The IUI girls

I did IUI last week so I'm waiting until next week for preg. test. They were checking my blood level (progesterone) today to see if it was low. If it is then I have to start taking progesterone supplements every day. If this doesn't work we will be starting IVF next month. We had to take a class yesterday before we can start. My doc. wanted to try an IUI in between while waiting for IVF session in Aug. I'm hoping that this last IUI works. IF not we move to IVF.

The nurse just called with my progesterone level. She said it was good and I didn't need the supplements. She didn't tell me the exact number, she said it was greater than 20. Does anyone know anything about progesterone levels? Mine tend to fluctuate every month and I never know what number I should be at. Any info. would be great! Thanks, G

Well done Nicki! Starting already! I wish mine would hurry up and get here.....I'm sick of waiting.

G - you are in the same boat as me. We had our IVF nurse counseller meeting yesterday and she explained it all....bit scary when she started pulling out needles and the like! I really, really hope this IUI works because otherwise we'll be starting IVF in September.

Hows the 2ww treating you Lis? Hope you are nice and relaxed.

G - how are you doing on the 2 ww? I hope you don't have to get to the IVF stage cos you'll get your BFP next week. What day are you testing??

Nicki how's it going buddie - is the clomid reaking havoc already?

Well I'm still waiting patiently ..... I sure hope future 2 ww (if i need them!) are quicker than this .Can anyone advise if the first is the worst??

I'm doing o.k with the 2ww...how are you doing? When do you go in to test. I'm going on the 26th. Hopefully I don't see AF before that. When is a good time to try a hpt??? I'm so tempted to try one this weekend but I know it will be too early. When was your IUI again?? Mine was the 13th and 14th. Any different feelings? I have none except a cold. Keep me posted.

G my iui was 12th July - just one day before you. I've been told to go in for bloods on 29th July (saturday) which is 17 days after iui. I think that's because after you ovulate your cycle is always between 12 - 16 days long never longer so if AF hasn't showed before then then it should be pretty certain its a BFP. However my cycles are very regular therefore based on my 30 day cycle I should be testing on 27th July, a day after you. Also I am on holiday in Italy on Sat 29th July so I really want to know before then (I go on the 28th). I have therefore decided to test on the Thursday 27th if AF hasn't arrived.

Like you I am so tempted to do a test earlier. I think this weekend is too early unless you try the early predictor HPT - you can test up to 5 days before. The closer to your due date the more accurate it becomes. I think it is only about 55% accurate 5 days before altho don't quote me on that! Altho I keep thinking of testing before then I am scared to also

so I think I'll play it by ear. Let me know what you decide!

Lis, I might wait until Sun. or Monday to test. We are going away this weekend to my in-laws. I hate taking a test by myself and I like to test when my Dh is around so Sun. or Monday evening will be better. I will wait and see if I get any symptoms to make me wonder. Did you happen to go in to doc. yet and get blood work done for levels? Do they do that? G

Hi girls!!!

Holly, good luck with yoru injection lesson, tues. I have on that day my 1st follie scan. I am excited to see if follies are bigger than last time.
Ive not ben feeling all that great on the clomid so really want to know that its made a difference and been worth my time on clomid..

Wont be around this w'end so woshing ya all a good week end, have fun and enjoy the sun!!!

And Lisa and G, dont be temped to test be good and wait!!! x xx

Em..I agree the Ivf stuff sounds scary. I'm hoping we won't have to go that route. When the nurse said that I would need to take 90 days worth of shots afterwards I almost fainted. Have a good weekend.

Nicki...I know it is too early to test but I am VERY tempted. I've never had any luck testing this early anyways. I will try very hard to wait. Thanks for getting me back to reality!!!!

Nicki sorry to hear you're not that great . Put your feet up and get dh to do all the house work and cooking!!

G - my clinic don't do blood work up after iui - only blood test if you think you're pg. I meant to say last post when you asked if I had any symptoms - on Thursday and Friday ( 8 and 9 days after iui) I had lower back pain - the kind i get when I have af) and abdominal cramping like ovulation pain. Would like to think this is a good sign but to be perfectly honest I think I am over analysing everything! Sometimes I even wonder if I am dreaming up these symptoms!!

Yes lets wait together and not be tempted to do HPT. I have decided that the earliest I would do one is Wednesday which is the day before AF is due and 3 days before clinic suggests. If I get AF type pains on Wednesday like usual then I won't test. If AF dosen't arrive by Thursday and no sign of her then I'll test then. Is your official date wed 26th ??

I'm off on 2 week hols now yepee

. Have deliberately organised stuff up til Wednesday so I don't test before

cos I know I won't want to test before meeting up with friends etc because if I get BFN

I won't feel like company.

Feeling like crap, i am sure its clomid making me feel this way. Feel like i am about to have a cold, I feel tired, headachy, tearful, very low, and urgh!! I have no energy, and my throat is so sore!!

Dh has been great, but i am dragging him down too, which in turns drags me down even lower. I feel awful for wasting a w/end too, I am so wound up in myself, I am so not me right now!!!

If I get bfp this time wayhay!!! but if bfn comes then I am never taking clomid again!!!

Tues, is the next day for me to see the clinic, really hope it's worth it and have big follies!!!

G & Lisa, be strong, youre half way there, hoping for bfp from ya both!!!
