Bollocks #**###@!!!! - Just as I'm getting my spirits up in time for Christmas, the clinic called today to say that our donor had pulled out. (Changed her mind - which in all fairness, they're perfectly entitled to do...) So no FET with DE for January now. (Sorry, Rebecca and KellyM - I won't be keeping you company next month, but will definitely be there to cheer you guys on from the sidelines!)

It was a long shot anyway, as egg share in this clinic is extremely rare but I was really pinning my hopes on this one.

Now I have to change clinics and start afresh which mean more tests, more scans, and more waiting. Have booked appt for this Wed already, but sad to leave this doc as he's been amazing. (We've been through alot together!)

Feel like crap now after all that - and thinking maybe I should hv given my own eggs one last try this month first before making the move...?? God I'm pathetic!

Hi girls

Just popping in quickly to say i am thinkig of you but been so busy just now with work etc.
Also feeling a bit yuck with af this week. Dont know what thats about as i usually never get any probs, think its maybe just my body getting back to normal after two cycles so close.

ANYWAY THE GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY.
Cant bloody believe it. Basically i asked my consultant about the hysteroscopy and she keeps saying nothing is wrong apart from blocked tubes. She did Lupus (spelling) Antibodies blood test (6 vials) this is usually done on women who continually miscarriage and it can tell you why the embryos might not be implanting---she will send me the results.I then asked about our free cycle on the NHS, thinking it was about a year away but she said they have had more funding from the Health Trust and we only have to wait 2-3 months-----nearly fainted. Then we spoke about finding a donor her so i can take advantage of the free cycle and she told me about the woman who advertised in the local paper not so long ago and got a good response. She said the clinic can do this for us putting all the info via the acu unit so its kept anonomous and they pay----nearly collapsed. THen she said the amount of eggs the lady produces are ALL ours and as its a NHS cycle, they pay for storage and for the donor---------heart attack took place. Just cant believe it and when i left the unit i burst into tears, on my own in the corridor-----fool.The only thing is that they got a good response from the donors last time but when some people see what they have to go through, they drop out but we only need about 3 or 4 so they can select a good one--------then we need on 1---there must be 1 person willing to do this??????????????So now we have our FET, then depending on the outcome of the donor advertisement, we might get some more eggs------praying already. As the donor has to have all the health tests that we did, it takes quite a few weeks so the admin girls is putting together the add as we speak and then she will send it to us and we check it, then put it in the paper as soon as possible so we can cycle in a few months.

About bloody time there was some good news.

Andrea - So sorry about your donor, hang in there babe

Catch you all tomorrow

Hi Jen, fantastic news! I’m so pleased for you. :D I’m not surprised you nearly collapsed in the corridor – with all that information and unexpected good news. Glad you now have a few good options. Wishing you all the luck in the world that everything with the donor will fall into place for you soon.

Andrea – so sorry you didn’t get that egg share opportunity. Sounds like your doc has been very supportive – do you already have an idea which clinic you can go to for DE? You’re still moving forward so try not to let it get you down and stay strong. Hugs xxx

I been trying to post since Monday but my computer has just been refusing to submit my posts. But it seems to be working again now so here's a quick update from me. My lining was 6,8mm on Monday (cycle day 9) - and my next appointment is tomorrow. Sounds like I’ll have to increase the meds earlier this time. Good to know that my clinic is giving some thought on what to do different this time round.
I have caught a bit of a cold and am feeling exhausted – which I can’t be doing with at the moment - so better get some sleep…

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Love
Sonia

Hi girls - where is everyone?! Hopefully going all out and enjoying the festive season...

Jen1D - what a bloody nice break! You deserve it! And all free too. I really like the sounds of your NHS in UK...

Sonia - Keep working on that lining girl! Keep us updated on your ET schedule (before Xmas?)

As for me - well, its funny how the tide turns so quickly in the space of one week (yet again!). I had a couple of hairy days when I felt like jumping out the window, then I went to this new clinic on Wednesday which has connections with an overseas egg donor program. I had seen this dr once before to check her out so she already knew my miserably history. I was talked into a DE programme that started in Jan so was put on the pill immediately for a mock cycle next month! It is really just to explore my cycle in preparation for DE in the upcoming months. I'm moving some frosties over from my old clinic (own eggs from last cycle) so have the option of turning it into a FET in Jan!

Thanks for your words of encouragement again. So who else will be cycling in the new year with me?

Only 10 more days until Xmas! Enjoy your weekends everyone!

Andrea

Well it is quiet around here. I had not been on all week and thought that I'd have pages to catch up on!

Hope that everyone is having a good time in the run up to Xmas.

Gill - hope that you have had a fab holiday babe

JB - hope that you have had fun with your mates and away from tmt

Jen1d- awesome news. You have lots of options now. This will really take the pressure off when you do the FET. You can relax - knowing that you have the free cycle too. So pleased for you babe

Sonia - sounds like your lining is great and they are adapting from what they learn last time. Fingers crossed that you'll be at ET very soon

Andrea - so sorry about the donor but sounds like you have a fab new plan at the new clinic. It is good that they started you on a trail cycle already

Chriss - hope that you are taking it easy and that the 2ww is not too painful

Anna - hope that you are enjoying the run up to Xmas with Matthew. Exciting times

Hugs to everyone else.

Xmas tree up this afternoon. Think that almost all the pressies are bought and mostly wrapped. Just food to get. Have stocked up on the basics already. Need to get the house clean and tidy tomorrow now that the hallway is decorated (finished Friday when it was supposed to be done at the end of October!). Parents coming from Thursday for about a week. Youngest sister coming on Saturday. Middle sister here on Boxing Day evening with her dh and my niece and nephew. So quite a house full.

Meds arrived from Spain but not thinking about it. In denial at least until the New Year!

Love to you all. Thank you for your support which is invaluable.

Hi Everyone

Jen1d - Fantastic news, so glade that things are looking up for you. Free cycle will be great. 2008 will be the best year ever.

Chris - Hope you are resting, thinking of you on the dreaded 2 ww.

Jenbabes - Glade you are keeping busy and enjoying yourself.

Andrea - sorry to here about your donor but sounds like your new clinic are in control by starting you on a trial run. Lets hope this goes smoothly.

I am still taking the pill at the moment and waiting for IM to contact me to start the patches. Just wondered whether you IM ladies could let me know that when IM e-mail me to start the patches, do they then tell me about the donor. :?: I will be coming to the end of my first packet on boxing day so I assume I carrying on with the next packet until I receive an e-mail from them.

Wanted to also ask advice about drinking. I have been but as soon as I start the patches I am going to knock it on the head. Wanted to know other peoples thoughts on this. :?

Enjoy Xmas everyone

Love Lucy

Chris, I'm soo sorry! Hang in there, January is going to be a big month for a lot of us!

Hugs and kisses to Jen1d, Lucy, Kelly, Rebecca, Carolyn and everyone else out there! This is such a crazy time of the year, I hope everyone is taking a few moments for themselves! Me, I spend my moments alone with some yummy chocolate truffles. Guess my New Year's resolution is to lose a few pounds...

Chriss - so very sorry to read your news. Big hugs babe. It does get easier as the days pass by. Honest

Happy Christmas to everyone else.

I'll not be around much over the next week as I have a house full of people to stay. Some of whom know about tmt and some of whom do not.

So hope that the New Year will bring us all our dreams. Thank you for all your support. Would not be sane without all of you.

Lots of Love to you all.
