy-to-be!

You are very close to your cycle. So glad you found us. We are a fun, supportive and wise group! :) I have learned so much from the other women on this board, it's incredible.

You should feel free to chat with both the Aug and Sept cyclers. You will be with the Sept 2ww (that's two week wait) ladies and testers, which will be very exciting.

I'll be after you this round, but there are others who will cycle closer to you than I.

Wishing you the best of luck. No reason to be afraid, you are surrounded by friends going through the same thing and many, many who have already gone through it. We are here to help.

God Bless!

Hello All,
I'm still here with af still not showing up - although I really do feel as if she is about to show (or is that my imagination just running wild with me?) I also feel sick but I think that is just the worry/stress/pressure.
I'm going shopping with my Mum soon so will just have to buy a hpt, despite the fact that dh doesn't want me to. My previous two tmts have resulted in me bleeding heavily by now so I'm really hoping that this is good news, if it's nature just being cruel I don't think I could stand it. I'd rather have had af show up yesterday.
Guess I'm rambling now but then I am a gibbering wreck today.
Perhaps I'll have some news for you all later.
Love
Debbie

Hello All,
I gave in to temptation and did a hpt and got a BFP :D :D :D
We can hardly believe it. Just hoping that the clinic confirm this tomorrow and that the test isn't wrong.

Feeling on cloud nine.

Take care all

Hi Girls,

Sorry haven't been around much lately and looks like I have alot to catch up on.

Firstly sorry Wanda and Nuala take cxare of yourselves I'm thinking of you.

Debbie congratulations again.

Katie one more sleep I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another BFP this week.

Debra go girl with that FSH well done.

Randa cycling again best of luck and loads of baby dust.

Sorry if i have missed anyone.

Well it looks like I will be cycling in September, wasn't sure if DH wanted to give it another go but he does and my clinic will do everything for me, I don't need to see the other Consultant again. I will be having my FSh done again this month to see how it is but they say not to worry it is only showing what my ovaries have told them anyway. My acy is helping for the first time this cycle my temparature has stayed up post ovulation normally it hags around 36.4 and spikes up and down that represent bloos stagnation but this month it went up to 36.6 post ovulation then 36.8 and it has stayed at 36.7 since so hopefully everything is starting to work correctly. I'm starting to get excited again now.

Take care,

Love,

Jane

Debbie...so happy you are pregnant!!!!!! We needed another over 40 expecting mommy.[/color]

Sorry guys my results were negative...I can't thank you all enough for all the good wishes..and you too Paula...glad you are with us!!!

I posted this on the regular board...I am going to adopt a small batch of frosties next cycle. They are a really good match..so keep you fingers crossed for me. I have seen a photo of the siblings(cute, cute and look like me ..same coloring etc.)..the parents completed their family and donated the remaining embies. Chances are slim they may not survive the thaw or implant) but guys I really want these babies.

Happy Pregnancy Debbie...(you know over 40 moms are the best!!!)

Katie,
You are amazing. I hope if I get a negative that I can handle it as well as you. What a great example you are. I'm sorry things didn't happen this time, but it sounds like you have a plan for making your dreams come true and I pray they do!!!! :D
Good luck with the donor embies!

Hi Girls,

I don't feel like I belong in the over 40 group after my day at the hospital. I started my injections today and was so petrified when I seen the needle I made a complete fool of myself and started to cry

I'm not sure how i'm going to be able to do this to myself tomorrow. The nurse wanted me to do it today but I just couldn't. The actual needle wasn't as bad as I imagined in my head when I seen it, but just looking at it and thinking that I would have to actually inject myself with that thing is what freaked me out the most.

Thanks for the sweet welcome Sharon. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and talk to you as well.

Katie, Hugggs, I'm so very sorry to hear that you had a bfn, but i'm so inspired to see your courage and your spirit. I will be praying for you, that your dreams come true with your next attempt. Take care of yourself and thanks for welcoming me.

Hi Paula,
I had the same fear...but YOU CAN DO IT. Try this: Say these words, (while you are injecting), "My new baby is worth this and more, My new baby is worth this and more...).By the time you've said it a few times your injection will be over.
DH can also inject you. Alot of ladies have their hubbies do the deed (keep your eyes closed  ).
