Tammy- I'm taking prenatal vitamins. But not the baby aspirin. They don't want me to start taking it until the day of ER because of the fact that it can increase bleeding. I thought the acupuncture would help me out there, but guess not. I plan on eating tons of spinach today. I thought I was doing good with the folic acid, but I guess not good enough. Hummmm. I'm pretty sure I will trigger tomorrow.

My doc had me stay on the baby aspirin all through ER. I had very very little bleeding. They told me to expect more than I actually got. Spinach is a very good idea. Good Luck!

so the number of follicles they count as suppression is the most you can have grow? or can smaller ones they couldnt see grow once you are on the stim drugs?

I had 5 on one side, 6 on the other. So is that the most I can have by ER? or could more pop up?

I believe more can pop up because that is what the meds are for.

Wow....hard being on West Coast time...so many posts this morning:)

Noooo....I didn't get at day off from pricking...arrgh..had to go in for b/w today. I guess they want to make sure the HCG is in there doing it's thing....Just got the call that it is.
The shot was easy, but the site on my tummy is more red & sore than a regular shot. I don't have a lot of fat there...bloat, not fat I tell myself so I guess it's closer to the surface. No side effects yet...other than the regular sore breasts and little twinges.

Question on the PIO injection needles. What size do you girls have? I have a 1" 25 guage..is that normal? I want the smallest I can get away with

Tammy: 8 is great!!! & I'm glad the pain is subsiding. I still don't understand all this 3 day, 5 day stuff. Didn't somebody post an article a few days ago, where the doctor said that the embie is in the fallopian tubes for around 5 days anyway & the petrie dish is more like a fallopian tube environment than the uterus. So 5 day outside the body is better. That if they don't make it to 5 day, they wouldn't have made it in the uterus either ? So if you want to do 5 day, why wouldn't they let you? Then you know you're putting in a good embie.
With 8 eggs, isn't there a good chance that 2 will make it through 5 day? Then those 2 will be be super duper embies

A 3 day embie in the uterus is not in the environment it's supposed to be either, so that's not necessarily better.
I get so crazy trying to figure out what's best for the woman vs convenience/ safety for the clinic.
Ok I'm done with my hormonal rant LOL
I just want so badly for everybody to get everything they're wishing for.

Weezie: I'm not taking the asprin until after ER either. The PIO shots should help thicken it up too if it's not quite there. Everything else looks great though...I have 11 & my E2 was 2739, so you would be 600 more for 3 more follies.

Sug: My RE told me 3 day embies implant 2 or 3 days after ET & 5 days are the day of or next day so I asked why, if they were implanted, couldn't you tell pregnancy earlier. He said each woman processes the HCG injection differently, so the numbers of HCG are all over the place & since that's the hormone measured for pregnancy it's hard to tell earlier.
I'm sooo excited that you'll know in less than a week!

Marin: I think it's hard for them to see all at suppression, but it works both ways. I had 12 at suppression & now 11...one guy didn't co-operate. You'll see too how they just spring up from day to day on the u/s...it's exciting.

Mia: How are things today? u/s & b/w. Are you triggering tomorrow?

Sage: I got a really light AF 3 days after stopping bcp & the day I started my Lupron. It should be fine & plenty of time to build it up again.

Loopie, Amy: Are you girls ready?? Amy..how was your trigger?

I did my hcg shot last night and maybe I am just a baby, but it did sting quite a bit.. I have bruises everywhere between the stims, lupron and accupuncture but it will all be worth it! I go in for ER tomorrow morning at 9:30!! We are very excited.. I pray that my 4 big follies produce some nice mature eggs that fertilize! No one else really complains about the injections so I wonder if I did them wrong or if I should have tried to eat more fast food! Best of luck to all of you waiting for good news or going in this week for ER or ET!!

my PIO needles are 22guage - again, may I have you ponder a mcdonald's straw! 25 is not bad, but it is bigger than trigger and gannerilix needles- they are 27s

We are in Atlantic City. We just checked in to our hotel. We already hit the casinos, just about even at this point.

This is really a nice getaway with my DH. Like everyone says, it plays with your mind if you are thinking about things 24 hours a day.

It has been exactly one week since "Emby 1" and "Emby 2" were transferred. It has been an interesting week. Between nausea, crying and a really sore chest, it has been hard.

The nausea is not so bad now, just a little in the morning. I know it is not morning sickness, it is just wierd how it happens in the earlier part of the day and is gone by dinner.

My dog slept with us last night and accidentally kicked me in the chest, and it was very painful. Luckily, she is only 12 lbs, so there wasn't much force.

I talked to a woman I know who went through IVF herself. She also went to my clinic. She did two attempts, the first try didn't make it to ER. The second netted her a BFP and she has a beautiful 7 year old daughter. A few years later when she was thinking about trying again, voila, it happened naturally.

