I feel alot better this morning after reading your 2 post G and Em. I had terrible cramping yesterday all day. lasted over 12 hours and didn't know why (even posted a thread "confusing ovulation pains") as had iui on Wednesday and thought surely I can't just be ovulating now after 48hrs later?? But by the sounds of it you have both had the cramping too so lets hope its a good sign gor both of us G, nice to be on the 2ww with you! What day have you been told to test?? My AF would be due Thurs 27th July so really want to say that is my test date but nurse said to wait til the sat 29th July just to make sure so thought I'd split the difference and say FRIDAY 28th (the day I fly to Italy for hols)

Em...Thanks for the info. The doctor used some kind of tool (not sure what its called) to straighten out my cervix. It worked but did hurt. I go in next Wed. for blood and ultrasound and then in the following Wed. the 26th for preg. test. I might have to start progesterone but we will see.

How are all you lovelies this morning?? G hope you don't mind me asking - just curious - what are they looking for when you go in for bloods and ultrasound next week?? Are they already looking for the pregnancy hormone (HCG is it??) in your bloods??
How is everyone else this morning - I am feeling GOOD Chilled out all day yesterday in the garden, lunching with my friend and I have to say feeling fantastic without any alcohol in my system! Could def get used to this
My brother and his wife had a baby girl last night named Rosa - lovely news should be going there tonight but part of me still a little upset (we have been ttc'ing since before they had their 1st and you know how it hits home when something like this happens) Anyway hoping she will get home today so I don't have to visit the dreaded maternity ward

Lis. I don't mind at all. They have you come in the week after to monitor your progesterone and estradiol levels. If your prog. is low they will start you on suppositories (YUK!). I do think they look for HCG levels but only to compare it to the following week. That following week is when they check for HCG over 5 for a positive. Congrats on your new neice. I know how you feel. My brother-in-law and sis.in lw are pregnant. Not a good situation and were'nt trying. It's hard I know. But I just smile about it. Have a good/relaxing Sunday. That's all I've been doing this weekend. G

Nicki...I was reading through some of the conversations at the beginning of the thread and noticed that you were concerned with your Dh not going with you for your IUI. I just wanted to let you know that mine couldn't take extra time off so I went by myself. We did a double IUI. One on Thursday and one Friday. He went in the morning to drop off his "stuff" and then I went two hours later for inseminations. After they were finished I called him at work on my cell phone and talked to him while I was laying there for the 15 min. It wasn't bad at all. Also, this was the first time we did a double and if you are still considering it, I would go for it. I don't have any results yet but I think it betters the chances. Hope this helps. G
thanks G, Dh wont be iui'ing with me again this time, but i am totally cool about that now and so is he, last time was a bummer, but becasue we need to be focused we need to stop stressing over stuff that could effect us getting BFP.
So I am going this alone, however I know that dh ill be with me mentally all the way, and he's there when i get home, thats cool with us this cycle.
My whole attitude this time is more relaxed and positive.
Just feelin a tad urgh!! on the clomid but hey its in agood cause!!!!

I just wanted to pop into here and say Hi to all of the IUI girls again and to thank you for all the support I received from this thread earlier on this year. I am back again but doing IVF now so don't really belong here. I wish you all well though
Dh and I went in yesterday for our 1hr. IVF class and the nurses said since you are here we will take your blood so you don't have to come in the morning. I guess they don't do an ultrasound. The last clinic we were at did an ultrasound the week after IUI to see if you for sure ovulated. So all they wanted was blood. They will call me today with numbers and let me know if I need to start progesterone.
Has anyone ever had a cold while going through all of this? I started to get a sore throat last night and still have it today. I'm hoping I don't get a fever. But I'm not sure what to take or what not to??? Any Ideas???

No never had a cold whilst doing tmt, however on my last IUI i had a cold come right at the end th same day i got BFN....
LEt us know your blood results, what will this determine???