I was asking her what symptoms she had during the 2ww and she said sore chest, cramping like AF was coming and being emotional (aren't we all?)

Well, I have had the chest and emotional outbursts, but I hadn't really had cramping since the ER pain had lessened. Low and behold, in the middle of the night, I started cramping. Maybe my mind is just messing with me. I am still cramping a bit. I know all of this is probably just the PIO, but I am being cautiously optimistic. My friend told me she took a HPT the day before her beta and it was positive. I have thought about that, on a break from a Superbowl party, just sneaking away and doing one, but my DH wants me to wait. I probably will wait.

We have been talking to the Emby's alot, asking them to stick.

Tammy, 8 is wonderful. I was so scared when I heard I only had two. Everyone kept saying, "It only takes 1", but I wanted some more. Oh well, I hope my two are strong and taking hold.

Rio - The reduction question is a hard one. I go back and forth on the subject in my own mind, and don't really know what I would do in that situation. With only two, shouldn't be an issue, but my DH's grandpa was an identical twin, so who knows. I guess you will have to search your soul to find the answer. Sorry we can't be more help.

Suga- Getting close now. I am praying for a BFP for you.

Well, off to the casino we go. My DH told me he is very happy that I have found this site, and that I have people to talk to who are going through the same thing. I am thankful as well.

My syringes have the 22G on them, but they have me change the needle heads. Good idea...take the fertilty pendant, crystals, whatever it takes. Somebody told me to put pics of kids or kids things in the back right room of my house....feng shui I guess. I put some art from my 4 yr old neice in there too.

Amy: my Hcg injection site still hurts too & my stomach is also bruised. But now we have brusied butts to look forward to

Drink lots of H20 all day & before midnight to make sure you're hydrated tomorrow.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I use 23 G 1" needles for the progesterone shots. Just getting bruised from having to do it in the same places every night. I am switching sites every other but that does not help too too much. My muscles are starting to get lumps in them from all the meds.

Thanks for the info on day 3 and 5 transfers and when they implant into the uterus. I did not know that! So I really could be prego now! lol. My mom makes me laugh because she is already shopping for baby clothes and wants to know the sex. I think it is cute but it will be so sad if I am not prego this time around. She says that I am and that it is twins haha.

So this is odd. But if I take in the groceries or just walk to much or take a nice stretch my uterus tightens up and twinges?? Not like hurt but just odd feeling. Anyone had this before? Also, when I take a shower my boobs go down in the swelling (TMI lol). Does this happen to anyone? haha

Let me ask some of you. Today I am really feeling WAY bloated. A ton of pressure. Were all of you this uncomfortable right before trigger? DH took me to lunch and then to the mall and I couldn't even walk through the whole mall. Then he wanted to buy me clothes. Yeah, right. Not the way I feel. I've got to trigger tomorrow. Oooo, I just looked at my needles for the PIO and I will be using 22g. ouch!

Well, I'm going back to rest up before we go to dinner tonight. BABY DUST to all!!!!!

Hey girls. I went ot the RE and he was happy again! I've got: Left: 17, 16, 14, 10, 10; RIGHT: 19,19,18,17,15,12, 10. E2 is 1000 so it doubled from yesterday! ER will be on Tuesday, but RE still wants me to go in tomorrow and have one ore u/s and b/w.. not sure why...

Weezie: I just started feeling bloated today too and feeling more pressure. Looks like we will have the same ER day!

Suga: not sure about the twinges, it so hard to use physical sign as sign of pg with all these meds, but stay positive, you will know VERY soon. That is cute about your mom, I bet she is so excited.

Kbear: Sounds like fun; I am jealous! I need to plan a lil trip too to keep my mind occupied during the 2ww. Take care of yourself, and make dh carry all the money you win

Rin:Hmm, That is interesting that they check the hcg levels... I agree with you and am a bit cynical when my clinic advises something. Ia m always trying to figure out if it benefits themm or me. There are pluses and minuses to 3dt and 5dt, I just hope my RE thinks about wheat is best for me, and not just his stats.

Marin: SOmetimes I think the follies are hiding during suppression, so they just don't notice them.

Tammy: WTG on 8 that is great, I hope they make it day 5, but stay positive, they have just as much of a chance as a 3day transfer!!

Well my massage yesterday was great, but now I am sooooooo sore it's not even funny. I wish I hadn't of even gone. boo-hoo poor me, ok I am done whining!

I had my u/s and b/w today. I think i'm triggering tomorrow with ER on Tues!!!!
Do I ice the trigger shot area before? Any advice for less pain? The nurse said the numbing cream probably won't help!

I had about 25 follicles and 3200 estrodiol level.
